“Woo-hoo, woo-hoo... hu-ha, hu-ha...” A beastman pointed towards a direction billowing with smoke, mumbling incoherently.
Cough, cough, he was speaking in Beastman language. Roughly translated, he was saying: “Look over there, what’s happening?”
Several other beastmen, who had also noticed the situation, gathered around, chattering amongst themselves.
A small-scale panic ensued within the camp, waking the leader who was napping in a wooden shelter.
This fellow stood three and a half meters tall, a head taller than the average beastman. He was clad in armor woven from the bones of some unknown beast.
He surveyed the scene, his anger flaring instantly.
He roared, ordering his beastmen to investigate the situation.
The beastmen, receiving their orders, sprang into action. Dividing into several small squads, they charged towards the source of the smoke.
This scene unfolded before the eyes of Su Ye and his company, who were hidden not far from the camp.
“It worked, let’s go!” Su Ye ordered.
He mounted Chi Lie and, accompanied by the Bladespider, flew towards the smoke.
A squad of over twenty beastmen had already arrived at the spot.
Twenty beastmen were nothing to be feared. They could easily handle it.
It seemed Su Ye’s plan had worked as intended.
He had successfully separated the beastmen within the camp.
The next step was to unleash a furious battle.
However, they needed to be fast. Once those beastmen realized they had been tricked, they would likely return to the camp.
It would be troublesome then!
The Bladespider had a speed rating of 200, while Chi Lie and Han Bing were incredibly fast as well.
Under Su Ye’s command, they swiftly moved through the forest.
Soon they were close to the first group of beastmen.
Those guys were charging forward, roaring, until they reached the path Su Ye and his company were blocking. Then they stopped.
After a brief moment of bewilderment, they charged towards Su Ye and his company.
Imagine a scene of over twenty beastmen charging in a savage, united assault.
It would be like the earth itself was shaking.
“Attack!” Su Ye ordered, activating his Worthless Domain.
The Bladespiders and the two dragons, gathered around Su Ye, instantly gained a 30% attribute boost.
Then the attack began. Chi Lie led the charge. His massive body moved with incredible speed, knocking down trees as he smashed into several beastmen.
A dragon roar echoed, intimidating the beastmen. He raised his sharp claws, *smack* one, *smack* another.
Even the thick-skinned beastmen were like tofu against Chi Lie’s claws. He easily shattered their defenses and ripped their bodies apart.
Han Bing was equally effective, unleashing an ice-freezing attack.
Three beastmen who dared to approach were instantly frozen.
Several Bladespiders followed, easily sinking their poisonous forelimbs into the beastmen’s necks.
The battle started fast and ended even faster. Su Ye and his company didn’t even have a chance to join in.
In total, twenty-three beastmen were killed or wounded.
“Keep going, next wave!”
Su Ye urged.
With his legion, they swiftly moved to the next location.
There, thirty beastmen were waiting.
No need for talk, they simply went straight into battle. The fight was over in two minutes.
Then they moved on to the next location.
Wave after wave of beastmen who had come to investigate the smoke were killed.
Su Ye and his company, on the other hand, were completely unscathed.
With Lin Yan Xi, their dedicated healer, by their side, even if they did suffer some injuries, they could quickly recover.
Not to mention, Lin Yan Xi could summon the Holy Spirit Shield, providing protection against some of the beastmen’s attacks.
Su Ye and his company were extremely mobile. In just twenty minutes, they had eliminated seven waves of beastmen, a total of 185 unfortunate souls.
Calculating the time, those beastmen who were investigating should have realized something was amiss and should be heading back.
Su Ye immediately ordered his company to fly towards the beastmen’s camp.
As they neared the camp, they saw a group of beastmen returning, filled with rage.
These guys had traveled all the way to the location of the smoke only to discover there was nothing there. They were furious. Now they were returning.
However, as they neared the camp, they were intercepted by Su Ye and his company.
After the battle, Su Ye turned his attention to the beastmen’s camp.
It was now empty.
Only the beastman leader and a dozen or so guards remained.
“Attack, make it quick.”
Su Ye ordered, signaling Chi Lie to charge.
Chi Lie had been eager for action, and upon receiving his order, he charged without hesitation.
Chi Lie’s appearance immediately caught the beastman leader’s attention.
Seeing an uninvited guest in his camp, the beastman leader was instantly furious.
He rallied his remaining beastmen, ordering them to attack.
As for himself, he pulled out a two-meter-long giant wolf-tooth mace and swung it towards Chi Lie.
Meanwhile, Han Bing, leading fifty Bladespiders, was rushing forward.
They crushed the beastmen relentlessly.
Apart from the beastman leader, the other dozen beastmen were easily defeated.
This enraged the leader.
But what awaited him was Chi Lie’s dragon breath.
The dragon breath erupted, and the beastman leader’s health bar plummeted.
He lasted only a few seconds before collapsing with a thud.
As soon as the leader died, the last two groups of beastmen who had been investigating returned.
Upon seeing Su Ye and his company, they attacked without hesitation.
However, how could they possibly be a match for Su Ye and his company now?
With the final death scream of the last beastman, the battle came to an end.
All the beastmen were slain.
As for Su Ye’s side, only two Bladespiders were injured, thanks to the beastman leader.
But it was nothing serious. Lin Yan Xi could take care of them.
As for Su Ye, he took advantage of the moment to enter the beastmen’s wooden shelter.
Now it was time for the most exciting part: opening the treasure chests.
The beastmen were not only rough, but they also disliked cleanliness. The wooden shelter reeked with a nauseating smell.
Su Ye didn’t dare linger. After entering, he grabbed several treasure chests and brought them out, placing them on the empty ground of the camp.
