From the moment he was simulated to be born.
The time he spent on Heron Island, plus his journey to Yashiori Island, and finally arriving at Watatsumi Island.
All in all, it took just enough time for his divine template to fully merge.
Of course, this was all calculated by Luo Chen.
Although he was qualified to step into the Divine Realm before the fusion was complete, it was too reckless. Compared to the top tiers of the Demon Gods, there might still be a gap.
As for now, he has regained that unmatched power.
He will once again become the ruler of the Central Continent, the God of Victory, the ancient Divine King who once severed the light of human reason in the Divine Age.
An undeniable sense of oppression filled the empty depths of Watatsumi Island.
The pure white giant serpent raised its body and looked at the being before it with equal eyes.
"Unknown Divine Path, what is your purpose here?"
Clearly sensing the tension from Orobas, Luo Chen didn't mind.
After all, it should have felt this kind of pressure from the Golden God and the Electro Archon.
"It's simple, I want to make a deal with you."
"A deal?"
"Before we talk..."
Luo Chen pointed upwards and said with deep meaning, "It's better to change locations, lest we are overheard by the guards in the sky."
The serpent's pupils constricted. After a moment of astonishment, Orobas remained silent.
The implication of his words, others might not understand, but certainly not it.
Without hesitation, Luo Chen activated "Tenjou Tensei," manipulating and altering space.
In the blink of an eye, the two deities vanished from their spot.
The Serpent Heart Altar was empty.
"This is... an alternate space?!"
The space instantly underwent a dramatic change. Looking at the pure white world around, filled with ice and snow, Orobas didn't initially feel anything unusual.
This kind of ability was not lacking among Demon Gods. To deceive the guards in the sky, that wouldn't be so easy.
To put it bluntly, the so-called creation of an alternate space, ultimately relies on this world as a base and is thus created, attached to Teyvat.
It's just like opening a door in someone else's house. To avoid being discovered, you can only pray that the owner is napping.
But soon, Orobas realized that this ice and snow world was completely detached from Teyvat and existed independently.
This astonished him, leaving him feeling incredulous.
Unless, the Demon God in front of him had no connection to Teyvat or the beings in the sky.
Seeing the pure white giant serpent's shifting gaze, Luo Chen asked with a mischievous glint in his eye:
"How's this insurance?"
Without answering, Orobas raised its head and gazed out at the boundless ice and snow world.
After a long silence, it finally spoke: "Descender from a different realm, what is your deal?"
Besides a 降临者, it couldn't think of anyone else who could break free from the connection to Teyvat.
Luo Chen pondered for a moment and corrected himself: "Well, calling it a deal isn't quite right. I should say, I'm giving you a better option."
"If I haven't misjudged, you should be close to fulfilling your agreement with the Heavenly City, to go and die?"
His words were phrased as a question, but carried a confident tone.
Orobas didn't need to ask why he knew this. The ability to say such words, whether through foresight of the future or knowledge gained from somewhere, must mean he could be sure of its outcome.
"No rebuttal, it seems my memory wasn't faulty," Luo Chen continued, "So the following transaction is beneficial and harmless to you."
"What is your request?"
"Simple, before you go to your death, entrust the people of Watatsumi to the ruler of Heron Island. As compensation, I will protect the people of Watatsumi from needless casualties and the exploitation of the Shogunate."
This wasn't Luo Chen being extra. He needed to complete his role as the Lord of the Hundred Ghosts, not his current divine form.
The Demon God who loved humans, just the position itself contradicted the position of the Lord of the Yokai. Even if he completed the final role-playing task, his evaluation wouldn't be high enough.
If his evaluation dropped, causing his final rewards to be reduced, and directly screwing up the Divine · Impure World Reincarnation, that would be a real collapse.
Hearing this, Orobas carefully observed him, trying to discern the hidden intentions.
But no matter how it thought about it, it couldn't guess Luo Chen's true purpose.
Ultimately, it could only think that the Demon God in front of it couldn't bear to see the people suffer, just like it had felt before.
Despite fleeing to the Dark Sea, it was touched by a young child while traversing the abyss.
For this, it broke off a coral branch from its body, guiding the abyssal people to see the light again. With compassion and mercy, it gathered the people together, seeking a way to survive on the barren coral island.
It could be said that it did everything it could.
Except for leaving the struggle and effort to the abyssal people, Orobas had completely paved the way forward.
The snake god's eyes revealed nothing, and Luo Chen continued:
"Although it might sound a little belittling to you, under my protection, aside from some rules to follow, the people of Watatsumi will have a better living space."
Unmerciful words, which would normally provoke a wrathful response from any ordinary Demon God.
But for Orobas, who had lost all its honor and whose life was counting down, it no longer had the energy to be stirred by such emotions.
Guided by divine nature, Luo Chen couldn't help but express his feelings.
"Know that in this fickle world, insignificant beings are bound to suffer due to their harsh existence, to be consumed by melancholy due to unfortunate circumstances."
"Whether it's the light of the Mingxu, the peaceful sky and sea, or the magnificent Qiongzhu Palace shimmering with rainbows, the gentle teachings of the gods, all fail to heal the wounds of hunger and disease."
The pure white serpent's body slightly coiled.
It had never forgotten the bitterness of being a defeated god, and the solemn vow it made to ensure its people would no longer be abandoned.
And so, the Demon God who would end in tragedy finally responded in a low voice: "To be unable to feed my people, that is indeed a sin."
"Unknown Divine Path, I accept your deal."
