Chapter 1
I Won't Be a Muggle Anymore!

July 27, 1991.

London.

Within a luxurious villa occupying nearly ten thousand square feet in Westminster.

“In third grade, you beat up every student in your class.”

“In fourth grade, you buried ten pounds of fireworks in the bathroom, causing a sky full of fireworks.”

“In fifth grade, you live-streamed the principal and teachers’ in-depth conversation.”

“The most outrageous thing is, at the sixth-grade graduation ceremony, you actually gave a speech about hammers and sickles in front of so many dignitaries.”

“If you weren’t the last seed of the Lawrence family, you’d probably still be under investigation by MI6 right now.”

In the living room.

A middle-aged man in a suit, with a meticulous posture, was expressionlessly recounting the glorious deeds of the handsome young man sitting opposite him.

By the end, his lips were slightly twitching.

You don’t realize it until you start counting, and then you’re shocked.

Besides these annual ‘major events,’ there were too many minor problems that he was too lazy to count.

You were just in elementary school, how could you cause so much trouble?

“Wayne Lawrence, I’m discussing a very serious topic with you, please focus your attention!”

Seeing the boy a bit absent-minded, the middle-aged man frowned, his voice slightly higher.

For how many years now, since he became the secretary of the Cabinet Minister, there had never been a time when someone would be absent-minded while he was speaking.

He, Humphrey Apby, the Chief Secretary of the Home Office, was hailed as the epitome of British civil servants, with a promising future.

And now he was having a headache over his nephew’s schooling.

The handsome young man sitting opposite him was his nephew.

Wayne Lawrence.

The heir to the Lawrence Earl title of this generation.

The Lawrence family has always had only one direct heir, and by the time Wayne’s parents reached this generation, the two had an accident shortly after Wayne was born, making him the last seed of the Lawrence family.

To prevent his sister's bloodline from being cut off, Humphrey has been more devoted to this nephew than his own son for all these years.

“Oh, I apologize, Uncle Humphrey, I was thinking about something just now.”

“You continue.”

Wayne gave an apologetic smile, which, combined with his perfectly handsome features, gave off a polite impression, making it impossible to imagine that the things just mentioned were done by him.

The middle-aged man’s expression softened slightly, and he continued:

“Wayne, I’ve already talked to Danvers of Harrow School yesterday, there’s absolutely no problem with you getting in with your grades, just… please restrain your exuberant curiosity and excessive energy.”

“Otherwise, you won’t get good reviews in the school evaluation section, which will have a big impact on you entering Oxford and Bailey College later...”

Harrow School, the most famous and oldest aristocratic school in England, its most famous alumnus is the Prime Minister of Britain during World War II.

“Wayne, what’s that look in your eyes?”

“Uh, Uncle, I don’t think I said I wanted to go to Harrow School, did I?” Wayne shrugged.

“Where do you want to go then? Eton College? No, they’re just famous, but they’re getting worse every year, anyone with money can get in.”

“Westminster School? No, this school has a strong artistic atmosphere, but it won’t help you much in entering politics later.”

Humphrey analyzed several famous schools nearby with all his heart, the more he thought about it, the more he thought Harrow School was the best choice.

But Wayne was as if he hadn’t heard, he took an envelope out from behind him.

It had a wax seal on it, with a shield emblem, a capital H surrounded by a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake.

“Sorry, Uncle, I’m not going to any of these schools.”

Wayne gave a standard formulaic smile: “I’m not going to be a Muggle!”

.....

“Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (President of the International Confederation of Wizards, Order of Merlin, First Class, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot.)

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Furthermore, in light of your family circumstances, we will be sending a professor to your home tomorrow morning at nine o'clock to answer questions and provide guidance.”

“Hogwarts...”

After reading the contents of the letter, Humphrey looked at the wax seal marking again.

As a high-ranking official of the entire British civil service system, there were no secrets left in all of England for Humphrey.

He also knew those gifted people.

Their departments and the Ministry of Magic that oversees those freaks even had some connections, they had cooperated in the past.

The only thing he didn’t expect was that his nephew actually had such qualifications.

“You want to go to Hogwarts?”

“Of course.” Wayne nodded gently: “Such an interesting place, I definitely want to go and see it.”

Then he complained: “I’ve already been in a boys’ school for six years in elementary school, if I go to Harrow or Eton and stay for seven years...”

Wayne couldn’t help but shudder.

No wonder there are national conditions in Britain, after a dozen years of boys’ school, many people are not bent, but they will become bent.

Humphrey fell into contemplation:

“Since it’s your choice… I respect you, Wayne, if I had the chance to learn a set of extraordinary powers, I wouldn’t refuse either.”

“But, to prevent this from being a scam, I’ll come tomorrow and meet the professor with you.”

“Of course.” Wayne didn’t object.

After setting a time, Humphrey declined Wayne’s invitation to have dinner together and rushed back to Downing Street.

Wayne understood this.

His Uncle Humphrey not only had to deal with a lot of official business every day, but also had to fight wits with the Home Secretary, Jim Hack.

Although the Minister hadn’t been trained as a politician systematically, he seemed rather funny.

But his occasional displays of killer instinct were enough to give Humphrey a headache.

He instructed the servants at home to prepare a feast to celebrate, and Wayne returned to his bedroom first.

He silently said in his heart.

“System brother, can we make a deal, how about giving me back the points I spent a few days ago?”

“I’ll give you back those rewards too.”
