Summoning a Heroic Spirit is never a simple matter.
First, there's the location.
You must choose a spot situated on a ley line node.
Simply drawing a magic circle anywhere won't work.
Thankfully, this isn't an issue for Shirakawa.
With his current mastery of magic, he could find a ley line node even with his eyes closed.
Then, besides the ley line node, there's another requirement: "Relic."
A "Relic" is essentially an item related to the Heroic Spirit.
The closer the connection, the better.
Because the closer the connection, the easier it is to summon the desired Heroic Spirit.
If Shirakawa had the scabbard Avalon in his possession right now, he could summon King Arthur in an instant.
After all, Avalon is deeply bound to Arthur.
Unfortunately, he doesn't.
So Shirakawa has to settle for the next best thing.
Summoning the legendary Fairy King.
As for the "Relic" needed to summon the Fairy King, well...
He has to rely on Aozaki Aoko.
After all, Aozaki Aoko is a rich woman.
Aozaki Aoko didn't say much, and quickly took on the task.
It wasn't a big deal for her anyway.
She is a Grand Magus after all.
There's nothing in this world that she can't get her hands on.
Well, not much at least.
Relics are certainly not on that list.
After about half a month, Aozaki Aoko returned.
It turned out she had gone all the way to Europe.
And while she was there, she looted several ancient magical families.
She managed to snatch away a precious Relic.
Because of this, Aozaki Aoko was pursued by the Clock Tower and chased for a while.
Over the past year, Aozaki Aoko had been studying magic with Shirakawa, and her magical abilities had improved significantly.
Otherwise, she might have truly fallen in Europe this time.
But despite the twists and turns, the result was good.
That's all that matters.
...
"Are you sure this thing can summon the person I want?"
Looking at the ancient staff Aozaki Aoko handed over, Shirakawa asked with some disbelief.
Aozaki Aoko glared at him, annoyed.
What a clueless idiot.
无奈, Aozaki Aoko had to explain: "This staff is called, 'In the Realm of Stillness.'"
"It's the legendary weapon of the renowned Fairy King."
"But later, she abandoned the staff and took up a spear, leading to the emergence of the later Fairy King."
"As for why this staff looks unremarkable, the reason is simple."
"It's an artifact from the Age of the Gods, and as the Age of the Gods ended, the mysterious properties of this staff faded, making it what it is today."
"But even so, it is currently the closest Relic to the Fairy King."
After listening to Aozaki Aoko's explanation, Shirakawa finally relaxed.
Then, he took the staff and said to Aozaki Aoko, "Since we have the item, it's time to start our plan."
"Let's go to Fuyuki."
"Summon our teacher."
.....
Fuyuki City.
An obscure small city.
Even in Japan, a country with a small landmass, this city isn't famous for anything.
But in the eyes of those in the world of the mystic, Fuyuki City is renowned.
The reason, of course, is the Holy Grail War that occurs here every ten years.
During the last Holy Grail War, half of Fuyuki City was blown to smithereens.
This time, things probably won't be much better.
It's truly accurate to say.
Thankfully, there are still two years before the Holy Grail War.
However, there's already someone making preparations for the Holy Grail War two years from now.
This person is none other than Shirakawa.
After Aozaki Aoko obtained the satisfactory Relic, Shirakawa didn't waste any time.
He brought Aozaki Aoko along and they quietly arrived in Fuyuki City.
They casually found a spot with beautiful mountains and clear water, a ley line node.
Shirakawa and Aozaki Aoko got to work.
Well, mostly Aozaki Aoko's doll puppets were busy.
While Shirakawa stood on a high place, carefully observing the entirety of Fuyuki City.
To be precise, he was checking the underground ley lines of Fuyuki City.
The more he looked, the more Shirakawa felt that Fuyuki City was doomed.
With the ley lines of all of Japan, and even some under the sea, flowing into Fuyuki City.
The density of the mystic in Fuyuki City was rapidly increasing.
By now, the density of the mystic in Fuyuki City has reached a terrifying level.
Even without doing anything, such a heavy density of the mystic will inevitably give birth to terrifying monsters.
And if someone with an agenda wants to make a big scene, then it's truly heaven-defying.
It would be a catastrophe on the level of a Singular Point at the very least.
To put it simply, Fuyuki City is dead.
And not just Fuyuki City.
If things get out of hand, all of Japan might blow up.
This is not a scare tactic, but a reality that could very well happen.
All I can say is, the fun this Holy Grail War has in store is much bigger than Shirakawa imagined.
"But this is a good thing for me."
"Because with this, the Holy Grail and the Root are closer than ever."
"If I can ultimately win the Holy Grail War."
"Then the reward I will gain will be immense."
"Whether I can win is another question..."
If it were a normal Holy Grail War.
Shirakawa would be 100% confident.
That he would win.
Unfortunately, this Holy Grail War is no longer the Holy Grail War he remembers.
Who knows what kinds of freaks will emerge.
It's even possible, if things get too big, that the Authority will jump in.
At that point, it will truly be a battle of gods.
Therefore, Shirakawa has prepared to run if things get out of hand.
Safety first, right?
And he doesn't have to win the Holy Grail War.
For Shirakawa.
Winning the Holy Grail War would be nice.
But if he doesn't win, it's not a big deal.
After all, his main goal is the power system of this world.
After the Holy Grail War ends, the Root power it represents is just a bonus.
Getting it would be good, of course.
Not getting it won't stop Shirakawa from gaining a huge harvest in this world.
All I can say is, he's a real scoundrel.
Finish it and run, talk about a thrill.
