Chapter 52
The Countess' Daughter, Lorna is Captured

Whoa!!

As the price of "five hundred thousand pounds" was announced, everyone else looked at the beautiful woman at the end of the table with a look of disbelief.

It was the Earl's daughter!

They quickly recognized her identity and immediately understood. She was from a family of Earls, and they weren't short of money at all.

This little bit of money was nothing to her.

It was normal to pay for happiness.

“Five hundred thousand!?I'm rich, I'm rich."

Jack was overjoyed. That guy, Lu Hao, had done what he said he would. He said the Holy Spirit Sword could be sold for five hundred thousand pounds and he really sold it for five hundred thousand pounds.

Now he was going to make a fortune.

He had originally planned to sneak into the indigenous tribe and steal the Holy Spirit Sword. According to custom, he could have sold it to the Earl for at most one hundred thousand pounds.

But Lu Hao had done a little something and increased the selling price to five hundred thousand pounds at auction.

It was great.

And this time, Lu Hao didn't bid anymore. He knew when to stop and turned around to smile at the beautiful woman, thanking her for their support.

The woman's face was a little gloomy, but she didn't say anything. She just went backstage to pay for the sword and retrieve it.

"You little rascal, you're good!"

Under everyone's surprised gazes, Jack happily jumped down from the second floor and went up to Lu Hao, punching him in the chest a few times. "According to our agreement, we'll split the money 60/40. You get 60%, I get 40%."

"Thank you for your generosity."

"No problem, no problem. Let's not talk about it anymore. Let's go celebrate back at the hotel."

Jack was overjoyed. This haul was far beyond his expectations, making him very satisfied.

The auction house would deposit the money into their accounts after the buyer paid, so they didn't have to wait.

"We should celebrate."

Lu Hao chuckled, having just ruthlessly scammed the Earl's daughter. He wondered if the Earl would be angry after learning what happened.

As they were about to leave to discuss where they would go to celebrate.

The Earl's daughter, who had bought the Holy Spirit Sword, walked towards them with a handbag in hand from the entrance of the auction house.

Lu Hao and Jack exchanged glances, each understanding the situation.

This was not good!

They had just scammed her for a large sum of money, and now she was coming to settle the score.

"Asian Flying Eagle, Asian Flying Dragon!?"

The Earl's daughter's eyes were slightly sharp as she looked at the two of them, directly calling out their names.

"…"

Jack coughed dryly. "You know us!?"

"I've heard of you!"

The Earl's daughter's face was expressionless, making it impossible to tell what she was thinking. But she was probably unhappy. After all, she had just been fleeced.

"Miss, congratulations on winning the Holy Spirit Sword!"

Lu Hao smiled politely, congratulating the Earl's daughter. "This Holy Spirit Sword is definitely worth more than what you paid for it."

"…"

Jack rubbed his nose. Lu Hao, that guy, just had to keep digging a deeper hole. What he said was basically pouring gasoline on the fire!

The beautiful girl was probably going to explode.

Sure enough, the Earl's daughter's eyes turned vicious when she heard this, and her tone was harsh. "Thank you for your congratulations!" She snorted. "If the Asian Flying Dragon values the Holy Spirit Sword so much, then I won't be at a loss for spending five hundred thousand pounds to buy it."

If it hadn't been for the fact that she wanted to show filial piety to her father and help him complete the set of God's Armament, she would never have fallen for this trick.

"We're destined to meet. Why don't we give you a ride!?"

Lu Hao chuckled and extended an invitation to the Earl's daughter.

"Of course I don't mind."

The Earl's daughter's eyes flickered, and her face was slightly cold, like a sulking young lady.

"Jack, leave it to…"

Seeing that the Earl's daughter seemed to be in a bad mood, Lu Hao turned around to pass the trouble on to Jack.

Partners were there to be tricked.

"Lu Hao, meet you at the hotel!"

Jack heard this and immediately got in the car without saying a word. He waved his hand with a smile and then sped away.

Lu Hao had started the fire and wanted to throw the blame on him. He could only dream.

He was gone!

Looking at this, Lu Hao coughed dryly and shrugged. "Looks like I'll have to give you a ride." He said, very politely opened the passenger door of the Wrangler and made a "please" gesture.

"I didn't expect you to be so polite."

The Earl's daughter glanced at Lu Hao and then unceremoniously got in the passenger seat.

Lu Hao chuckled, got in, turned the key, and started the car. Just then, the Earl's daughter suddenly said, "Wait, I changed my mind."

"What!?"

Lu Hao raised his eyebrows, looking at her with a strange expression.

"Your car has too much wind and will blow my hair. I'd rather ride in my own car."

The Earl's daughter had a smug smile on her face, got out of the car, and got into the Rolls Royce beside her. She rolled down the window and looked at Lu Hao, saying, "Do you know what it feels like to be tricked?"

Lu Hao smiled and said nonchalantly, "We each tricked each other once. Doesn't that mean we're even!?" He had guessed what this little girl was going to do from watching movies, so he didn't mind.

"You think too highly of yourself!"

The Earl's daughter snorted. Her five hundred thousand pounds was a real loss, while Lu Hao was unscathed. What kind of even was that?

"Drive!!"

She had a cold look on her face as she told the driver to start the car. Then, she drove off into the traffic on the bustling street.

Lu Hao shook his head and smiled. He started the car and drove back to the hotel to meet with Jack.

"What? Rona was kidnapped!?"

Lu Hao and Jack arrived at the hotel one after the other. When Lu Hao appeared in the hotel lobby, Jack was talking to a man who was dressed a bit flamboyantly and carrying a lot of luggage.

"Jack, something's wrong!?"

After noticing the situation, Lu Hao frowned and stepped forward to inquire.

Jack glanced at Lu Hao and sighed in a worried tone. "It's a friend of mine who was kidnapped."

"Jack, he's..."

"Let me introduce you."

Seeing that the two were strangers, Jack acted as a middleman and introduced them. He pointed at the flamboyant man. "This is Aaron. He's an old friend of mine. He's a well-known singer in Hong Kong." Then, he introduced Lu Hao to Aaron. "His name is Lu Hao. He's my partner. He's also a bounty hunter."

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you!"

Lu Hao politely smiled and shook hands with Aaron.

"Jack, I just heard that one of your friends was kidnapped? If you don't mind, can I hear more? Maybe I can help."

"I just heard about it too. I don't know the details yet."

Jack, of course, didn't mind Lu Hao getting involved. More hands meant more help.

Besides, Lu Hao had a lot of skills, and he might be able to help.
