Two figures clad in black appeared on the central stage.
“Ah…! Who are you?” Shi Qiao was dumbfounded, as no performance was scheduled for today. Furthermore, he didn’t recognize the two individuals on stage, who didn’t seem to be auction house staff either.
“Since you’ve asked sincerely,”
“We usually wouldn’t answer,”

The man and woman threw off their cloaks, revealing the uniforms of Team Rocket. The woman had long golden hair, while the man had green hair.
“What! Team Rocket.”
“Why is Team Rocket here?!”
Those present were aware of Team Rocket and understood the kind of organization it was.
“How did they get here?” Xiao Mao was inwardly apprehensive. The two on stage were none other than his rivals from Team Rocket – Yamado and Shozaburo.
These two were no ordinary members of Team Rocket, with exceptional performance records.
“Security!” Shi Qiao immediately yelled out.
However, no one came.
“Don’t bother calling. We took care of your security personnel before entering,” Shozaburo said disdainfully.
“Those who know what’s good for them will surrender and hand over your Pokémon. We’ll spare your lives,” Yamado threatened.
As he spoke, a group of Team Rocket grunts wielding rocket launchers and machine guns burst in. This operation wasn’t solely by Yamado and Shozaburo; they had brought along other Team Rocket members.
The people in the hall panicked immediately. They may have money, but none were trainers. They possessed Pokémon, but those were weak and couldn’t handle firearms. They were now like fish on a chopping board.
“Nazuna, how many people?” Xiao Mao asked.
“Twelve in total.” Nazuna replied.
Nazuna was a Psychic-type trainer with extraordinary perception. From the moment Yamado and Shozaburo appeared, she had activated her senses, perceiving the number of Team Rocket members nearby.
“Can you handle them?”
“I can.”
“I’ll release my Pokémon later. Go directly for the ones with guns and don’t hold back,” Xiao Mao said.
“Alright.”
Nazuna nodded in agreement.
Xiao Mao looked coldly at the Team Rocket members in front of him, hands on his hips. He took out five Poké Balls and tossed them.
Bang...!
Blastoise, Exeggutor, Scyther, Golbat, and Alakazam appeared.
“Exeggutor, Alakazam, use Reflect to protect everyone. Blastoise, Golbat, Scyther, attack the weapons of the Team Rocket members.” Xiao Mao immediately issued his orders.

“Fire the cannon!”
“What’s going on? Why won’t the trigger work?”
The ten Team Rocket members with firearms discovered they couldn’t pull their triggers, no matter how hard they tried.
Nazuna’s eyes glowed blue as she used her psychic powers to render the firearms unusable.
“Kame!” Blastoise fired Hydro Pump, instantly sending the rocket launchers in the hands of two Team Rocket members flying.
Scyther used its Speed Boost to instantly defeat the Team Rocket member wielding a rifle, shattering the rifle in the process.
Golbat destroyed the rest of the firearms with its Cross Poison.
“Hu!”
Alakazam used its psychic powers to confiscate the grenades from the Team Rocket members.
“What!”
“Who are you?”
Yamado and Shozaburo hadn’t expected there to be any trainers at the auction. They had conducted an investigation and were under the impression that the guests attending were all wealthy families, not trainers.
Xiao Mao and Nazuna also walked forward from the crowd.
“You two brats?!” Yamado was stunned to see that it was two children who had intervened.
“You two brats dare to meddle in Team Rocket’s business. I’ll teach you a lesson,” Yamado hadn’t realized their current predicament and was still talking big. He threw out his Poké Ball.
Bang!
A large rat appeared.
“Kame!”
Squirtle rushed to Xiao Mao’s side.
“Go, Crobat!”
“Go, Rattata!”
“......!”
The Team Rocket members, after their firearms were destroyed and confiscated, released their Pokémon. They were all mostly Zubat and Rattata, lowly Pokémon with at most Elite potential. Even the Rattata released by Yamado was only Elite potential with a level of 25. All of Xiao Mao’s Pokémon, except Alakazam, were higher level than Yamado’s Rattata.
“Rattata, use Fury Cutter!” Yamado launched the first attack.
“Blastoise, use Hydro Pump Break!” Xiao Mao commanded.
Blastoise immediately retreated into its shell and spun rapidly, forming a spiral of water blades that shot forward, knocking the charging Rattata away.
“What!” Yamado was astonished that his Rattata was no match.
“Hydro Pump!”
Blastoise stopped spinning and blasted a water ball at Rattata.
Boom!!
The Hydro Pump hit its target, instantly knocking Rattata unconscious.
“Chaa!!”
Scyther unleashed a barrage of Bullet Punches, instantly defeating two Rattata.
Exeggutor and Alakazam also used their psychic powers to take out the remaining Pokémon. The Team Rocket members’ Pokémon were too weak. Without their firearms, they couldn’t even defeat the Pokémon of those present at the auction.
Only the Pokémon released by Yamado and Shozaburo were worth mentioning. Shozaburo’s Pokémon was a Mankey, but it was defeated by Nazuna’s Alakazam’s Psybeam. Ugh.
“Damn it, I can’t move!”
“What have you done to us?”
After their Pokémon were defeated, Yamado and Shozaburo attempted to retreat, but they found they couldn’t move. The ten Team Rocket members brought with them were also immobilized.
Nazuna and her two Alakazam had also used their psychic powers to control Yamado, Shozaburo, and the rest of the Team Rocket members.
“Exeggutor, use Hypnosis on them,” Xiao Mao commanded.
Nazuna used her psychic powers to gather all the Team Rocket members together. The three heads of Exeggutor released Hypnosis waves, quickly hypnotizing Yamado, Shozaburo, and the others.
“Auctioneer, you can call the police now,” Xiao Mao reminded him.
“Ah… yes!” Shi Qiao was still stunned. He couldn’t believe that Team Rocket had been defeated by a boy and a girl, so quickly at that.
Shi Qiao immediately dialed the police and went backstage to check on the situation. He found that all the security personnel were bound with ropes. He quickly untied them and calmed down the staff members.
Officer Jenny arrived quickly. After the call was made, she arrived within 15 minutes.
