The little incident that happened this morning was nothing at all. After entering the classroom, Zhu Wei Jiao laid her head on the desk, looking like she was ready to catch up on some sleep.
Luo Chuan didn't say anything after seeing this, because he was ultimately the culprit who caused all of this.
Luo Chuan himself was also having a rare day of relaxation. The finals against Huo Qi High School were scheduled for Friday of this week, which meant they were only two days away. After the basketball league ended, there was the math competition he had signed up for.
Thinking about this, Luo Chuan glanced at his system panel,
【Cooking LV2: 954/1000】
【Math LV2: 885/1000】
【Basketball LV2: 821/1000】
These three skills were currently the closest to reaching LV3 among all of Luo Chuan's skills. Cooking, naturally, had been racking up tens of points of experience every day since the system was obtained. Luo Chuan would cook meals every day.
Mathematics, on the other hand, was the result of him frantically grinding experience points. Although it had been delayed a little due to the basketball competition, the progress was undeniable. Reaching LV3 before the competition was effortless.
To be honest, Luo Chuan's current mathematical knowledge was more than enough to handle the high school competition. But it wasn't about the competition anymore; it was about the fact that he had invested so much time and effort into it and couldn't bear to give up on the rewards of reaching LV3 in Mathematics, even though the experience points were becoming increasingly harder to acquire.
As for why his basketball level was rising so quickly, it was simply because basketball was a simple game once you mastered the skills and rules. Luo Chuan didn't lack the physical attributes needed to excel in the sport either.
Therefore, he earned a massive amount of experience points during each game of the recent basketball league.
The rest of his skills were also improving, but they were still quite far from reaching LV3, so Luo Chuan wouldn't go into further detail.
The school bell rang, signaling the end of class. Luo Chuan closed his competition materials and stretched out his limbs with a huge yawn.
【Math +37】
"Jiao Jiao, let's go."
Luo Chuan got up to pack his desk, and at the same time, he called out to Zhu Wei Jiao.
Zhu Wei Jiao didn't hesitate and quickly stuffed her textbooks into the drawer. She only took out the physics textbook she needed for her evening tutoring session and followed behind Luo Chuan out of the classroom.
Tu Jun, who had originally planned to leave with them, watched their backs and scratched his head involuntarily,
"Big Mouth, Mimi, do you guys feel like Chuan and Jiao Jiao are getting closer? I feel like Jiao Jiao doesn't talk to me much lately."
"No, haven't they always been like this?" Mimi replied in a daze.
Tu Jun looked at Ding Rong Liang speechless and then turned to Luo Shen Xi,
"Big Mouth, what do you think?"
"I feel the same way," Luo Shen Xi shrugged.
"Jiao Jiao eats at Luo Chuan's place every day, and then she goes there for tutoring every night. It's only natural that they'd get closer."
"Besides, aren't we all the same? Don't you think we're getting closer too?"
Tu Jun thought about it for a moment, then finally realized,
"You're right."
"Let's go home for dinner."
Upon returning home, Zhu Wei Jiao and Luo Chuan continued their usual routine: one washed the vegetables while the other chopped and stir-fried them. Just as Luo Chuan was halfway through chopping, his phone rang.
Without a doubt, Luo Chuan knew who was calling.
Zhu Wei Jiao saw the name on the phone and instantly pouted.
Luo Chuan chuckled. He didn't try to hide it from Zhu Wei Jiao and answered the call directly,
"Hello, An Ran."
"Luo Chuan, are you out of school? What are you doing now?"
"Getting ready to cook," Luo Chuan replied softly.
"You can cook?" Li An Ran sounded surprised.
"It's nothing special. I'd say my cooking skills are pretty good," Luo Chuan said modestly.
"I have to try your cooking sometime."
"Okay," Luo Chuan agreed without hesitation.
Just then, Zhu Wei Jiao turned on the faucet beside him and started washing the vegetables, the sound of water rushing through the tap filling the air.
Li An Ran, on the other end of the phone, seemed to sense something and became alert. She probed cautiously,
"Are you alone?"
Could Luo Chuan possibly hide Li An Ran's little schemes from him? He chuckled and replied,
"Of course not. Jiao Jiao's here, the girl who was behind me when we first met."
Upon hearing this, Li An Ran instantly recalled the girl. She remembered that Zhu Wei Jiao had even shown hostility toward her at the time. Now, her feminine intuition told her that Zhu Wei Jiao definitely liked Luo Chuan.
"Why is she at your house?" Li An Ran asked, a bit annoyed.
"Jiao Jiao's parents have been very busy lately, so she's been eating dinner at my place. I'll tell you the whole story when you have time," Luo Chuan said calmly.
Hearing Luo Chuan's voice, Li An Ran's anxious heart finally relaxed. It seemed that nothing was going on between them, but she still needed to do some on-site investigation,
"Hmph, I've decided that we're not going to the city this weekend."
"Then where are we going?"
"I'm going to your house, to eat the food you make," Li An Ran said resolutely.
"Okay," Luo Chuan nodded,
"But don't get your hopes up. We don't have anything as flashy as the city here."
Li An Ran retorted, did she seem like a person who judged people based on their wealth?
Okay, Luo Chuan just shut up.
Knowing that Luo Chuan hadn't eaten yet, Li An Ran didn't linger on the call. They chatted for a few minutes before hanging up.
After putting down his phone, Luo Chuan saw Jiao Jiao's lips pouting so much they could hang a soy sauce bottle. He chuckled, leaned over, and kissed her directly.
"Ugh, are you going to eat or not?"
Zhu Wei Jiao pushed Luo Chuan away with a look of disdain, but the blush on her face and the corners of her mouth that were even harder to suppress than an AK betrayed her true feelings.
But the more this happened, the more Luo Chuan felt like he owed Zhu Wei Jiao.
"Jiao Jiao," Luo Chuan gently hugged Zhu Wei Jiao and said softly,
"We'll never be apart, right?"
Zhu Wei Jiao leaned against Luo Chuan's chest and said,
"I told you, I have to be responsible for you."
"That's right, you have to be responsible for me," Luo Chuan nodded heavily.
During dinner, Luo Chuan forcefully pulled Jiao Jiao into his arms. Jiao Jiao sat on Luo Chuan's lap, shyly eating the food he picked up for her.
The cloying affection between them... well, even a dog would find it disgusting, but the two involved thought it was perfect.
