Gorba burned with rage at the palace gate, his face flushed with anger.
The freckles on his head were even
He clenched his fist, his knuckles cracking, "Konev, you are challenging the authority of the entire Soviet Bear Alliance!"
Konev's face remained calm, his eyes cold, and he did not respond.
He knew very well that after Gorba's reforms over the past few years, the Soviet Bear Alliance was on the verge of collapse.
This was the last chance to save the Soviet Bear Alliance at the last moment.
Even
If the Soviet Bear continued like this, it would inevitably face disintegration.
Konev looked at Gorba, his eyes filled with disappointment.
As the president of an alliance, his heart was filled with admiration for all things Western.
This late-stage patient, deeply brainwashed, was beyond salvation!
In just a few short sentences, Konev's thoughts had changed.
He had originally planned to place Gorba under house arrest, controlling his orders and refusals, and then making further arrangements for him.
But judging from the current situation, keeping Gorba would only drag down the Soviet Bear Alliance.
So Konev stepped forward, looked straight at his father, and took a document from his briefcase, pressing it against his chest.
"This is a contingency plan, designed to address high-risk factors that could lead to the disintegration of the Soviet Bear Alliance and provide emergency solutions."
"We will immediately form an Emergency State Committee provisional government to take control of the Soviet Bear Alliance and implement a curfew."
"No one can let the Soviet Bear Alliance fall apart, not even you, the current leader of the Soviet Bear."
Gorba's eyes widened, his bloodshot eyes filled with anger, "You traitor! You rebel!"
"I have worked tirelessly for the Soviet Bear Alliance for so many years!"
"My entire life, these 37 years! All dedicated to the Soviet Bear, and yet I am threatened by you, a traitor!"
"You! Vice President Yanaev, Marshal Yazov, what are you waiting for!"
Gorba's voice rose, sounding particularly shrill.
He couldn't believe his own son was leading a rebellion!
"President Gorba, it's over."
Marshal Yazov replied calmly, "There is only one betrayal in our eyes, and that is the attempt to disintegrate the Soviet Bear Alliance."
"As Konev said, no one can let the Soviet Bear Alliance disintegrate. If you were to cause such an outcome, then..."
"Rebellion! You have no loyalty! Who promoted you to where you are now!?"
"Everything you have was bestowed upon you by me! Only democracy and freedom will allow us to continue to develop!"
Gorba used all his strength to tear the emergency contingency plan in half, throwing it on the ground, white pages fluttering wildly.
Konev remained unmoved, his expression calm and stern: "Rebellion? Treachery? If there is true treason, it is you."
"The sovereign state union you are leading is a mistake, it will only make the Soviet Bear lose its vassal states."
"Every inch of land in the Soviet Bear Alliance was won by the blood and lives of our people."
"And you, you grant independence to the member states, allowing the territory our ancestors fought for to be lost bit by bit. This act is treason."
"You have betrayed all the Soviet people who trusted you."
Gorba was stunned by the determination in these words, he was speechless.
In his eyes, the production reform, economic reform, and political reform he wanted to lead were all based on the absolute superiority of the Western system.
This was learning economic development from the advanced free world and respecting human nature while learning about political systems.
The more he thought about it, the angrier he got, Gorba felt like his efforts were being treated like a donkey's liver and lungs, and retorted: "You are backward in your thinking, you are dogmatic!"
"You should know that the Eagles helped us during our most difficult times. But now?"
"We are fighting against the Eagles, putting the Eagles who lent us money to help us through our crisis in a difficult position."
"Is this what we should be doing? The Eagles just want to spread their advanced culture and let the light of freedom and democracy shine on our Soviet Bear land!"
"They have a superior system, a superior culture, and are so generous in teaching and spreading it to us. This is the light of humanity!"
As Gorba spoke, his eyes even flickered with gratitude.
The generals and officials standing nearby were dumbfounded.
The guards behind him were also stunned, their fingers trembling on the triggers.
Konev couldn't help but chuckle, a look of enlightenment dawning on his face.
He had heard about the Eagles' powerful brainwashing techniques, but he had never imagined they could be this effective.
Seeing the live example before him, Konev could feel that it was impossible to persuade Gorba to change his mind.
This licking, ingrained in his bones, even if he was sold later, even if he encountered more difficulties, would only blame himself for being a Soviet Bear.
Beyond saving, no need to save!
But that didn't mean letting the hard work of those working people go to waste!
Konev's eyes grew colder, and he took a step forward, his voice sharp as he stated:
"Loans, you are grateful? If you hadn't gone all out on heavy industry, would I have needed to use our precious mines, oil, large quantities of rare metals and various resources, and natural gas to exchange for the North League's spoiled flour?"
"We exchanged the equity of our valuable high-level companies for the Eagles' moldy rice!?"
"Who cut the research funds of our scientists and technical experts, who made them give up their life's work and go to a heavy machinery factory to apprentice as blacksmiths?"
"The Soviet Bear Alliance used to be vast and rich in resources, everything was plentiful."
"The Soviet Bear could make any small deployment move, and the Eagles and the North League would be terrified and unable to sleep for days."
"And now, your so-called democracy and freedom have only resulted in the people not having enough to eat or wear."
Gorba was speechless at this point.
He looked at Konev's cold gaze, feeling a sense of grievance and annoyance.
"I was doing it for you! For the future of the entire Soviet Bear!"
"You shortsighted fools! How can you not understand!"
"Useless! You are all dragging down the Soviet Bear!"
"It must be you, secretly obstructing me, that has caused all my reforms to fail!"
"It's all you, it's all you!"
Gorba's voice grew louder, his anger and frustration finally exploding.
He stomped his foot, pointing at Konev's nose, coldly cursing: "You rebel! I trusted you so much, and yet you are leading these traitors in a rebellion and trying to overthrow me!"
"I'm cutting off ties with you today, I'm sending you to prison!"
