Chapter 4
Honkai Impact 3rd

Mo Li briefly explained the gameplay and worldbuilding of Honkai Impact 3rd.

“I came with sincerity. I really want to make this game seriously.”

Everyone looked at each other in bewilderment.

After exchanging glances, Brolyaria and Yelan Deir looked at Mo Li earnestly. “Mr. Mo Li, could you give us a few minutes to discuss?”

Mo Li smiled faintly. “Sure, I have plenty of time.”

As he spoke, Mo Li stood up and walked out of the room.

“Big Sis, what do you think?”

Yelan Deir thought for a moment and then turned to Rita. “Rita, what do you think?”

Rita: “Jizi, what do you think?”

“I think… this man named Mo Li is not bad~.”

Everyone: “…”

Seeing this, Jizi chuckled. “Didn’t he say it himself? He wants to seriously make a good game, which aligns with our initial intention.”

“And our studio’s current situation isn’t optimistic… so, if he acquires us, I wouldn’t mind~.”

Rita immediately added, “But we need to add a clause. The IP rights of Saving the Maiden must be under Yelan Deir’s personal name.”

“That way, if we ever want to leave this place, we can still take our own work with us.”

Saving the Maiden was a game that everyone had poured a lot of effort into, so they had deep affection for it.

They were also planning a sequel… though they only had some initial ideas for now.

Furthermore, this was their first time meeting Mo Li, and they still couldn’t completely trust him.

Brolyaria nodded. “That’s a good idea. If he agrees, I have no objections.”

“That way, we have no more worries.”

“Then let’s agree to it.”

Soon, everyone decided on a plan.

As for Saving the Maiden, Mo Li didn’t mind giving it away. If he gave them the game, the acquisition cost would be lower.

Besides, he wouldn’t have to worry about a game that loses money every month.

Furthermore, Mihoyo Studio didn’t have any other projects, making it seem like Mo Li was just buying the name Mihoyo Studio…

However, Mo Li didn’t pay much attention to it. It didn’t cost much anyway, and it was the newbie funds the system had given him.

The name Mihoyo sounded good, and he wouldn’t have to bother recruiting new employees if he started his own studio.

Soon, everyone finalized the details.

The next day, Mihoyo Studio was transferred to Mo Li’s name.

And Yelan Deir and her team didn’t leave the studio.

Now they were Mo Li’s employees.

Today was the new boss’s first meeting, and the topic was about the studio’s new game.

Everyone was a little nervous.

“You’re all quite early~.” Mo Li walked into the office, glanced at the group of girls sitting there, and nodded in satisfaction.

“I’m very happy that none of you left the studio. After the game is released, you’ll be considered core members. I’ll definitely be generous and give you all a share of the profits.”

Everyone remained emotionless in the face of such a vague promise.

Instead, Jizi covered her mouth and chuckled, teasingly saying, “Boss~ are you so confident that this game will make money?”

Mo Li also nodded with a smile. “Of course. If I myself have no faith in the game, how could players enjoy it and pay for it?”

“Alright, I won’t bore you with any more nonsense.”

Mo Li took out his laptop, opened the documents he had organized last night.

He began to explain everything to them, starting with the background story of Honkai Impact 3rd.

Unlike yesterday, when these girls weren’t technically his people yet, and there were no confidentiality agreements, Mo Li only briefly mentioned his ideas.

But today was different. He almost entirely revealed the main story, core gameplay, and key selling points of Honkai Impact 3rd.

“Games… can be made like this??”

“Amazing!”

“It’s amazing, but… how do you do it?”

Although the girls had made a game, compared to Honkai Impact 3rd, mobile games on the market were far behind.

It was like using a 3090 graphics card to play Contra.

“Is this surprising?” Mo Li chuckled. “You haven’t even seen the actual content yet.”

As he spoke, Mo Li clicked on an icon on the computer.

It was a cute girl with winking eyes and a smile, white hair, and blue eyes. Beneath the icon was a small line of text – Honkai Impact 3rd.

Seeing this, everyone couldn’t help but ask themselves a big question mark.

Then, a large Mihoyo logo appeared on the computer screen.

“This…”

Mo Li smiled. “The game is already finished. You can try it out.”

As he spoke, Mo Li pushed the computer towards the girls and casually chose a spot for himself, pouring a cup of coffee.

In the following time, the room was filled with exclamations.

“Amazing!! The graphics are so beautiful!!”

“This character is called Bronya??”

“It’s true! Not only is the name the same, but the appearance is also exactly like Bronya when she was young.”

“Personality! Voice is also very similar!”

“Also, isn’t this Yelan Deir’s little sister, Kiana?”

“Jizi is there too! And Fu Hua! Mei!?”

After seeing the characters one by one in the game, everyone finally turned their attention to Mo Li.

There was a mixture of vigilance and curiosity in the girls’ eyes.

“Ahem…” Mo Li cleared his throat. “If I say this is just a coincidence, would you believe me?”

Of course, everyone wouldn’t believe it.

Seeing this, Mo Li didn’t know how to explain. “I’m not lying to you. I met you for the first time yesterday.”

Everyone: “…”

“Okay, if you don’t believe me, forget it. Let’s talk about the game first. How do you feel after trying it out?”

After changing the topic, everyone excitedly said, “It’s really amazing. Whether it’s the hit feeling or the graphics… I’ve never seen such a good game!”

It wasn’t that the graphics were particularly amazing, but the impact that this 3D anime rendering had on these otaku girls was simply too great.

“This is just the test version. You haven’t experienced the plot yet. There are many more things to surprise you when the game is officially released~.”

After hearing Mo Li’s words, Brolyaria became even more surprised. “This isn’t even the full game?!”

Mo Li calmly took a sip of coffee. “Of course it’s not that simple. Next, I’ll assign tasks to everyone.”

“I’ve already finished the entire game. From now on, you just need to be responsible for the operations tasks.”

“I’m not familiar with all of you yet, so Yelan Deir will take on the role of operations director and assign tasks to everyone.”

“Oh, right. You guys will still need to do the voice acting for the game.”

“Bronya, help me with the server and client.”
