A gift from an angel.
Kaeya pushed open the door of the tavern and heard a chorus of voices:
“Barbatos, come drink, drink, drink! This one’s on me!”
“Barbatos, one more, this one’s on me! I’ll pay, I’ll pay!”
“Barbatos, you truly are our Mondstadt Anemo Archon. I believe in you one hundred and ten percent.”
“I always felt you had an air of grandeur about you.”
“Generous, grand, deep emotions, bottoms up!”
The entire tavern was filled with a joyous atmosphere.
Kaeya smiled, “I knew I’d find him here.”
He walked over to the bar and sat down. Rosaria was sitting next to him. “No choir practice today?”
Rosaria took a sip of her drink, “I told the nuns that Barbatos invited me out for a drink. They couldn’t say no.”
Kaeya, “You found a good excuse, huh? Oh, look who it is, it’s Diluc!”
Diluc brought out more bottles of wine, “Hmph, say another word and I’ll throw you out of here.”
“Aw, it’s not often you get such a cute nickname. How much has he had?”
“A lot, he can really drink. You can’t expect the Anemo Archon to fight a Stormterror after downing forty or fifty bottles, can you?”
Kaeya waved his hand, “Don’t worry about it. I’m here to drink as well. We still need another key player to fight Stormterror, right? Amber is already heading towards Starfell Lake.”
Meaning the Traveler.
Kaeya ordered two drinks, the other one for Rosaria.
“I’ll treat you to this one, Barbatos. I won that 150,000.”
“You won a reward from the livestream?”
“Me too.”
“Nice.”
“We’re making a fortune in Mondstadt.”
“Captain Kaeya is here!”
“Captain Kaeya, cheers, cheers, cheers! Good luck on the next livestream.”
“It looks like Rosaria is an agent too.”
Kaeya, “Don’t drag me into it. I’m so unlucky, I’ll probably be last place and get punished along with everyone else.”
“Hahaha, it’s okay. We believe in Captain Kaeya.”
The bartender, Charles, brought over the drinks, “Master Diluc, they seem a bit too close for comfort.”
After learning that Venti was the Anemo Archon, Charles had become respectful towards him.
Diluc wiped a wine glass, “It’s fine. I haven’t heard of any other god in any other nation being so close to their people.”
“You’re right. It’s very Mondstadt-like.”
Over at the Cat’s Tail, they were having a similar discussion.
Diona, “Coffin-board party? It was that lively last night?”
“You have no idea how lively it was, little Diona.”
“Little Diona, another drink for me.”
Diona, “Hmph, I’ll whip you up a super-duper nasty Fusion Drink.”
Noelle was walking down the street, cheered on by the crowd because she was also an agent.
“Noelle will do her best!”
Fischl was at the Adventurers’ Guild, chatting with other adventurers.
“Little Amy, time for lunch at home!”
Due to Mondstadt’s agents winning, even though Stormterror caused some trouble, the overall atmosphere had improved.
And over the past few days, Acting Grand Master Jean had been more assertive in her diplomacy.
It seemed like she had taken some of the comments and suggestions from the chat and the people to heart.
The scene switched to Inazuma.
At the Kamisato Estate, Kamisato Ayaka stood with one hand on her hip, “Brother, you’re out again so late. Sigh, if someone sees this, they’ll say...there’s no place for you in this family.”
“Ahahaha.”
“Hahaha.”
Everyone at the Kamisato Estate burst into laughter.
Thoma, “Even when Miss Kamisato learns, she does it in her own way. Her tone doesn’t quite sound right.”
Kamisato Ayaka, “What kind of mess did I make in another timeline that my brother would get so angry with me?”
Kamisato Ayato, “I’d like to see that.”
At Kajiuchi Beach.
Countless Inazumans were still doing the frog jump.
Even agents were going to be punished. Yoimiya encouraged everyone, “Come on, everyone, we’re almost done with today’s tasks. Keep up!”
“My legs are about to fall off. It’s only day two.”
“Yoimiya has finished jumping and she’s here to cheer us on.”
The elderly and children watching nearby cheered on their family members.
The city-wide punishment did not apply to those over sixty and under ten.
Yoimiya, “Come on, everyone! I’ll go get you some water. If you’re tired, take a break. Don’t push yourselves too hard.”
“Yoimiya is so kind.”
“If it weren’t for Yoimiya, those fools would probably get extra punishments.”
“It’s only day two.”
Kujou Sara and the Tenryou Commission walked over to maintain order.
Kujou Sara had finished her punishment at dawn, and the Tenryou Commission was required to finish in the morning.
Kujou Sara said it was a test of their daily training.
For those who were less physically fit, Kujou Sara seemed stern on the surface, but when they finished their punishment, she arranged for them to go back and rest.
This was why Kujou Sara seemed strict, but the Tenryou Commission respected her.
“A huge chunk of Inazuma City is paralyzed.”
“At least during these few days of punishment, those with low stamina are going to have a headache.”
“Many stores are temporarily closed.”
“It’s too bad.”
“Who told us to be second to last.”
“I’m going to die!”
Yoimiya, “Come on, come on, just a few more days and it’ll be over. Think of it as exercise.”
This frog jump was not for humans.
At the entrance to Inazuma City, Yae Miko walked in.
“Isn’t that Yae Miko?”
Yoimiya, “What’s Yae Miko doing here?”
Yae Miko laughed mischievously, “I’m here to see if our Shogun is doing the frog jump too!”
