Yang Yu casually beckoned a few bodyguards and said, “Take care of the experts. If anything goes wrong, you'll be responsible.”
Turning to the experts, he said, “If the plan succeeds, money is no object. If it fails...hmph!”
Yang Yu let out a cold snort, the meaning clear.
The so-called experts were instantly terrified, breaking out in a cold sweat.
One of them, sweating profusely, said, “Consultant, a love consultant, not an expert.”
Yang Yu didn’t reply and turned to leave.
To Yang Yu, consultants and experts were all the same. He only cared about the results, but he always felt this method was too old-fashioned.
After stepping outside, he hesitated for a moment before instructing the bodyguards, “Did you all hear what I said? Find some local strangers, have them rough me up a bit, but don’t let Lin Jia get hurt. Understand?”
Actually, Yang Yu was quite afraid of pain, but to win Lin Jia’s affection, he had to bite the bullet and give it a try.
One of the bodyguards, noticing Yang Yu’s hesitation, offered a suggestion, “Actually, Mr. Yang, you don’t have to actually get hurt. Just get some props, make it look bad, and then have the doctor say it’s serious.”
Yang Yu’s eyes lit up. “Not bad, you’re good. You handle this, do it your way. But make sure Lin Jia doesn’t see through it.”
The bodyguard, delighted with Yang Yu’s praise, grinned and went off to make the arrangements.
That evening, Yang Yu invited Lin Jia out for dinner. As expected, she declined, claiming she was too tired and had no appetite.
Yang Yu knew that Lin Jia liked to take walks in the coconut grove every night, so he made his arrangements, ensuring that all the other people in the area were cleared out beforehand.
That night, Lin Jia went for a walk in the coconut grove alone, occasionally snapping a beautiful selfie.
Two ruffians approached her, spouting gibberish that Lin Jia couldn’t understand.
Although she couldn’t understand what they were saying, Lin Jia knew she had encountered trouble, so she turned and ran.
In her panic, she tripped over a stone and fell. The two thugs blocked her way, one in front and one behind, their leering smiles slowly approaching her. Lin Jia, sitting on the ground, yelled, “Don’t come closer! Help!” Her face was pale with fear.
Yang Yu had been watching from the shadows, and when he saw his chance, he charged out, dispatching the two thugs with a few swift moves.
He then pretended to be concerned as he helped the fallen Lin Jia to her feet, “Luckily I couldn’t bear to let you walk alone, so I followed you. Otherwise, you would have been in danger.”
Lin Jia, shaken by the ordeal, threw her arms around Yang Yu and burst into tears.
Yang Yu comforted Lin Jia gently, while waving towards the woods.
Lin Jia cried for a while, then felt uncomfortable being held so tightly by Yang Yu and was about to get up when Yang Yu forcefully pulled her back behind him.
Lin Jia looked up, confused, and saw that they were surrounded by seven or eight thugs armed with knives and clubs.
Yang Yu backed away, shielding Lin Jia with his body, and whispered in her ear, “When I say 1, 2, 3, I’ll fight them. You run to the hotel and get my bodyguards.”
Lin Jia gripped Yang Yu’s clothes tightly and shook her head, crying, “I’m not leaving, we’ll go together.”
Yang Yu said sternly, “If you don’t go, neither of us will make it. Be good, you have to listen to me this time.”
Lin Jia nodded, tears streaming down her face. After Yang Yu counted 1, 2, 3, he charged forward. Lin Jia used all her strength to run towards the hotel.
As she ran, she glanced back and saw that, while Yang Yu fought bravely, he was outnumbered and his arm was already injured, bleeding profusely.
Lin Jia wiped away her tears and ran towards the hotel.
Seeing Lin Jia run away, Yang Yu quickly called a halt.
He cursed, “You guys hit too hard, I’m in agony.”
Then he waved, and two makeup artists rushed out, carrying their makeup kits. They quickly made Yang Yu look disfigured and miserable.
Yang Yu checked his watch, nodded, and waved them away. Then, he pretended to be unconscious on the ground.
When Lin Jia returned with the others, she saw Yang Yu lying on the ground, covered in blood, and immediately rushed to his side, sobbing uncontrollably.
She murmured, “Don’t die, please get up, I’ll do anything if you get up.”
Yang Yu nearly jumped up, but for the sake of his future happiness, he had to keep pretending.
Soon, an ambulance arrived.
Lin Jia waited anxiously outside the emergency room, her eyes already swollen from crying.
Inside the emergency room, Yang Yu was comfortably smoking a cigarette, saying, “Don’t bind me so tight, loosen it. What if my wounds heal without leaving scars? Do you think people are fools?”
One of the “love consultants” who was posing as a doctor said, “By the time she realizes, it’ll be too late. Once a woman truly loves you, she won’t care about these deceptions. Just confess later and say some sweet nothings, at most she’ll just be a bit angry.”
Yang Yu thought about it and realized it made sense.
He nodded, “Good. Everyone here gets a million each.” Yang Yu said generously.
Then he burst out laughing…
