Chapter 13
Where Did This Little Scoundrel Come From

Don't misunderstand that the underworld is just a bunch of thugs in tank tops, covered in tattoos, and with menacing expressions. They are only a part of the lower echelon.

Over years of development, many underworld businesses have infiltrated various fields, and their upper echelons are no different from company white-collar management.

Although they sometimes resort to violence.

The somewhat low-rise office building in front of Choi Eun Ho was the property of the Seven Stars Society. Most of the tenants were small companies.

He had already confirmed that Jang An Tae and the others were holding an industry adjustment meeting here.

In a corner of the Seven Stars Society, Choi Eun Ho finally found the hidden room.

Without hesitation, he knocked on the door and then pushed it open directly.

Inside the room, at the head of the long table, a composed and handsome middle-aged man, Jang An Tae, was waiting for him.

He looked at Choi Eun Ho, a slight smile playing on his lips, and said sarcastically:

"Oh, isn't this our Prosecutor Choi? Why, suddenly remembered to visit your father-in-law?"

Choi Eun Ho's identity was a secret known only to him within the Seven Stars Society.

Therefore, they had to perform a play in front of everyone, a righteous prosecutor facing off against a black society boss.

For an undercover mission, only the mastermind needs to know, too many people in the know will only expose the undercover's identity.

"Dad, let these people go out first. I have some words from the prosecutor's office that I need to tell you privately."

Choi Eun Ho said, casually pulling a vacant chair and sitting down with a swagger.

His words caused a wave of dissatisfaction among those present. Clearly, they were unhappy with his words.

Across from Choi Eun Ho, a young man with a defiant look on his face suddenly slammed his fist on the table and roared in a low voice.

"Choi Eun Ho, you may be a prosecutor, but don't forget, you are still the son-in-law of our Chairman! This is the territory of the Seven Stars Society!"

Choi Eun Ho's eyebrows twitched slightly, a hint of surprise in his eyes. He looked at the young man, a sense of bewilderment growing within him:

Are today's youngsters all so arrogant?

Choi Eun Ho recognized the young man. He was the son of the former number two of the Seven Stars Society, Han Ki Sang.

After his father's death, he had nominally taken over the position of number two, but due to his lack of status and experience, the others in the gang didn't take him seriously.

He acted eccentrically, had a quick temper, and was like a child who had just learned to walk, deliberately attracting attention.

Based on the memories of the original owner, Choi Eun Ho felt that this young man was not simple. It was estimated that it would be difficult for ordinary people to even obtain the position of number two.

Jang An Tae stared deeply at Choi Eun Ho, a glimmer of tacit approval in his eyes.

Choi Eun Ho caught this look and immediately understood. He immediately grabbed the glass in front of him and slammed it hard against Han Ki Sang's head.

Bang!

A loud crash,

Followed by

Crack!

The clear sound of the glass shattering on the ground.

Ah! Ssibal! You dare hit me!

Han Ki Sang was struck by the glass and yelled in pain. Blood trickled down from his forehead.

He covered his forehead and glared fiercely at Choi Eun Ho, his eyes filled with a ferocious light.

However, he dared not take any action.

Where did this little punk come from, daring to interrupt when Chairman Jang and I are talking!

Choi Eun Ho sat back in his chair, lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and then said calmly.

Prosecutor Choi, although Ki Sang's words were a bit harsh, they don't warrant a physical assault.

The man sitting across from Choi Eun Ho, with a rather outstanding appearance, looked at Choi Eun Ho with a hint of reproach, a smile playing on his lips as he spoke softly.

As soon as these words were spoken, the eyes of everyone except Jang An Tae turned towards him, including Choi Eun Ho's.

Oh, then what do you think, Tae San? Should I remain silent when I'm insulted?

Choi Eun Ho looked at him with a hint of interest.

This man was Jang Su Sik's half-brother, a bastard child left behind by Jang An Tae when he was living a dissolute life before marriage.

Choi Eun Ho remembered that after he turned twenty, he learned of his true identity and abandoned his former ordinary office worker adoptive father and acknowledged Jang An Tae as his biological father.

This could be considered truly recognizing the enemy as his father.

Ki Sang's words were indeed rude, and we will naturally punish him. Eun Ho, give me some face.

Jang Tae San pressed down on the documents on the table, smiling.

In his eyes, Choi Eun Ho had just gotten married, and his identity as his brother-in-law still carried some weight.

Choi Eun Ho's reaction was unexpected to everyone. Instead of maintaining a surface of civility, he slammed his palm onto the table, his anger burning as he raised his voice:

"Give you face? As your brother-in-law, I've been insulted and I have to show weakness to the outside world!

Then today, I will speak to you in a different capacity!"

He turned to Jang An Tae with a sharp gaze, his voice low and powerful:

"Chairman Jang, please have the irrelevant people leave. This is an order from the Prosecutor's Office."

Jang Tae San's smiling face instantly froze. He clearly didn't expect Choi Eun Ho to suddenly erupt, putting him in an awkward position in front of everyone.

"Everyone, please go out. Prosecutor Choi and I have some private matters to discuss."

Seeing this, Jang An Tae immediately stepped in to save the situation, trying to alleviate his son's embarrassment.

"Yes, Chairman." As Jang An Tae's voice fell, everyone in the conference room immediately stood up and left.

Jang An Tae's eyes darkened as he glanced at the two still sitting in their seats, then he also walked out of the conference room.

Han Ki Sang followed closely behind, holding his head and staring fiercely at Choi Eun Ho.

Choi Eun Ho leaned back in his chair, giving him a slight smile.

The door to the conference room slowly closed. Choi Eun Ho took a deep drag of his cigarette and then extinguished the butt in the ashtray in front of him. "Dad, someone is investigating me." He said calmly.

Jang An Tae's eyes narrowed, and he said in a deep voice:

"It must be someone Su Sik found. What do you plan to do about this?"

"It's not just Su Sik,"

Choi Eun Ho shook his head slightly,

"I've already dealt with most of it, but I still need to discuss it with you. There are some specific details that need to be clarified so that we can share information."

"Go on." Jang An Tae motioned for him to continue.

"On Monday, the Seoul Central Prosecutor's Office will hold a press conference to announce that I am an undercover agent of the Prosecutor's Office and that my secret contact with the underworld was only to gather intelligence."

Choi Eun Ho's expression turned serious.

"You mean... using your undercover identity to stop them from investigating you?" A hint of confusion flashed in Jang An Tae's eyes.
