Chapter Sixteen: You Wouldn't Want Your Friend to Live in a Bad Place, Would You?
“Oh! Scabbers! What’s wrong with you?!”
Ron asked, holding Scabbers in his arms with concern. But in Ron’s arms, the fat rat wasn’t at all calm. Its small paws were constantly gesturing as if to accuse Zhang Dong of his “atrocities” just now.
Unfortunately, Ron didn’t understand beast language. He could only scratch his head and then took out a box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, looking at it and asking, “Are you hungry? Do you want some Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans?”
Scabbers…
His own human was really silly.
Zhang Dong, on the other hand, came to Ron’s side. He stared intently at Scabbers in front of him, then said,
“I heard there’s a disease called the plague, also called the Black Death. In the Middle Ages, it claimed the lives of 25 million people. It’s spread by rats. I heard that rats will go crazy like this before they get sick, and they may even bite people.”
“Ah?” Ron shivered as he listened to Zhang Dong’s words. Although he hadn’t known Zhang Dong for long, he always had the impression that he was a knowledgeable, calm, and reliable person. Naturally, he would believe what Zhang Dong said.
Only Scabbers looked at Zhang Dong foolishly, as if to say:
You have the plague! You have the Black Death!
“It… it shouldn’t be like that,” Ron said timidly. Out of his affection for Scabbers, he still couldn’t bear to euthanize it.
Seeing Ron say that, Zhang Dong said, “Then, let’s change your cage to one with sturdy bars. Put a lock on it. You wouldn’t want your rat to bite your friends, would you?”
Although Zhang Dong felt that with Peter Pettigrew’s small courage, he wouldn’t dare to come out and retaliate after he fell asleep, but it was better to be safe than sorry. Zhang Dong, a cautious person like him, would never make such a low-level mistake.
He would change the cage to titanium alloy and put a big lock on it. If the rat dared to reveal its true form, he would be squeezed into a meat paste in the cage. That way, Zhang Dong could rest assured.
Ron was still hesitating, thinking if it was a little unfriendly to Scabbers. Then he heard Zhang Dong say,
“I’ll pay for the cage and get it a running wheel so it can exercise inside.”
“Okay!” Ron immediately agreed.
Cough, cough, he wasn’t心疼那点笼子钱, it was mainly because he wanted Scabbers to have a better living environment, wasn’t he?
Seeing Ron agree, Zhang Dong smiled and then silently went to his bed to rest.
But lying in bed, Zhang Dong was still silently thinking about his own business.
“I can’t always use Scabbers to practice spells. Otherwise, I’ll find the Room of Requirement someday. Having a private space would make many things easier.”
Thinking about this, Zhang Dong secretly cast a Petrificus Totalus on Scabbers whose cage had not been changed, and then he closed his eyes peacefully and fell into a dreamland.
Scabbers, turned into stone…
Flying Class
As a wizard, broomsticks are definitely one of their most important tools. After all, compared to cleaning up garbage heaps, flying on a broomstick is more in line with their wizarding temperament. Therefore, before class, every young wizard was very excited, very excited.
“I’ll tell you, riding a broomstick is really easy,” Seamus said to Zhang Dong, Harry, and the others, holding his broom.
I don’t know if it was because of yesterday’s video, but he was quite confident today.
“I was flying around the wilderness on a broomstick when I was eight years old. The feeling of flying close to the ground was amazing.”
However, Ron looked indifferent to Seamus’s words.
“What’s that? I was chasing a glider on Charlie’s broomstick when I was seven years old!”
“Hehe.” Malfoy looked at them disdainfully: “Don’t brag. I was flying in the sky on a broomstick when I was six years old. I almost hit a Muggle helicopter! Fortunately, I have extraordinary talent. Otherwise, the helicopter would have crashed!”
Zhang Dong…
Damn, can you guys stop bragging? If I hadn’t read the novel, I would have almost believed you!
Especially you Malfoy! Almost crashed a helicopter! Who do you think you are? Superman or Thor?
But speaking of which…
Zhang Dong glanced at Harry beside him. This guy was indeed a flying prodigy. Although he might not remember it himself, Zhang Dong knew that this guy was able to fly around the house on a magic broomstick when he was one year old.
“Huff… huff…”
A heavy breathing sound came from his ear. Zhang Dong turned his head and saw that Miss Granger was trying hard to calm her nervous mood.
That’s right, it’s nervous, not excited.
Looking at Hermione like that, Zhang Dong also encouraged her: “Don’t be nervous. There’s nothing to be afraid of about flying.”
“Who… who’s afraid? I’m just adjusting… yes, I’m just adjusting my state.”
Proud Hermione would never allow herself to have anything to be afraid of.
In fact, Hermione is a top student, but she’s not the top student in every subject.
For example, Harry is the top student in Flying every year, Malfoy is the top student in Potions every year, Neville is the top student in Herbology every year.
It’s just that in other subjects, even if Hermione is not the top student, she is in the top three. But only Flying… it would be good enough if she could barely pass.
“Speaking of which, I haven’t drawn any flying talent yet. Harry has seen so many videos, why haven’t I gotten a single flying talent?”
Thinking about this, Zhang Dong, who was holding his broom, also started thinking about whether he should take some time to practice flying in the future. If he gets all A’s in other subjects, but fails Flying… that would be too embarrassing.
