Victory Falcon Two's speed was incredibly fast.
In no time, Deputy Captain Zong Fang, Daigu, and Lina rushed to the beach.
With their assistance, Xincheng and Juji accelerated their pace, quickly escorting the reporters away from the beach.
What followed was a scene of meticulous preparation.
Deputy Captain Zong Fang began directing the nearby TPC personnel, strategically positioning various machines and materials, including fuels and other combustibles, around the zombie monster, Silizan.
Since Juji had informed him that high-temperature flames were Silizan's weakness, Deputy Captain Zong Fang, while still aboard Victory Falcon Two, had proactively contacted the TPC personnel on the beach, instructing them to prepare machines and materials capable of generating high-temperature flames.
“The monster is still asleep, but our opportunity is limited,” Zong Fang announced to the assembled team, his voice laced with urgency.
“According to Mr. Su Yu's warning, if our attack fails to burn the monster to death, it will inevitably awaken and launch a frenzied attack. At that point, we'll have no choice but to engage in a direct confrontation.”
Deputy Captain Zong Fang gathered Lina, Daigu, Xincheng, and Juji, the four team members, to discuss the next course of action and other matters.
“Just in case, we need to evacuate all the nearby residents. We want to avoid any unnecessary accidents,” he added, his gaze scanning the team.
Lina, with her short, lively hair, wore a serious expression. Her youthful energy was tempered by a distinct aura of determination.
“The TPC personnel and the police have already begun evacuating the residents. I believe they will complete the task soon,” she assured him.
Deputy Captain Zong Fang nodded in satisfaction, then proceeded to assign follow-up tasks.
“I will be in charge of ground operations here. Lina, Juji, and Daigu, you three will pilot Victory Falcon Two. Xincheng will pilot Victory Falcon One, and all of you will be on standby in the air.”
“If the high-temperature flames we’ve created can’t completely destroy the monster, you must immediately launch an attack.”
“Since this zombie monster fears high-temperature flames, even if our flames can't actually destroy it, they should be able to inflict significant damage.”
“Make sure to seize this opportunity!” he emphasized.
Daigu, Lina, and the others nodded in unison: “Yes!”
………
Meanwhile, at a different location.
Su Yu, with Kalimila by his side, concealed themselves in the shadows, observing the Victory Team's actions and engaging in a light-hearted discussion.
“Do you think their plan can handle this zombie monster?” he asked casually, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Hearing the question, Kalimila’s heart skipped a beat, immediately assuming that Su Yu was going to propose another bet.
But recalling Su Yu's previous pronouncements about her needing to prepare for battle, she realized the answer was obvious.
With a sigh, she rolled her eyes at him in annoyance.
“You yourself told me to get ready for battle, clearly indicating that you don't think the Victory Team's plan will succeed. Now you’re asking me?” she retorted, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
He was a real jerk, always teasing her, whether it was appropriate or not. And yet, frustratingly, she couldn't bring herself to truly dislike it.
In response to her scoff, Su Yu shrugged nonchalantly.
“I just like having extra preparation. It’s better to be safe than sorry,” he said, his tone light and carefree.
As Su Yu and Kalimila chatted, the Victory Team had finalized their preparations.
Having confirmed the evacuation of all nearby residents, Deputy Captain Zong Fang couldn't delay any longer. He issued the attack order without hesitation.
Boom! Rumble!
In an instant, the pre-poured fuels and various combustibles surrounding the “monster’s corpse” ignited simultaneously, engulfing the area in a raging inferno. The flames threatened to devour everything in their path, leaving nothing but ashes.
Even the surrounding ocean surface was consumed by a relentless firestorm.
The fierce flames directly ignited the “monster's corpse,” still emitting a nauseating odor, and continued to burn with unrelenting intensity.
From a distance, Deputy Captain Zong Fang, using binoculars to observe the scene, displayed a look of tension, his heart filled with the hope that their plan would succeed.
“Roar!”
A furious roar erupted as the “monster’s corpse,” nearly consumed by the flames, struggled to its feet, swaying precariously.
“This thing really wasn't dead!”
Zong Fang muttered under his breath, his fist clenched tightly. He immediately contacted Daigu, Lina, and the others, who were waiting on standby in the air.
“The monster has awakened. Victory One and Victory Two, launch an immediate attack! You must completely eliminate the monster!”
Daigu, Lina, and the others responded in unison: “Yes!”
On the beach, the zombie monster Silizan, engulfed in agonizing flames, let out a guttural roar.
“Roar!”
The searing heat, though it hadn’t immediately killed it, had inflicted immense pain, scorching its entire body, creating a truly gruesome spectacle.
The intense pain, spreading like wildfire across Silizan's body, was almost unbearable.
Ignoring the nearby humans, it turned and lumbered toward the ocean, attempting to use the water to extinguish the flames consuming it.
Inside Victory Falcon Two’s cockpit.
Witnessing the monster's retreat, Daigu quickly alerted the team: “The monster is trying to escape. We can’t let it get away!”
Lina, without hesitation, nodded silently and pressed the attack button with a swift, decisive motion.
Biu!
Biu!
Biu!
Since Silizan's feet were submerged in the seawater, Lina’s lasers targeted its head, inflicting intense pain.
Biu!
Biu!
Biu!
Xincheng, at the helm of Victory Falcon One, followed suit, launching several green lasers, which accurately detonated upon the monster’s head.
Unfortunately, although the laser attacks from Victory Falcon One and Victory Falcon Two were effective in inflicting some damage, they were unable to truly threaten Silizan’s life.
