Moon Maiden City!
Walking through the abandoned city, Paimon stared at Lumine's all-silver bottle and asked curiously:
“Hey, what do you think this thing is?”
“I don't know.”
Turning the silver bottle over and over, Lumine couldn't make any deductions based on her existing knowledge.
Luo Chen had previously told her about the history of the Flower God, but he hadn't mentioned this thing.
“How about we open it and see? What if it's a treasure map inside?”
Paimon felt itchy with a bad idea.
They found this thing after searching for a long time in Moon Maiden City, on a hidden altar engraved with swords and spears.
It looked like a kind of totem or ritual object.
They had to kill many monsters and Hilichurls to get it.
Lumine glanced at the little thing, a fool who only thinks about treasure.
“Hey! What kind of look is that! We haven't found any clues about the Flower God for so long, what if it's hidden in this bottle!”
Based on past experience, the silver bottle with what clearly looked like a binding mark at the bottom had only a one percent chance of containing a treasure map or clues about the Flower God. The other ninety-nine percent chance would just lead to danger.
To be safe, she should…
“Clack!”
Without changing her expression, Lumine decisively destroyed the mark at the bottom of the bottle.
As Paimon said, it was a gamble, maybe it would work.
As the silver bottle opened, a puff of smoke enveloped the area, and the unknown enshrouded them.
Sharp-eyed Paimon was the first to notice something was wrong. Scared, she hid behind her companion and cried, “I saw something escape!”
Lumine's eyes narrowed, and she immediately assumed a defensive stance.
Then, a proud female voice, laced with impatience, broke the silence.
“Mortal crow, so noisy.”
As the smoke cleared, a stunning woman emerged, her beauty like a water lily, her amber eyes gleaming with the brilliance of a dagger.
“Sh-she spoke! Monster!” Paimon clung tightly to Lumine's shoulder, trembling with fear.
“Little thing, mind your tongue, lest you bring misfortune upon yourself.”
The water lily-like woman radiated a soft white light, making her appear holy and pure.
However, her pride and disdain subsided somewhat upon seeing Lumine, as if she sensed something was wrong about her.
“It was you who released me.”
Lumine remained on guard, always cautious about the unknown, otherwise, she might easily make a mistake.
She asked, “Who are you?”
The water lily woman found the question a bit boring, “A tedious question, but for releasing me…listen carefully.”
“I am a creation of the heavens, a being of the world. I am a wanderer through the ages, and I am the faithful servant of my Lord, the Great One.”
“I can grow big and small, rise and hide, whether in the depths of the waves, in the night wind, or on the desolate moonlit sky, my kind are everywhere. In short, I am the proud Mother of the Spirit.”
“You can call me Lilupahr.”
After her brief introduction.
The woman, calling herself Lilupahr, looked at Lumine again, a faint smile on her lips, “As a reward, I will allow you to ask two more questions, as long as you don’t violate my taboos.”
“The first, is not to slander my Lord, Bakhram, this is the most important.”
“The second, is not to eavesdrop on matters of heaven and earth. Remember, there are strong guardians and brilliant stars in the heavens.”
“Otherwise, I will ride the night wind, just as the Three Goddesses of the Night ride their steeds, and make your mortal flesh my new dwelling place.”
Lumine’s expression shifted, it seemed she had indeed gambled right, although the other woman sounded unkind and unpleasant, she seemed to be someone who could reason.
If she could get clues about the Flower God from this mysterious woman, then she could complete Luo Chen’s mission.
Thinking of this, she no longer hesitated, “We came here to find clues about the Flower God.”
The moment the words “Flower God” left her lips, she noticed Lilupahr’s eyes shifting slightly.
“You seek my mistress?”
Mistress?
Lumine and Paimon were stunned, they had found the person they were looking for, was it really that much of a coincidence?
Reading the two's bewildered expressions, Lilupahr calmed down again, allowing the soft light to flow from her translucent form.
“My mistress sleeps in the lost Eternal Oasis. Whatever your purpose, I advise you not to go seeking her. Until my Lord, the Great One, fulfills his promise, my mistress will forever dwell deep within the earth, indifferent to the world.”
Lumine felt there was a complicated story behind it, she stroked her chin thoughtfully.
Who is Bakhram? What is his relationship with the Flower God?
Countless questions arose in her mind, considering she only had one question left.
After pondering for a while, she decided to find out what interested her the most.
“Why were you imprisoned in there?”
Staring at the silver bottle shaking in Lumine’s hand, Lilupahr tilted her chin slightly, speaking slowly with reverence, “The Conqueror of the Archons, the King of Kings, the God of Victory, my Lord Bakhram, forged these magical bottles for us with silver, and imprinted his seal upon us.”
“We became his servants, engaging in noble creation and exploration. In other words, we are not shameful servants, but proud servants.”
“Later, the God King disappeared to quell the abyssal disaster brought by the Red Sand King.”
The spirit's amber eyes dimmed, her voice softened.
“To follow my Lord’s will, I went to find the Ideal King, Ormazd, to take on the responsibility of guiding mankind.”
“At that time, Guili was like an artificial flower blooming on the mountainside, becoming the capital of the mortal realm, but…”
Speaking of this, Lilupahr’s face turned cold and gloomy.
“Human desire knows no bounds, the dragon slayer becomes the dragon in time. With the passage of time, the Ideal King was also corrupted by prosperity, indulging in the greed and hypocrisy of a common tyrant.”
“To quell my Lord’s anger at the defilement of his will, I imposed a three-generation curse, letting flames engulf the gilded kingdom.”
“Later, the God of Wood learned about this, and I was sealed for my cruel and terrifying scheme, trapped in the silver bottle, drowning in dreams, until the moment of my death, when I should have died...”
The ancient story unfolded, and Lumine and Paimon listened carefully.
Honestly, they felt a great deal of sympathy for Lilupahr.
