Chapter 26
I Envy Mrs.'s Husband!

Taisha’s face flushed, and her mind began to conjure up images of those muscular pecs again.

Like a male dog’s abdominal muscles.

What would it feel like if they could slam into her?

Unaware of the thoughts swirling in his new neighbor’s mind, Rod sighed.

“Ma’am?”

“Ah?”

A soft call pulled Taisha back from her fantasy.

Seeing Rod handing her something, Taisha hastily accepted it.

“Thank you!”

She thanked him, looking at the amulet in her hand.

Her impression of this young man improved instantly.

She was well aware that this villa had seen a number of deaths, making it a bona fide haunted house.

In fact, she had initially opposed her husband buying the property.

However, Harman fell in love with the house at first sight.

After inquiring about the price, he discovered it was less than half the cost of a regular house.

Without consulting her, he bought the villa on his own initiative.

This led to a period of conflict between the two.

However, she wasn't worried about the house being haunted by evil spirits.

She simply felt that a house where people had died was unclean.

On this point, she and her husband were alike—both were materialists.

Nevertheless, Rod’s gesture of giving her an amulet was kind.

Taisha wouldn’t be foolish enough to refuse a neighbor’s kindness.

To fully adapt to this circle, it was essential to interact with each other.

Especially since she had a good impression of this young man and was quite fond of him.

Seeing Taisha put on the amulet, Rod smiled.

Good thing she took his advice; he was afraid of encountering those stubborn, clueless idiots.

People who arrogantly dismiss others’ kindness as jokes.

Arrogant!

Conceited!

And such self-righteous individuals were not uncommon in the United States.

Rod looked at Taisha’s amulet, his gaze involuntarily drawn to the snow-white expanse.

It wasn't that he had impure thoughts.

It was just that the amulet naturally hung down, conveniently nestled in that deep abyss.

As a decent man, even if he didn't want to look, his eyes would instinctively focus on that patch of white.

This was a fundamental flaw in men's nature.

Because he was handing the item to his new neighbor, the two of them were very close, only two steps apart.

A faint scent of perfume wafted into his nostrils, and Rod, who hadn’t initially thought anything, found his mind wandering.

He was captivated by Mrs. Taisha’s attire.

Perhaps because she was going to school to pick up her child, her outfit today wasn't as bold or revealing as yesterday's.

Of course, it still embodied the American aesthetic of sexiness and maturity.

The tight halter top, with its low neckline, barely managed to cover half her chest.

It was pushed up by her rounded mounds, and the erect angle indicated she was wearing a shaping undergarment.

She wore simple pink yoga pants underneath, proudly displaying the curves of her ample backside and legs.

Her lower body showed clear signs of exercise, but it was exceptionally beautiful.

It was obvious this gorgeous matron was an avid gym and yoga enthusiast.

Unlike most broad-hipped American women who have a significant gap when their legs are together, this beautiful neighbor stood naturally, her full thighs pressing tightly together, leaving no space between them.

The feel of that firm derrière was beyond imagination.

He envied her husband.

Rod shifted his gaze, meeting those soft, watery eyes, eyes that almost seemed to stretch endlessly, full of alluring charm.

He gave her serious instructions.

“Everyone in the family should wear one of these amulets, and it's best to also hang one by the pillow and on the front door.”

Rod didn't mention anything about the haunted house.

Since they bought this house, they must have known about its story.

Knowing that it was a house where many people had died, they still chose to buy it, which meant the family were atheists.

Meddling in their affairs would only make them dislike him.

Giving them a few amulets would be enough to help this family escape this ordeal.

If they still refused to move and all died in the haunted house, then it would simply mean that this family was destined for this fate.

You can't reason with the dead.

Everyone must pay the price for their choices.

After delivering the amulets, Rod drove his used pickup truck towards the school.

He had taken three days off, but he couldn’t be late anymore.

As Rod drove away, Taisha looked away and sighed.

She thought about her husband who was constantly working, leaving early and coming home late, sometimes even going on business trips for days.

Even though he was working, she still couldn't help but feel resentful.

She was a woman too; she also felt lonely and needed companionship.

This simple desire was a luxury for her.

Sometimes, she couldn’t help but wonder.

Why not find a young and vigorous lover to satisfy the desires her husband couldn't fulfill?

But then she would think about her hardworking husband.

Taisha would feel ashamed of the dark thoughts that arose in her heart.

She could only suppress her desires, finding her own ways to cope with her loneliness.
