Chapter 15
Phoenix King!

“Chirp! Chirp chirp!”

The newly hatched creature, hearing its owner's call, chirped in anger, ignoring even its eggshell meal.

It stumbled out, pecking at Wayne's finger.

Being newly born, its attack was like a tickle.

Wayne scratched his head in confusion, wondering why it was so angry.

“No, there's no way a newly hatched Pokémon evolves into its final form. You should be called Pidgeotto.”

‘Pidgeotto’ stopped pecking his finger, its whole body trembling, then it pecked even faster.

Even the system was speechless, rarely taking the initiative to jump out.

【Host, this is Ho-Oh。】

“Damn!” A swear word slipped out, Wayne looked at the little creature in astonishment.

“This is Ho-Oh?”

Looking closer, it did have a bit of Ho-Oh's shadow, just without feathers, looking more like a Fearow.

The little guy proudly raised its head, as if saying, "You finally recognized my identity, Master."

It turned its head, facing its butt towards Wayne, and started to gnaw on the eggshell.

Looking at Ho-Oh eating with gusto, Wayne was also filled with joy.

This was Ho-Oh, the legendary Pokémon, possessing all kinds of magical abilities, even capable of reviving the dead.

Even if its combat power wasn't particularly strong, that was relative to other legendary Pokémon. Compared to ordinary Pokémon, even Pseudo-Legendaries, it was definitely not a weakling.

Compared to the Phoenix of this world, Ho-Oh would surely far surpass it.

These two gift packs from the system were truly full of sincerity, an SS-level template card that catapulted Wayne's talent to a historic level.

The other pet was Ho-Oh, a direct full house.

“System, how can I level up Ho-Oh?” Wayne asked.

【By absorbing food with energy. As time passes, Ho-Oh can grow on its own. Defeating other Pokémon can also gain battle experience, accelerating its level-up。】

Wayne nodded, the requirements were pretty simple.

Looking at the little creature, almost finished with the eggshell, Wayne smiled.

“I'll still call you Ho-Oh, the Phoenix King. Once I get to Hogwarts, I'll take you to the Forbidden Forest to level up, reaching your peak as soon as possible.”

Hearing its master's words, Ho-Oh chirped, its little wings flapping against its chest, as if making a promise.

....

In the days that followed, Wayne transformed into a dad, taking care of Ho-Oh at home.

He purchased a ton of pet food from the Magical Creature shop, letting Ho-Oh choose its favorite flavors. He also bought several bottles of Nargles' milk at a high price, which Ho-Oh also loved.

A week later, Hermione returned the book to Wayne.

When Wayne asked if she wanted to look at other books, Hermione refused.

She was going to start previewing the first-year textbooks, so she wouldn't fall behind in school.

Wayne was speechless, other people previewed the day before the class, who started preparing during the summer vacation?

Truly a Hogwarts grind king.

Back home, apart from playing with Ho-Oh, Wayne didn't learn any more spells.

Instead, he shifted his focus to Herbology and Potions.

To drain the wallets of young wizards, the most effective method was selling prank products or some interesting potions, like the twins.

Wayne needed to quickly improve his potions skills, develop unique products, open up new tracks, avoid homogenization and involution, and achieve a curve-ball overtake.

With his Memory Palace talent, his learning progress was astonishing. Occasionally, he even tried making potions himself, and never made any major mistakes.

But Wayne was still dissatisfied.

Compared to other talents, which were easily SS or S level, his A-level potion talent was indeed a bit low.

But there was no way, he was now penniless, only a few dozen points left, and couldn't even draw a lottery.

For a while, Wayne was eager to start school.

Finally, time arrived on August 31st.

Humphrey, after finishing work that night, went directly to Wayne's home. He was staying here today, and would send Wayne to King's Cross Station early tomorrow morning.

Looking at his sister's only son, Humphrey couldn't help but nag a bit:

“Be careful in the wizarding world. Based on the information I've gathered, they seem to have just finished a civil unrest ten years ago.”

“If you encounter any danger, you can directly contact the Minister of Magic, or even contact me. As long as it happens on the British Isles, I can handle it for you.”

At the end, Humphrey couldn't help but straighten his suit, a smile involuntarily spreading across his lips.

Wayne could tell what was going on and probed, “Uncle Humphrey, are you going to be...promoted?”

“Not sure yet.” Humphrey modestly waved his hand, but his smile gave him away.

“Sir Arnold has decided to retire. He thinks I've done a good job.”

Arnold, whom Wayne called the Great Demon, was also the most powerful man on the British Isles.

The Prime Minister of this country was just a politician pushed to the forefront, while the real chess players controlling power were those civil servants.

“Then I wish you congratulations in advance, Uncle.” Wayne raised his glass and finished the milk in it. Humphrey also finished his red wine, put down his glass and sighed, “Finally, I can get rid of that third-rate minister, Hack.”

Wayne looked at him meaningfully, “I think it's not a bad thing to give him a little push.”

“You mean...push Hack up?” Humphrey had an incredible expression:

“You're not joking, Wayne. He...He's just a third-rate politician who graduated from the School of Economics and Politics, how could he possibly.”

“Those are irrelevant. What matters is that you and Uncle Hack have worked together for three years, and you know each other well.”

“Instead of getting a new partner you're unfamiliar with, it's not bad to continue working together, right?”

Hearing this, Humphrey fell into contemplation.

As Wayne said, if Hack became Prime Minister, he wouldn't have to spend too much effort to cooperate harmoniously.

Although Hack's mind was full of nothing but votes and approval ratings, his occasional bursts of killer instinct could even make Humphrey flustered.

But fundamentally, he was still a good-natured politician, nothing to worry too much about.

“I'll consider what you said. Well, let's not talk about this anymore.....”

......

The next day, ten thirty.

Wayne arrived at King's Cross Station on time.
