Han Ki Sang’s eyes widened in anger, like cowbells, attempting to nail Choi Eun Ho to the spot with his gaze.
Choi Eun Ho simply clapped his hands and turned to leave with a smile. As a South Korean, Han Ki Sang’s eyes were wide open, indicating that his anger had reached its peak.
Choi Eun Ho walked to the parking lot, got into his car, and glanced at his watch. It was already past four in the afternoon, and he still needed to return to the prosecutor’s office. Despite being on his honeymoon, he needed to handle Kim Seok Woo's case.
Being a prosecutor is an extremely demanding job. It requires not only handling various cases but also undergoing regular assessments. One needs to work hard to solve cases and use their off-duty time for learning. Unless one chooses to quit, the only way to make it easier is to get promoted.
Despite this, compared to other Korean civil servants, the job of a prosecutor is still relatively relaxed.

Choi Eun Ho drove towards the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. Halfway there, his phone rang. He took a look and saw it was an unfamiliar number.
"Hello, who is this?" he asked.
"Prosecutor Choi, it's me, Han Ki Sang!" the other party replied.
Choi Eun Ho was taken aback. Han Ki Sang seemed to harbor no resentment for the earlier confrontation.
He couldn't help but ask in confusion, "Your head, doesn't it hurt anymore?" He had clearly hit Han Ki Sang hard, but there wasn't a hint of resentment in the other's tone.
Han Ki Sang answered with a wide smile, "It's fine now. I accidentally used my head to catch Prosecutor Choi's cup earlier, so I'm here to apologize."
His tone was full of flattery.
Choi Eun Ho couldn't help but chuckle, silently pondering to himself: Was this kid being forced by Jang An Tae, or was he doing this willingly? He became curious about Han Ki Sang's motives.
Han Ki Sang smiled widely, his voice low and humble, "Prosecutor Choi, there were too many people in the meeting room earlier, it was my fault. Please be magnanimous and don't hold it against me." He seemed to be trying his best to make his attitude appear more sincere.
Choi Eun Ho furrowed his brows slightly, coldly asking, "Is this your own idea, or someone else's instruction?"
Han Ki Sang quickly replied, "Of course it's my own idea. Tae San hyung told me to do it, but after thinking it over, I didn't dare to act rashly. He's still angry."
He spoke rapidly, as if afraid that speaking slowly would be misconstrued.
Choi Eun Ho listened silently, the phone in his hand trembling slightly, but not making any sound.
"Prosecutor Choi, I really don't want to be an enemy with you, but I can't ignore Tae San hyung's orders. You see..."
"Don't worry, I have no grudge against you."
Choi Eun Ho smiled faintly, his words carrying a deeper meaning, "However, I might need your help in the future..."
He thought to himself, this young man is truly not simple. This ability to act in a certain way in front of everyone and be sincere and apologetic behind their backs is not something that ordinary people can easily achieve.
"Understood, understood. As long as it's within my power, I will do my best!"
Han Ki Sang readily agreed.
"Good, then I'll hang up. I have other matters to attend to."
Gazing at the towering building of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, Choi Eun Ho ended the phone call.
Putting his phone in his pocket, he gently pressed the brake pedal, the car coming to a steady stop.
He glanced at his watch, it was almost five o'clock.
Stepping into the office building, he was met with colleagues coming and going, greeting Choi Eun Ho enthusiastically.
While their faces seemed familiar, their names and positions were difficult to recall at that moment.
He could only confirm their identities through the badges they wore on their chests.
As time passed, the memories of the original owner's unacceptance faded like ripples on the surface of the water, and those marginal memories quickly disappeared as if washed away by the tide. Choi Eun Ho quickened his pace, walked down the long corridor, and arrived at his own office.
His position was in the Criminal Division Six, under the Second Chief Prosecutor. It was an elite department.
The entire criminal division had only seven departments, each with about seven or eight prosecutors, plus the head. They together formed this serious crimes unit.
Their main task was to investigate and handle various criminal cases, including economic crimes, high-tech crimes, and corruption crimes.
Choi Eun Ho stepped out of the elevator, followed the floor corridor, and finally arrived at his office. He reached out to push open the door, his eyes quickly scanning the interior, but he instantly lost all interest.
There were three men sitting in the office.
One was sitting by the door, the other two were sitting opposite him. They were facing the door, chatting and laughing, looking very happy.
This room was his outer chamber. His real office was on the inside of this room, separated by a glass wall. The blinds were tightly closed, blocking his view.
He stepped into the room, the man by the door immediately stood up, bowed slightly to him, and greeted him softly:
"Prosecutor Choi, why are you here at this time?"
The other two men also immediately turned serious, stood up, and bowed in respect.
The man by the door was his administrative officer, named Park Guk Chang. He wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, was tall and thin, and had fair skin. He looked quite handsome.
Unfortunately, he was not a woman. Choi Eun Ho secretly sighed in his heart.
The other two were his investigators, named Choi Ho Ran and Ha Tae Jun. They had ordinary features, but good temperament. They also seemed to be intelligent and capable types.
He only knew the identities of these few people, but regarding the things they had experienced with the original owner and the things they had done, there were blanks in his memory.
"Well, I'm back to handle some things. You can continue to work."
Choi Eun Ho pretended to be relaxed, but couldn't help but feel a slight joy in his heart.
As a prosecutor, except for his superiors, basically all civil servants had to bow and use honorifics when addressing him.
Although ordinary people have a dislike for prosecutors, they still have to be respectful when they see them.
"Prosecutor Choi, the number of unsolved cases has increased recently. I have compiled them and placed them on your desk." Administrative officer Park Guk Chang reminded him with his usual meticulous attitude.
Choi Eun Ho nodded slightly, indicating that he was aware of it.
He looked through the glass wall, his eyes falling upon the stack of case files on his desk. Roughly estimated, there were about ten or so cases waiting for him to handle.
Although he worked in Criminal Division Six, the cases assigned to him were all insignificant, little-noticed small cases, and some even only required a little mediation to settle.
This arrangement was actually something he had requested himself.
