Chapter 18
Gryffindor vs. Slytherin

“Cool!! Dong! You were the one who saved Neville!” Ron looked at Zhang Dong with excitement. He had to admit, that move just now was really cool.

Hermione, on the other hand, rolled her eyes at Ron before turning to Zhang Dong. “It’s the Levitation Charm, right? We’re learning it tomorrow in Charms class. I even previewed it.”

“The one that makes feathers fly?” Harry also remembered the video he watched last night.

“Wait… but Zhang Dong didn’t say anything?”

“That’s the Non-Verbal Spell Casting Technique. It’s a very advanced casting skill. Even upperclassmen don’t know how to do it,” Hermione explained again.

As she spoke, her eyes were shining with excitement as she looked at Zhang Dong.

The others were the same.

The Levitation Charm wasn’t anything new; they would learn it tomorrow.

But Non-Verbal Spell Casting Technique, just the name sounded cool.

“Hmph, I’ll learn it sooner or later,” Malfoy muttered unhappily. Then, his sharp eyes spotted a crystal ball radiating in the sunlight and walked over to pick it up.

A Memory Ball, a type of magic artifact. This thing, as long as you hold it in your hand, when the white mist inside turns red, it will remind the holder and tell him that he forgot something. Considering Neville’s forgetfulness, his grandmother specially prepared this for him.

Holding the Memory Ball, Malfoy also excitedly said

“Look what I found? That chubby guy’s crystal ball! I’m going to put it on the roof and let him find it himself.”

“Give me the ball, Malfoy!” Harry looked at Malfoy in front of him. As Neville’s roommate, he naturally couldn’t just pretend he didn’t see it.

However, Malfoy would never listen to Harry. After all, he hated Harry the most in all of Hogwarts.

“No! I’m going to hide this ball and let Longbottom find it himself.”

After saying that, he immediately got on his broom, his body became light and he flew into the sky.

However, Malfoy had only flown three meters high when he realized that the broom under him had suddenly turned into a thick war club, and the head of the club was facing Malfoy’s little butt.

“Ah!!”

Malfoy screamed and fell from the sky, crashing heavily to the ground. Three meters, not really that high, but it looked like Malfoy had a much worse fall than Neville.

“Malfoy!”

Crabbe and Goyle, as Malfoy’s lackeys, quickly rushed to help him up. Seeing Malfoy fall flat on his face and still holding his butt, all the little lions couldn’t help but laugh.

“Zhang Dong!!”

Malfoy looked at Zhang Dong in front of him, his face flushed with shame and anger. Non-Verbal Spell Casting! Who else besides Zhang Dong here could do that?!

Swoosh!

Malfoy directly pulled out his wand. He, Draco Malfoy, had never suffered such a loss! Seeing Malfoy about to attack, Crabbe and Goyle also immediately pulled out their wands.

Although these two had low IQs, their loyalty to Malfoy was indeed commendable.

“Zhang Dong! Today we’re going to teach you a lesson! Stupefy!”

“Leg-Locker!”

“Imperio!”

Three against one! Unfair fight!

In an instant, three spells turned into three beams of light and shot towards Zhang Dong.

“Zhang Dong, we’ll help you!” Harry and Ron held their wands, and then they realized… they didn’t seem to know any offensive spells.

Hermione knew a few, but she had just pulled out her wand when Zhang Dong had already cast his spell.

“Protego!”

A transparent barrier appeared in front of Zhang Dong. Bang! Bang! Bang! The three beams of light were blocked by Protego and turned into bursts of magic energy! However, the barrier of Protego was also offset by these three spells.

And the moment the barrier disappeared, a red beam of light had already arrived in front of Malfoy.

“Expelliarmus!”

Bang!

Faced with the intermediate level Expelliarmus, Malfoy had no way to resist. With a flash of red light, his small body was directly knocked to the ground, and the wand in his hand flew out of his grasp, landing directly in Zhang Dong’s hand.

“Malfoy!”

Crabbe and Goyle immediately wanted to release another spell, but their casting speed was no match for Zhang Dong’s.

“Expelliarmus!” x2!

Swoosh Swoosh!

Another two beams of red light struck down, and Crabbe and Goyle fell beside Malfoy. Zhang Dong’s hands now held three wands.

1v3, Zhang Dong won!

“Zhang Dong!”

The remaining Slytherins also saw that the situation was not right. They quickly pulled out their wands and stood in front of Malfoy and the other three. Who says Slytherins are not united? Looking at it now, their cohesion is actually quite strong.

Looking at the pile of Slytherins in front of him, Zhang Dong calmly pointed his wand at them.

Seeing Zhang Dong’s action, these Slytherins instinctively took a step back. Don’t blame them for being timid. After all, this is just the beginning of the school year, and they don’t actually know many spells!

Seeing that the situation was not good, finally, a sharp and mean-spirited girl stood out from the crowd and shouted loudly.

“Zhang Dong! Don’t get cocky! There are many of us! You can’t possibly defeat us before you run out of magic! I advise you to stop immediately! We can forget about this.”

Zhang Dong looked at the girl in front of him with a speechless expression. If he remembered correctly, this girl’s name should be Pansy Parkinson, right? He had some impression of this girl.

In the Philosopher’s Stone, Rowling described her as ugly, arrogant, and in Prisoner of Azkaban, she was described as having a face like a pug.

Don’t look at her ugliness. After all, she was Malfoy’s first love. I don’t know how Malfoy fell for her. You say true love?

That can’t be true. Didn’t Malfoy later decisively break up with her and marry Astoria, the then Slytherin flower?

As Zhang Dong was lost in thought, at this time, a group of little lions also took out their wands without hesitation and stood behind Zhang Dong. Even Harry, who couldn’t cast spells, silently picked up his broom and stood next to Zhang Dong, seemingly ready to go head-to-head with the other side.

It’s a joke, Gryffindor’s little lions, we dare not say anything else, but unity is definitely the number one among the four houses, especially when it comes to fighting with people. If anyone chickened out, they would definitely be looked down upon by everyone.

At this moment, the atmosphere between the two sides was already like fire and water, and as soon as Zhang Dong gave the order, the war would begin!

However, just as Gryffindor and Slytherin’s first battle was about to break out, a voice echoed in everyone’s ears,

“What do you think you’re doing!”

Hearing this voice, the Gryffindors who had been fierce just now suddenly became more docile than cats. They couldn’t help but be docile, because the person who came was their Gryffindor headmaster.

Minerva McGonagall!
