Following the style of the common room, the Hufflepuff student dormitories were equally spacious and warm.
The nearly one-hundred-square-meter room housed four beds, separated by desks and wardrobes, leaving enough space for each person.
During the final dormitory allocation, due to a one-person difference, only three boys were assigned to Wayne's dorm.
The elves had already delivered their luggage to their beds. After tidying up and washing their faces, they lay down on their beds and started chatting.
First, they introduced themselves.
"My name is Norman Sherlock," the blond boy closest to the door introduced himself enthusiastically. "My family is ordinary. My dad is a school teacher, and my mom is a real estate agent. When I got the acceptance letter, I thought it was a prank."
"But the next day, Professor Flitwick came. My mom initially thought he was a beggar with a disability and gave him five pounds."
"Later, Professor Flitwick cast a spell, conjuring a wild bull out of thin air and making it fly around the house. Only then did they believe me."
Norman's eyes were sparkling.
Once he learned this spell, wouldn't his family always have beef?
"We're not that different," said the dark-haired boy lying between Wayne and Norman. His name was Toby Brown.
"My family is half and half. My mom is a witch."
Norman asked in confusion, "Then aren't you half-blood? How can you say you're similar to me?"
"To conceal our identity, my mother never used magic in front of us," Toby explained. "When she received the letter from the owl, Dad thought it was a scam, while Mom insisted it was all true."
"But when Dad asked her to prove it, she hadn't used magic in so long that she forgot where she put her wand."
"In the end, it was Professor McGonagall who came, and only then did my Dad believe it."
"Ahem!"
Norman burst out laughing, and Wayne, who was drinking water, choked.
What kind of bizarre stories were these.
"What about you, Wayne? Are you half-blood or Muggle-born?" Toby asked.
Wayne didn't need an introduction. His antics in the hall and his over-ten-minute sorting process had engraved his name in every young wizard's memory.
"I'm from a Muggle family. My reaction to the acceptance letter was similar to yours, nothing special."
Wayne simply said this, avoiding any mention of his family's situation.
It was already late, so they agreed to meet in the common room the next morning for Cedric to show them around. Then, the dorm returned to silence.
It seemed that his roommates were both easy to get along with. The only downside was that Toby snored.
But this didn't pose a challenge for Wayne.
"Silent spell."
Without even using his wand, Wayne simply waved his hand, silencing Toby. The effect would last for three to five hours.
【Sneak attack on roommate, +5 points】
???
Alright, alright, you want to play like this, huh?
Fine, call it a sneak attack. As long as you give me points.
....
September 2nd, the official first day of school.
Wayne woke up naturally at seven o'clock, slapped each of his roommates, waking them up. After washing up, they arrived at the common room.
Only the four of them were in the common room. In terms of laziness, Hufflepuff was definitely serious.
Few people left their dorms before the last minute, and those who did went straight to the Great Hall for dinner.
"Let's go, have breakfast first, get our schedules, and I'll show you around."
They left through the passage and soon arrived at the Great Hall.
Living in the basement had this advantage. It was close to the dining hall, and most of the classrooms were on the lower floors, saving a lot of time compared to Gryffindor and Ravenclaw.
It wasn't eight o'clock yet, and there were few students in the Great Hall. On the Gryffindor table, only Hermione was among the new students.
Seeing Wayne, she waved and greeted him.
Wayne walked over.
"I'm going to follow Cedric to get to know the place. Do you want to come along?"
"Sure," Hermione readily agreed.
She had read "Hogwarts: A History," so she knew how tricky the school's staircases could be.
The reason she got up so early was to have time to familiarize herself with the place.
After a brief conversation, Wayne returned to the Hufflepuff table for breakfast.
Compared to yesterday's feast, today's breakfast was much simpler.
Roasted potatoes, bread, sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, and drinks included milk and a few types of juice, as well as hot cocoa.
Wayne pulled out two slices of bread for himself, spread them with mayonnaise, and then added a few slices of bacon and eggs, creating a simple sandwich.
Soon after he sat down, a parchment timetable appeared in front of him.
This year, first-year wizards had eight courses: Potions, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, History of Magic, Herbology, Astronomy, and Flying.
Astronomy and Flying classes were held only once a week, with Astronomy taking place at night.
The remaining six courses had two to three lessons each week, each lasting fifty minutes.
Wayne had no classes on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons this semester. Including weekends, he had almost a 50/50 split between classes and free time. It was quite relaxed.
A while later, the twins arrived in the Great Hall.
They looked around and found Wayne at the back. Immediately, they charged toward him, appearing ready to start a fight.
"Wayne, you dare show your face!"
Wayne glanced at the passage behind the High Table, his eyes flickering. He asked suspiciously, "Why wouldn't I dare show my face? You and Cedric were the ones who tricked me."
Fred sneered, "We only told you. Why did you tell the other students?"
"I didn't know you were lying."
"Don't act innocent, Wayne." George made a funny face. "I could tell right away you weren't a good guy."
"We've only ever played pranks on others, never been tricked like this."
Wayne showed a scared expression, "What are you going to do? Aren't you afraid I'll tell Professor McGonagall?"
Fred scoffed, "What good would it do if you told even Professor Dumbledore? Can you find evidence?"
"Mr. Lawrence can't, but I can."
A cold, indifferent voice came from behind the two, and the smiles on Fred and George's faces froze.
They transferred to Wayne's face.
