Chapter 28
A Chance Encounter

Yang Yu looked at Qian Song Yi with a playful expression.

“Not bad, nice figure, long legs, and a perky butt, but too bad the chest is a bit small, though I like it.”

Yang Yu commented on Qian Song Yi's figure.

“Hey!! How did you suddenly appear in front of me?”

Qian Song Yi persistently questioned Yang Yu about his sudden appearance.

He popped up right in front of her in the blink of an eye; thankfully it was daytime, or she would have thought she encountered a ghost at midnight.

“Do you really want to know?”

Qian Song Yi nodded and rolled her eyes: “Of course, why would I ask if I didn't want to know?”

She looked at Yang Yu as if he were an idiot.

What the hell!! She actually looked down on him, this silly girl.

“Come closer, I'll tell you.”

Upon hearing this, Qian Song Yi obediently leaned in.

“I’m not human!!”

After saying that, he blew a puff of warm air into her ear and even licked her delicate earlobe.

Qian Song Yi thought Yang Yu was deliberately trying to tease her and didn’t take his words seriously at all.

“If you’re not going to say it, then don’t. I don’t want to hear it anyway.”

She pretended to be angry and slapped Yang Yu a few times.

Yang Yu still decided to tell her the truth; after all, she had a strong capacity for acceptance.

If she could accept aliens, what else could she not accept?

“I’m serious, I really am not human. If you don’t believe me, I can show you.”

Qian Song Yi was unwilling to believe him.

“Even though people online say I lack common sense, I’m not an idiot. Are you a ghost in broad daylight?”

“Have you heard of zombies?”

Yang Yu looked at Qian Song Yi and said.

“Of course, I know. Those jumping zombies from Hong Kong movies in the 1980s.”

“That’s me.”

“I’m also a Taoist, the kind that specializes in catching zombies.”

As he spoke, he gestured a few times.

Yang Yu.......

Honestly, no one believed him. If she didn’t believe him, he couldn’t be bothered to explain to this silly girl anymore.

“I give up, just pretend I never said anything.”

Qian Song Yi immediately became smug and proud.

“You think saying that will scare me? Hmph! You really underestimate me.”

Yang Yu didn’t want to continue the conversation on that topic and quickly changed the subject.

“Did Li Huijing call you? Did he get what I asked him to pick up?”

“I don’t know, my phone has been off.”

Qian Song Yi shook her head.

“Aren’t you worried about your own matters at all?”

Yang Yu asked curiously.

“Didn’t you say you would help me solve it? I trust you, so I’m not worried.”

Hearing Qian Song Yi’s words, Yang Yu felt embarrassed; it was a miracle she hadn’t been lured away by someone with a lollipop since she was little.

He spent the whole afternoon being lovey-dovey with Qian Song Yi.

Their relationship progressed rapidly, and Yang Yu felt he could win her over at any moment.

But he had something to do that night and was afraid of running out of time, so he forced himself to hold back.

With an hour left until the agreed time with Yin Canrong, Yang Yu wandered aimlessly by himself. He was afraid that if he didn’t leave, he wouldn’t be able to resist eating Qian Song Yi.

A girl sitting on a bench by the roadside caught his eye, Bae Suzy? No, she should be called Go Hae Mi.

She was a student taught by Do Min Joon, who only appeared for two minutes in the original plot.

Yang Yu walked over and sat directly next to her.

“I passed by here and was suddenly drawn to you. Can we get to know each other?”

Yang Yu straightforwardly struck up a conversation.

Go Hae Mi glanced at the handsome guy who suddenly sat beside her and tried to chat her up. If it were in the past, she might have chatted with him for a bit.

But now, she had no mood for it at all.

A couple of days ago, she received a call from the hospital saying her mother had a sudden heart attack and was sent to the hospital by a neighbor.

She hurriedly took leave to rush over, only to find out her mother needed surgery and it would cost a large sum of money.

She had always depended on her mother, and their family wasn’t wealthy. To support her college education, her mother worked two jobs every day.

Finally, she graduated from college and got a decent job, but just then her mother fell ill.

She couldn’t afford the medical expenses at all, and there was nowhere to borrow money from.

There was a department head in her company who often harassed her. Upon learning of her situation, he offered her a deal: if she became his mistress for a year, he would pay for her mother’s medical expenses.

If he were a handsome guy, it would be one thing, but that department head was old, ugly, and fat, just thinking about it made her feel disgusted.

But her mother’s illness couldn’t be delayed any longer. She had been sitting here for over two hours and still hadn’t made up her mind.

Seeing that Go Hae Mi was ignoring him, Yang Yu continued, “You look like you’re dealing with something troubling. Maybe I can help you solve it.”
