Mu Yang's gaze fell upon Mew, seemingly without intention.
He could sense that Mew's aura was even stronger than Mewtwo's, but given Mew's personality, it wouldn't seriously engage in combat unless absolutely necessary.
“These Pokémon are so cute!
Mu Yang, wait, let's take some Pokémon with us?” Keqing lingered on Pikachu for a moment, charmed by the yellow rodent. She tugged at Mu Yang's shoulder and pleaded.
Mu Yang didn't refuse: “Pikachu isn't particularly rare in this world. With some effort, finding one shouldn't be too difficult.
We can bring some Pokémon with us later.
It's a shame, though, that a Pokémon as special as Mew can't leave."
As he spoke, Mu Yang petted Mew again, causing the creature to meow and protest. Enough already! One scratch is all it takes! Why are you going for a second one?
“Hehehe, it's just that you're too cute!" Mu Yang chuckled lightly, then slowly walked toward the nearby cloning machine. Even though Mewtwo had left, the machines here were still operational, churning out countless cloned Pokémon.
They wouldn't dare act without Mewtwo's orders.
…………………………………………………………
Five kilometers away from Mewtwo's castle, Mewtwo and Zhongli floated in midair, facing each other. Zhongli gazed at the distant Mewtwo and said in a deep voice, "Bring it on. Let me see your strength."
“Be careful." Mewtwo's mind focused, maximizing its aura. It created a purple energy shield around itself and charged towards Zhongli.
Just as Mewtwo was about to collide with Zhongli, a golden shield rose around him. Mewtwo crashed into the shield, releasing a terrifying burst of energy. Yet, Zhongli remained unmoved, floating in place.
It was the attacking Mewtwo that was sent flying back hundreds of meters.
Mewtwo stared at Zhongli in disbelief. This god from another world seemed even stronger than expected.
It took a deep breath, its hands outstretched, and condensed a five-meter-wide wave of energy, launching it towards Zhongli.
“Interesting!” Zhongli crossed his arms. A more robust shield arose around him, and he slammed directly into the massive wave of energy.
“Boom!" As the wave hit the shield, a violent explosion erupted, creating a mushroom cloud with Zhongli at its center.
Yet, Mewtwo felt no joy at the sight. Its expression was solemn as it watched Zhongli's location. Zhongli's figure emerged from the mushroom cloud and flew towards Mewtwo at incredible speed.
In the blink of an eye, Zhongli was in front of Mewtwo. Mewtwo hastily raised its arms to guard itself. Zhongli's fist slammed into Mewtwo's arms with immense force. Feeling the sheer power in his arms, Mewtwo felt like his arms were no longer his own.
“Your energy essence is good, but you don't know how to use your power! It's too dispersed!” As Zhongli's voice faded, he demonstrated in front of Mewtwo what it meant to be beaten with style.
Mewtwo could clearly sense that the opponent was using similar power and speed, yet it had no chance to fight back.
I'm a weakling!
At this moment, Mewtwo gradually began to understand its own limitations.
“Techniques are important. Your world must have a lot of traditional techniques. Those are good, but you can't be bound by tradition. You have to learn to be adaptable." Zhongli said as he pummeled Mewtwo, teaching him along the way: “I haven't fought with other gods in your world, but they must have a stronger grasp of their power than you.
That Mew gave me a sense of danger.
You have tremendous talent. I can sense that you're already making adjustments during battle, but it's not something that happens overnight.
If you don't fully control your power, you might lose to someone weaker than you in the future.”
True to its reputation as a creation of Team Rocket, Mewtwo, a being capable of surpassing Mew, possessed exceptional battle aptitude. Under Zhongli's guidance, Mewtwo's combat skills improved rapidly, even its psychic abilities were awakened through Zhongli's instruction and occasionally used in battle.
However, against Zhongli, its psychic abilities were ineffective.
“Thank you!” As the two separated, Mewtwo looked at Zhongli, his expression complex.
By now, if Mewtwo still couldn't recognize the vast difference between itself and Zhongli, it would be beyond hope.
Zhongli shook his head slightly: “You have a lot of potential. You may not be able to reach my level, but it's possible.
It might take a long time, so don't be discouraged. After all, I've been alive for over 6,000 years. I've experienced the Archon War and fought numerous Archons. I've basically been fighting since birth.
And you've only just been born recently.”
“Are there a lot of battles in your world?" Mewtwo's eyes lit up, and it gazed at Zhongli with intense curiosity.
“There haven't been any large-scale battles for almost five hundred years. However, a new round of wars will begin sooner or later. Even I might perish in those wars." Zhongli explained without concealing anything.
“Can I go to your world?” After some hesitation, Mewtwo spoke, "When I was created, those humans told me that I was a clone of Mew, the strongest Pokémon. They wanted to use my power to rule the world.
I saw their ambition, their cruelty towards Pokémon. I don't know if I can even be considered a Pokémon.
I destroyed their base and escaped.
But I know they will continue to search for me. I wanted to create an army of Pokémon to fight them.
But if I can leave this world with you, it might be better.
And I want to see what a world without Pokémon is like."
Listening to Mewtwo's account, Zhongli's expression was also filled with complexity: "If you want to leave with me, I welcome it. However, I can't guarantee that we can return to this world. I hope you understand."
Mewtwo was stunned for a moment, but then it quickly recovered. How could crossing worlds be an easy feat? But towards this world, Mewtwo had little attachment.
“I still want to leave with you. And I want to learn to fight from you.”
