Chapter 20
The Newborn Cried in Fright, McGonagall Was Furious

“I’m preparing for the upcoming trials!”

The single sentence grabbed everyone’s attention.

The young witches and wizards were already nervous about the upcoming Sorting Ceremony, filled with fear of the unknown.

Seeing Wien’s performance, did he know more about the Sorting Ceremony?

“Hey, do you know the content of the Sorting Ceremony test?”

A domineering voice came, spoken by a boy with platinum blonde hair, flanked by two hulking boys who were bigger than any other ordinary young wizard.

The young wizard was good looking, but his expression was extremely annoying, giving a feeling of being unpleasant.

Wien’s fists clenched tightly. Having been a ‘school bully’ for four years in elementary school, no one had dared to speak to him like this for a long time.

But remembering his plan, he explained with a calm expression:

“I know, Cedric and a pair of twins just told me about the Sorting process.”

Ron, standing next to Harry, exclaimed in a low voice.

“Twins? Couldn’t it be George and Fred!”

Wien also heard it, nodded, “You’re Ron Weasley, right? Your brother told me about you.”

Immediately, all the young witches and wizards crowded around, asking questions in a jumbled mess:

“What exactly is the Sorting Ceremony?”

“Will there be danger?”

“I haven’t mastered any spells, can I really enroll?”

Good, good, they all took the bait.

Wien was secretly delighted.

Did they really think he was just bored, cooperating with the twins and Cedric on the train?

On the one hand, Wien was indeed a bit bored, just treating it as a game, on the other hand, it was all for a bigger plan.

The hunt had begun!

Taking advantage of the fact that Professor McGonagall hadn’t returned yet, Wien quickly told them about the Sorting Ceremony the twins and him had discussed, and he even kindly helped to fill in some unreasonable parts.

As Wien spoke, the young witches and wizards surrounding him became increasingly pale, their legs weakened.

Even those from pureblood families were the same, Malfoy’s face had turned completely bloodless.

Although parents would always use the Sorting Ceremony to scare their children, to satisfy their own sense of evil.

But it wasn’t this detailed!

After listening to Wien, a group of young wizards felt as if they could feel the intensity of the Sorting Ceremony.

Ron muttered to himself, “It’s over, it’s over, I remember when I came back from summer vacation in first year, Fred and George were both limping.”

“It must be the injuries they received in the Sorting Ceremony that haven’t healed yet.”

In fact, this was just because the twins wanted to go to the Forbidden Forest again in secret at the last minute, and they were chased by Hagrid’s Fluffy and sprained their ankles.

No one responded to Ron at this moment, Harry had fallen into a deep depression.

What to do?

If he failed the test, would he have to go back to the cupboard under the stairs at the Dursleys’ house again?

After experiencing the magic world’s artifacts, he really didn’t want to go back.

Wien sighed casually at last, “If it’s too dangerous, I’m going to give up on the test and go back to my Harrow School.”

This also gave some of the young witches and wizards from Muggle families an idea.

If it really didn’t work out… we’ll just give up?

“You, you’re telling the truth, aren’t you?” Hermione was also terrified, hoping that Wien was lying to her.

“It wasn’t me who said it, it was Cedric, and Ron’s two brothers.” Wien corrected:

“You probably don’t know who Cedric is, he’s won the top spot in his year for two years in a row, he’s the model student parents talk about.”

Hermione was in despair, completely hopeless.

Creak!

The door to the room was pushed open, and Professor McGonagall walked in, taken aback.

What was going on?

Although the young witches and wizards in previous years were nervous, they wouldn’t be like this, would they?

This was no way to go to the Sorting Ceremony, anyone who didn’t know might think they were going to Louis XVI’s happy stage.

Before she could speak, a young witch ran up to her, asking with a sobbing voice:

“Professor McGonagall, can I choose to drop out of school?”

“What are you talking about?” McGonagall could hardly believe her ears.

What had she heard?

There was actually a young witch who wanted to drop out of Hogwarts?

“Me too!”

“Wuwuwu, Mom, where are you, I want to go home!”

Four more young witches said this, and McGonagall felt dizzy, her heart filled with even more fear.

Since Hogwarts was founded, there had been students who had been expelled, students who had transferred in midway, and even students who had been murdered.

But there had never been a student who wanted to drop out on their own.

But today she encountered it, and even five at once!

If this got out, what would the other magic schools think of Hogwarts?

One thing could be used to make fun of them for a hundred years!

“Why do you want to drop out, was someone bullying you on the train? Professor will stand up for you.”

McGonagall tried to make herself sound more kind, asking the young witches softly.

As the deputy headmistress of the school, she could not let such a shameful thing happen, she had to reassure these young witches.

They spoke one after another.

It was very scattered, and it took McGonagall half a day to figure out what they meant.

“So, you’re all trying to drop out of school because the Sorting Ceremony might be dangerous, and you don’t know any spells yourselves?”

All the young witches and wizards nodded vigorously.

Instantly, McGonagall’s face turned red, “Who’s been spreading these lies, saying that the Sorting Ceremony is dangerous, it’s a load of rubbish!”

Swish, swish, swish!

Suddenly, everyone’s eyes turned to Wien, who was standing in the middle.

McGonagall naturally noticed this, and angrily said, “Mr. Lawrence, are you the one who’s been scaring the other students?”

“Professor McGonagall, I’m not scaring them.” Wien pretended to be very innocent, even a little wronged, saying,

“I just wanted to tell everyone what to expect in the Sorting Ceremony so we can prepare in advance, what’s wrong with that?”

“Then you can’t just talk nonsense, you made up about the trolls, the ghouls.”

“If we weren’t about to have the Sorting, I would have deducted twenty points from your house!”

Wien was even more unhappy, “I didn’t make it up, my seniors told me.”

“Which seniors?” Professor McGonagall pressed.

Wien didn’t hesitate, “George Weasley, Fred Weasley, and Cedric Diggory.”

This time, Professor McGonagall was completely numb.

You two twins, you’re going to die!
