Vulcan felt a surge of anger and raised his firearm, pulling the trigger.

Several shouting overseers were killed, their bodies collapsing, blood soaking the ground beneath them.
Vulcan's act of killing the overseers only deepened the miners' fear.
They trembled and began to back away.
