Chapter 35: Pirates—Future Manga

Everyone was reluctant to part ways, but under Roger's leadership, they eventually accepted this reality.

However, Douglas Barrett wasn't so accepting.

As some stayed in the New World, some prepared to return to the first half of the Grand Line, and some even planned to return to the four seas, Rayleigh suddenly remembered something.

Under everyone's gaze, he returned to the ship and brought back something.

Everyone fell silent when Rayleigh placed the object on the ground.

There were some papers on the ground, with drawings on them.

One black-and-white drawing was somewhat abstract, but the raised Eternal Pointer and the black shadow clearly depicted what happened to them on the final island.

A wall, a row of iron bars, an unknown location. Roger and Garp faced each other, Roger smiling, Garp filled with anger.

One drawing showed Roger and Whitebeard Newgate sitting cross-legged together drinking in a place where cherry blossoms were falling.

This scene had happened just recently.

A grown-up Shanks and an unfamiliar person were inviting someone else to sit with them.

A grown-up Buggy was having a feast with a group of people who looked like they were from a circus.

A battleground-like setting. A grown-up Buggy, wearing prison clothes, was grabbing the clothes of a grown-up Shanks, looking like he was about to fight him.

Roger was alone in a small boat, rowing towards an island.

Shanks and Buggy were crying, heads in each other's arms, in the pouring rain.

Barrett stood at the peak of a ruined coastline, facing several Navy warships approaching.

A grown-up Shanks, now with one arm, was clashing swords with Whitebeard.

In front of the Navy headquarters, Shiki the Golden Lion stood atop a mountain of Navy corpses, looking at Sengoku and Garp who were ready to fight.

A young man with the Whitebeard Pirates' symbol on his back had his abdomen pierced by the current Navy Vice Admiral, Akainu.

A black shadow, clearly that of Roger's laughter, sat cross-legged on a high platform, with two unfamiliar shadows behind him, each holding two execution blades, which seemed to have crossed through Roger's body.

Without any sequence numbers, aside from the already-happened ones and those clearly depicting Shanks and Buggy's growth, everyone was unsure of the order in which the other drawings took place.

Although they had a glimpse of the future, they still had some general guesses.

The drawing of Roger's execution shadow should correspond to the one of Shanks and Buggy crying.

They were surprised to learn about Roger's execution.

However, among all the future drawings of Roger's crew, who was that kid who was pierced from behind by the magma fruit user?

But after seeing that the kid seemed to be giving a straw hat to someone who had a familiar straw hat on their back, everyone focused on Luffy.

After the future Marineford War occurred, when Sengoku announced Ace's real identity, all of Roger's crew remembered the drawing of the kid being pierced in the chest by Akainu from behind.

But it was too late then.

Meanwhile, after traveling for several days, Huang Ke Yin finally found Kaido's current base.

After a fierce battle, Kaido sustained several injuries.

Sitting on his throne, Kaido silently looked at the newspaper he had recently asked someone to deliver to him.

The newspaper reported that a girl under eighteen years old had injured Charlotte Linlin.

Initially, Kaido thought it was just an exaggeration, a gimmick used to deceive people.

But a few days later, the girl from the newspaper came to him.

After landing on the island, the girl called Jack a "ship king," then cut off one of Jack's tusks, saying it was worth five hundred million berries.

Then, Quinn, who hadn't yet undergone his transformation, was killed with one blow.

After receiving information, King, who had transformed into a toothless dragon, flew towards her.

But she countered King's attack with a familiar "Shinkage," chopping him off and temporarily rendering him incapacitated.

When Kaido arrived, she had stabbed Jack's tusk into the ground, using it as a chair, and was waiting for him, looking bored.

As soon as they met, she demanded two pounds of his flesh, promising to leave after getting it.

Would Kaido back down?

So, he launched a Thunderclap Bagua attack.

He was then completely defeated, slashed several times, and had a chunk of flesh taken from him as she stepped on his dragon form's head.

Before leaving, the girl said a strange sentence.

"If you kill that kid in the future, I won't beat you anymore. If you let him escape, I'll beat you every three months!"

Kaido's strength was indeed great, but he wasn't among the top tier. So, she easily settled the score.

After seeing reports about her origins in the newspaper, Kaido attributed this to Roger's crew.

But then, he heard that Roger became the Pirate King and his crew disbanded shortly after.

This made him gnash his teeth in anger.

Besides Kaido, Huang Ke Yin also visited the Whitebeard Pirates.

After fighting Whitebeard and obtaining blood samples from others, the wanted posters for Huang Ke Yin came out alongside Roger's crew's posters.
