Chapter 17
Ran's Gratitude

Seeing that the customer who came to the door was actually Yoiko Kuno.

Mori Kogoro, with a face of listlessness and dejection, immediately ran back to his room.

He tidied himself up before coming back out.

Yoiko Kuno and her agent were stunned at the door. This detective was a bit strange.

"Come in," Aki Tsukishiro invited them into the detective agency.

They finally noticed that there were others in the agency.

Yoiko Kuno looked at Aki Tsukishiro with curiosity.

He looked much more handsome than the male artists she had collaborated with on the show.

Does he work in this agency? Or is he the detective's family member?

Mori Kogoro, for once, became serious and invited Yoiko Kuno to sit down.

Meanwhile, Ran Mori, who was cleaning up the dishes upstairs, heard the noisy sounds from the detective agency downstairs.

She also came downstairs. "Eh, Aki-san, why are you here?"

Her mood immediately leaped with joy.

However, seeing that there were others present, Ran Mori was a little reserved. She just went to Aki Tsukishiro's side.

"Did the agency have a client?"

"Yeah," Aki Tsukishiro put his arm around Ran Mori's waist.

He leaned down and whispered in her ear, chuckling. "I also introduced your old man to an apprentice. The apprenticeship fee isn't cheap. Ran, how are you going to thank me?"

The warmth of his breath brushed against her cheek, making Ran Mori's ears flush red.

He made such an intimate move in front of others.

It made Ran Mori's heart beat faster, nervously looking at her own father.

Fortunately, he was focusing all his attention on Yoiko Kuno at this moment.

He didn't realize that his daughter had just been teased by Aki Tsukishiro.

Seeing that Mori Kogoro wasn't paying attention, Ran Mori tiptoed up.

She lightly pecked Aki Tsukishiro's cheek. "There, that's my thanks."

Then, a shy Ran Mori went back to the third floor.

"I just finished dinner, I'll go wash the dishes."

"Damn it." Conan was annoyed to see Aki Tsukishiro flaunting his love openly in front of him.

His excitement about encountering a case was extinguished.

Mori Kogoro listened attentively as Yoiko Kuno described the strange things that had been happening to her recently.

Not only was the furniture in her house being moved, she was also receiving her own photos frequently and getting silent calls.

Mori Kogoro was instantly energized. "There's actually such a thing!"

After the agent handed Mori Kogoro his business card, he also said with concern.

"Because of Yoiko's identity, we hope that the detective can investigate this matter secretly."

"Don't worry, I will investigate very secretly!" Mori Kogoro promised enthusiastically.

Conan tugged at Aki Tsukishiro's hand. "Why would a big star like that come to Uncle Mori?"

The lazy old man who's always drinking, is he actually famous?

It's just that Ran Mori had just left.

Otherwise, Conan would get a good scolding if she heard this.

Aki Tsukishiro laughed. "You know, Uncle Mori is pretty good at tracking and investigating extramarital affairs besides finding cats and dogs. He was a police officer, after all."

Conan was quite smug. "I usually take on high-difficulty cases like murders and kidnappings. This kind of case is rare, indeed."

Aki Tsukishiro glanced at him. You死神 (Shinigami) are really a crow-mouthed person.

Today's case really did involve a murder.

After Mori Kogoro and Yoiko Kuno agreed on the terms, they were about to go out.

"By the way, kid, you said you were a relative of Dr. Agasa? Do you live with him now?"

Mori Kogoro pulled Conan over.

"Yeah, I live at his place."

Mori Kogoro received a hefty apprenticeship fee, of course, he arranged things for Conan.

"Alright then, as we agreed for the apprenticeship.

I'll take you to see how a detective works on this case. I'll send you back tonight."

"Uncle Mori, I'll go with you too. I want to see what my idol's house is like."

Ran Mori, who came downstairs, said, actually she wanted to go along because she heard Aki Tsukishiro was going.

On the way to Yoiko Kuno's home.

Ran Mori and Aki Tsukishiro talked about the dishes he had sent before.

"Will it be very spicy? Spicy like Mapo Tofu?"

"Normally, it would be a lot spicier," Aki Tsukishiro said, because the Mapo Tofu Ran Mori had eaten was a lower-spiced version.

"But, I'll adjust it slightly to your taste."

In the car, besides them, there was also Conan in the back seat.

Mori Kogoro was in Yoiko Kuno's car.

After getting off the car, Conan looked at Aki Tsukishiro with a deep gaze.

"I said, Aki. You made food for Ran and them to eat, but you didn't invite me!

I've been tortured by Dr. Agasa's food for days. You're really not nice."

"Next time, next time, didn't I bring you desserts during the day?" Aki Tsukishiro smiled.

At that time, Ran Mori and the others would be eating their extremely spicy food, their faces flushed and sweating, looking adorable.

Aki Tsukishiro still wanted to enjoy it alone.

"It's not the same thing at all." Conan just said casually. He wasn't a foodie.

Fortunately, Dr. Agasa's curry today had reached the passing grade for swallowing.

Finally, he didn't have to move chairs to stand on top to use his little arms to make food every day.

The group soon arrived at the floor where Yoiko Kuno lived.

However, after Yoiko Kuno opened the door, she screamed in fright.

Mori Kogoro and Conan immediately squeezed to the door and looked into the room.

They discovered a corpse on the floor, the blood still fresh.
