Chapter 37
Cerberus, Lu Wei, and Vien's Magic Show

In the silent corridor, four people tiptoed up the stairs.

At every corner, Fred would peek his head out first to see if Madam Malkin was around, then let the other three follow.

As they passed each location, the system would promptly issue a prompt and award points to Wayne.

However, these rewards were only one-time, and only available for the first time they reached the location during their night tour.

By the fourth floor, the group could already smell the stench of dung bombs.

Wayne covered his nose in disgust, “Couldn’t you choose a method that’s not so mutually destructive?”

“It’s the simplest and most effective,” said Fred as he walked, “Filch is a neat freak. If he can’t catch anyone, he’ll definitely clean up the dung bombs first before coming back, giving us more time.”

Cedric was impressed, “You’re really experienced.”

It seemed that he still had a lot to learn about this night tour business.

Don’t think that Hufflepuff only produces good kids. The troublemakers in this year are all pretty much the same, but the environment and upbringing influence a person.

That’s why Hufflepuff students seem to be much more well-behaved than those from other houses.

They quickly reached their destination, the end of the fourth-floor corridor.

“Originally, there should have been another section of corridor here, but it became a door from this term onwards.”

Cedric said, and the twins nodded in agreement. They were both extremely familiar with the main areas of the castle.

“Are you sure you want to go in? What if there’s danger as Dumbledore said?” The honest one swallowed.

At his cowardice, Fred scoffed, “What’s there to be afraid of? This is the school. Could it be that the Headmaster’s going to bring a giant to catch us?”

As he was about to twist the doorknob, he found it was locked.

“Alohomora.”

Though his mouth said no, his body was honest.

Cedric moved faster than anyone else, taking out his wand first and using the unlocking spell.

“What do you think is inside?”

“I don’t know, but there must be something valuable, a powerful spell, a treasure map? Anything is possible... Woah!”

Fred instantly gasped. He didn’t finish his sentence, because he had already seen what was inside.

He also understood why Dumbledore had warned them so strictly.

After the door opened, instead of a room, there was still a corridor.

A dog sat there, its six eyes fixed on them.

If purely based on numbers, eight against six, Wayne and the others were at an advantage.

But this dog was too big, filling all the space from the ceiling to the floor. It had three heads, all with vicious expressions, and drool dripped from their mouths, a foul stench hitting their noses.

“Merlin’s woolly socks… Is that a three-headed dog?” Cedric groaned.

If there was a fence or other barrier between him and the three-headed dog, he’d be absolutely delighted. After all, it was rare to see a three-headed dog in the British Isles.

They usually roamed the Greek region.

But right now, Cedric could even feel the hot, stinking breath on his face.

Just one step away from a direct encounter.

How could he possibly be happy?

George turned decisively to open the door he had just closed, but the three-headed dog was quicker, barking and thrusting its head forward.

George was startled and actually broke the doorknob!

“Protego!”

An invisible wall stood between the four and the three-headed dog, causing the dog’s head to receive a heavy blow. It let out a howl and retreated several feet.

But this little damage had no significant effect on the thick-skinned three-headed dog. It just shook its head and returned to normal.

“What are you standing there for?” Wayne shouted, “Hurry and fix the door lock, run!”

“Oh, oh!”

The other three finally woke up and scrambled to put the handle back and cast the repair spell.

But because they were too nervous, they failed several times.

Wayne didn't bother with them. He’d been learning magic for so long, and he came here today just to find a suitable target to practice on.

“Stupefy!”

“Reparo!”

“Diffindo!”

Multicolored rays shot out from Wayne’s wand, hitting the three-headed dog. The space was too small, giving the big creature no room to dodge.

Bang!

A stunning spell hit the left dog head, directly knocking it unconscious.

The twins were stunned, Cedric even fixed the doorknob without saying anything. They stared blankly at Wayne beating up the dog head.

They knew most of the spells inside, but the effects they used were okay against people, but used against a three-headed dog with both physical and magical defenses, it was probably like tickling.

Wayne was too insane!

Cedric, with his sharp eyes, saw a trapdoor on the floor in the space left by the retreating three-headed dog.

What was inside?

Though curious, now was not the time for exploration and decryption. Cedric hurriedly pulled open the door.

“Wayne, run! Filch will be here soon!”

“Is that it?”

Now it was Wayne who was somewhat unsatisfied.

But seeing the three already waiting outside for him, he used a Severing Spell, leaving deep scratches on the floor as a warning to the three-headed dog, and then he ran out.

The door closed, the beast’s roar disappeared, and the four finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Then, they looked at Wayne with a look of disbelief.

Feeling a little uneasy under their gaze, Wayne couldn't help but hug his arms.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

George looked at the young man, “Are you an old monster who turned into a child to come back to Hogwarts and relive your childhood?”

Wayne was speechless, “Your imagination is on par with Rita Skeeter.”

“That reporter from the Daily Prophet? Mum said she’s a clown, she even called Dumbledore a crazy old man.”

“I just worked harder than you, and I have a little bit more talent.” Wayne gestured with a finger-sized universe.

“Alright, we went through the corridor, we each go back to our dorms.”

“What’s the rush?” Fred shook his head. “I just got scared, I need to eat some sweets to recover.”

“I’ll go get Lee, and we’ll have some snacks before we go back.”
