When the Senju and Uchiha clans established Konoha, Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara divided their family territories on the Hokage Rock Mountain.
Currently, the Uchiha clan owns the territory west of the Konoha main city, south of the southern tributary of the Naka River, while the Senju clan owns the area north of it.
At the same time, to commemorate the establishment of Konoha by the two great clans, Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara named the two tributaries of the Naka River flowing through the Konoha main city as the Senju River and the Uchiha River, respectively.
