Back in her room on the second floor, Shiho Miyano felt dizzy.
It was as if she had a cold, her entire head feeling hot.
She had closed the door, yet she felt like there were voices constantly echoing in her ears.
She covered her ears, trying to calm down.
But the scene replayed in her mind, relentlessly.
Like a broken pot, Shiho Miyano gave up trying to stop it.
She threw herself onto the bed, rolling around.
She burrowed herself under the blankets, leaving only half her head exposed.
Her eyes had a dazed look.
“Ugh…” Shiho Miyano could feel her cheeks and earlobes burning.
She didn’t even need to touch them to know it was scorching.
“No wonder my sister called him a puppy.”
Earlier in the coffee shop, after Seiji Akitsuki left, Shiho Miyano had bombarded her sister, Miyano Akemi, with questions.
She wanted to understand how they met and how they became what they were now.
Back then, Akemi’s description of Seiji Akitsuki didn’t quite fit the image in Shiho’s mind.
When she first met him, Shiho thought he was like a kind, friendly neighbor.
So, how could her gentle sister fall for him?
Shiho scoffed. Clearly, she had been wrong.
He was caught red-handed, yet he still shamelessly lied to her face.
The images she saw in the restaurant downstairs played in her mind again.
Shiho Miyano knew she wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight…

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the curtains, bathing the bed in a soft glow.
The occupants of the darkened bedroom slowly awoke.
“Good morning, Akemi.”
After waking up, Seiji Akitsuki saw Akemi Miyano with a lazy smile on her face.
Her arm was propped on the pillow, her chin resting on it as she gazed at Seiji.
“Good morning, Seiji.”
Her long hair flowed down, covering her white shoulders.
A few strands fell on his face.
“What are you smiling about?” Seiji pinched Akemi’s nose, pulling her into his embrace.
“I’m not smiling foolishly...” Akemi said with a playful pout.
“I’m just so happy to be with you, Seiji.” There was a hint of melancholy in her tone.
She didn’t have to worry about the organization.
Except for the fact that she was constantly drained.
Akemi had decided to tell Seiji about the Black Organization.
Last night was her last moment of indulgence, her last chance to cling to him.
The higher-ups in the organization weren’t kind.
Many organization members, friends, or lovers, would be forced to join as peripheral members or even code-named members due to their exceptional abilities.
Seiji stroked Akemi’s hair. After a moment of thought, he understood her worries.
“What are you thinking about? Are you worried about the Black Organization you and your sister are in?”
“Yes... Wait, Seiji, how did you know?!” Akemi was stunned.
Her mouth hung open, looking a little silly.
Seiji, suppressing his urge to go for a morning workout, continued, “Of course I know.
Do you know about the injury of the code-named Gin in your organization?”
“Yes, Shiho told me yesterday.” Akemi wasn’t stupid.
When she heard Seiji’s words, she immediately understood. Her eyes sparkled, “Could it be that…”
“You got it right. Some time ago, I found a drug he carried very interesting.
So I had one of my subordinates make a friendly transaction.”
Akemi chuckled, “Where’s the friendly part? You practically beat him to a pulp.”
“That guy might be weak, but he’s still a big shot in your organization.
He’s a key figure for the boss, and there are plenty of people like him who can take him down.”
Seiji didn’t like being a riddle-solver.
Those he cared about were worried about petty problems, but for him, they were easily solved.
So, there was no need to hide anything from Akemi. He wanted to give her that reassurance.
“So, if you and your sister want to leave the organization,”
“I can help. You don’t need to worry about them coming after you.”
Now that he had ascended to the rank of Great Demon, he had demon servants to protect them.
He could also monitor their status through the demonic aura he placed on them.
Like last night, Seiji accidentally witnessed Shiho Miyano’s self-enchanting scene.
It had led to Akemi suffering an unexpected outburst of demonic energy.
“So, the job at the Hatamoto Foundation was all a lie?”
Seiji smiled, “It’s not a lie, but I could have gotten the Hatamoto family head to offer the foundation to me if I wanted to.”
Then, Seiji demonstrated some of his supernatural powers.
It completely shattered Akemi Miyano’s worldview.
“Seiji, are you a god?” Akemi asked, unable to believe it.
“Have you ever seen a god who constantly wants you to wear a nurse’s outfit?” Seiji joked.
“Of course, I’m a demon, Akemi. Are you scared?”
Ever since their relationship had changed a few years ago, Akemi Miyano had always trusted Seiji.
She knew he wouldn’t hurt her.
Akemi kissed her way down Seiji’s chin.
“Then, my dear demon, I hope my soul will forever be yours.”
