The Courtyard: Winning from the Cradle

Transported to the world of a period drama, I started out as a baby, sent to a bustling courtyard by the neighborhood committee, seeking adoption.

But I was rejected by everyone in the courtyard.

Yi Da Ma wanted to adopt me, but Yi Zhong Hai refused.

Ultimately, the little baby was adopted by the poorest family in the courtyard. Everyone was waiting to see this single mother and her child struggle, sell their house, and return to their hometown.

But the neighborhood committee sent over a pension. It turned out the baby was the child of a martyr, not only didn't they have to pay, the state would give them a pension until the age of eighteen.

All the neighbors in the courtyard regretted their actions, but they didn't know that the baby had activated a growth system:
