Chapter 32
Dwarves Don't Wear Iron Underwear

(Flowers have reached the requirements for extra chapters, so there will be an extra chapter tomorrow!)

Su Xi Er was not to be outdone, she raised the Frost Fury in her hand and began to chant a spell.

Spells of arcane and incomprehensible magic burst forth from her lips.

The Frost Fury in her hand began to glow with a faint blue light.

On the battlefield ahead, several dwarves were wielding their weapons to surround a Blade Spider.

Suddenly, the soil beneath their feet made a series of faint cracking sounds.

A white chill emanated from the ground, spreading out through the cracks.

The next moment, numerous sharp ice spikes, each over fifty centimeters long, pierced through the soil and stabbed outward.

Several dwarves were unable to dodge in time, and with their short legs, their thighs were pierced through in an instant.

It couldn't be helped, even though dwarves were masters at forging equipment, their entire bodies were armed with full armor.

But, they weren't wearing iron underpants!

The spikes emerging from the ground easily pierced the butts of these guys.

Their rear ends were compromised!

Blood stained the ground.

And there was also a slowing effect, they couldn't even run away.

One unlucky dwarf was even directly turned into an ice sculpture, frozen in place.

“Good heavens, what is this?”

“Magic, there’s actually a mage beside that human.”

The few dwarves were terrified. Before they could escape the range of the ice spikes, the Blade Spider that they had been besieging approached.

Raising its four sharp spider legs, it made a series of “whoosh” sounds, piercing their necks.

Su Xi Er witnessed this scene, and she swallowed her saliva.

Did she… kill someone?

Even though it was indirect, the bloody scene before her still caused her stomach to churn.

But remembering Su Ye's previous warning, Su Xi Er took several deep breaths, forcing herself to calm down.

She told herself that she was only killing enemies, invaders.

With this thought, her heart felt better.

On the other side, Lin Yan Xi held up her preaching staff.

A holy glow emanated from the gem at the top of the staff.

A milky-white domain formed around Lin Yan Xi.

Those within the range, including the Blade Spiders, the Centaurs, and Su Ye, all had a faint white protective membrane added to their bodies.

It was like a bubble, thin, yet able to withstand incoming attacks.

The dwarves’ warhammers, firearms, and heavy swords, all fell upon the protective barrier, causing ripples to scatter from this thin membrane, but it just wouldn’t break.

This angered the dwarves so much they almost jumped up and down.

Damn it, there’s a dragon, a mage, and now a damn priest as well.

What kind of opponent have they provoked this time?

Finally, it was Eve. As a seasoned Elven squad leader, she immediately unslung the longbow that was slung behind her after Su Ye gave the order.

She took aim at the distant dwarves, firing a barrage of arrows.

The dwarves were fully armed, over 90% of their bodies were covered in iron armor.

This gave Eve quite a challenge.

Fortunately, this elf had long since trained a wickedly precise archery skill, and she was able to send her arrows into the exposed flesh of the dwarves amidst the chaos.

Although not fatal, it caused the dwarves on the field no small amount of trouble.

The fierce battle raged on, with a fast-paced rhythm.

The dwarves scattered, dodging the pursuit of Chi Lie and Bing Shan.

The two behemoths were both large-scale attack units.

They were a bit powerless against enemies scattered in large numbers.

This was also why Su Ye had given up training more dragons the previous night, choosing instead to train poisonous spiders.

Quality over quantity, this saying is true.

But, oftentimes, quality alone isn’t enough.

Quantity needs to catch up as well.

Like right now, the dwarves had scattered, even if it was just a few dragons, even if they had the power to kill them in a single attack.

It would still be quite a problem to completely kill the enemies.

At the back of the battlefield, Vulcan abandoned his firearm and gripped a giant hammer, charging towards the Blade Spider that was closing in on him.

“Let you see, the strength of the great dwarven leader!”

Vulcan roared, dragging his giant hammer, leaping high.

Flames ignited on the giant hammer, accompanied by a breaking air sound, it crashed down from the sky.

The Blade Spider’s six compound eyes flashed with blood red light, it quickly raised its front four limbs to block the incoming hammer.

Boom… crack!

The giant hammer landed, the spider legs of the Blade Spider made a crisp sound, they deformed under the tremendous force and then broke.

Vulcan let out a low growl, another hammer blow, smashing the Blade Spider in front of him away.

Truly, worthy of being the leader of the War Hammer Tribe, indeed powerful.

However, just because Vulcan is powerful, doesn’t mean that all the dwarves are as powerful as him.

Under the onslaught of Chi Lie and Bing Shan, two unbeatable bugs, the dwarf army suffered heavy casualties.

It was now five minutes since the battle began.

Of the one hundred and fifty fully armed dwarf warriors, only half remained.

And they were continuing to decrease in number at an alarming rate.

“Leader, order a retreat, we are no match for that human,” York blocked the attacks of three centaurs and shouted to Vulcan.

Vulcan’s face flushed red, like a drunken man, he looked at Su Ye, who was leading the Blade Spiders in a frantic charge through the field, his eyes flashed with bloodthirsty light.

This guy… is too hateful!

“Damn human, next time I will make you taste the power of my War Hammer Tribe's cannons!”

He said, Vulcan turned and ran back, giving the order to retreat as he ran.

The dwarf warriors were tightly pressed by the Blade Spiders, Chi Lie and Bing Shan, they were crying and begging to retreat, and they had long wanted to retreat.

Now that they had Vulcan’s permission, why hesitate? They abandoned their fight and fled towards the rear.

This battle, they had lost.

They didn’t just lose, they lost decisively.
