Chapter 8
Dudley's Birthday

The next day was Dudley’s birthday.

The dining table was almost completely piled with Dudley’s birthday presents.

Harry had come back late yesterday, so he slept in a little this morning, after all, he was in his growth spurt.

Peng Ying Zong had told him that children need to get enough sleep to develop better.

He didn’t understand these things, it was Peng Qin Xuan who told him.

Actually, Peng Qin Xuan was trying to get Peng Ying Zong to stop making Harry do too much work, and he was very concerned about his younger brother.

Harry understood, after all, he remembered the decades of learning he had done in his dreams, how could he not understand such basic knowledge?

Dudley was unwrapping his presents, muttering to himself, what would his cousin make for him tonight?

Would it be pork knuckle, or beef? He wouldn't mind if he made both, he really wanted to eat them both.

He wanted to eat meat, the meat that his cousin made.

What a simple thought.

“Mom, when will breakfast be ready, I'm already hungry.” Dudley shouted.

Damn it, as he thought about it, his stomach began to rumble, and he couldn't stop his saliva from dripping.

“It’ll be ready soon, honey, just wait a little longer.” Petunia Aunt responded to her beloved son.

Harry yawned as he came out of his room and went into the bathroom to wash up.

“Cousin, you’re awake.” Dudley saw Harry coming out, and without even finishing unwrapping his presents, he threw them aside and skipped over to Harry.

“What are we eating tonight, Cousin? I want pork knuckle, and beef, if not, I like fish and shrimp too.” Dudley told Harry his birthday wish.

Harry heard Dudley’s words, and couldn’t help but roll his eyes, just say you like everything except vegetables.

“Cousin, no matter what you make, I’ll love it.” Dudley looked at Harry with anticipation, constantly whining to him.

He wanted to say something else to praise his cousin's cooking, but his vocabulary was too limited and he couldn’t come up with a sentence.

He could only express his meaning with "I love what you cook."

He spat out the mouthwash.

“Don’t worry, it’s all your favorites.” Harry replied.

“Hahaha.” Dudley couldn’t help but laugh when he heard Harry’s words.

Like a little flower pig happily snorting.

Thinking about eating the food his cousin made for him tonight, Dudley's eyes welled up with tears, his cousin still loved him.

Unable to resist his excitement, Dudley ran around the living room.

Yes, now he was like a little flower pig running around.

After work at noon, Harry went home with broth and ingredients.

Dudley, Petunia Aunt, and Vernon Uncle went to the zoo.

Harry had to prepare the ingredients and start cooking.

“Cousin, I’ll bring you a present back.” Dudley said to him affectionately before Harry left for work.

His cousin loved him so much, he couldn’t disappoint him.

Harry wasn’t interested in the present he was talking about, he just nodded perfunctorily, letting him go and have fun.

For Dudley's birthday this time, he was going to make crab roe lion’s head, Dongpo pork knuckle, beef stew in broth with carrots, phoenix eggs, sugar-coated yam, two-color shrimp, and braised pork with preserved vegetable.

Almost all meat dishes, except for the yam, which was considered a vegetable.

But sugar-coated yam was a dessert, and Dudley liked it too.

With Harry’s current cooking skills, these dishes weren’t difficult at all.

Harry moved his fingers, picked up the cleaver, and got to work.

The sun went down.

Dudley’s family, who had played all day, excitedly opened the door to their home.

A wave of fragrance hit the three of them in the face.

Right, it was this fragrance.

It was meat!

It was the meat they loved the most!

This rich meaty aroma made them smile from the bottom of their hearts.

They hadn’t eaten lunch so they could eat well at night, they had been playing all afternoon on empty stomachs.

They were doing this just to empty their stomachs so they could have more space to fill with these delicious treats.

Harry had timed it just right, and when they came in and opened the door.

Harry had already brought the last dish of phoenix eggs to the table.

This dish tasted best when it was freshly cooked, so Harry brought it out last.

The entire table was filled with dishes, and the plates were overflowing with food.

With this amount of food, 7 or 8 people could easily eat it.

But Vernon Uncle and Dudley would never agree to share this feast with anyone else.

Petunia suggested letting Vernon Uncle’s sister, Marge, come over to help celebrate Dudley's birthday.

But it was ruthlessly rejected by the two large and small flower pigs.

Even if they couldn't finish it, they could put it in the fridge and eat it the next day.

But if they wanted Harry to make another table of dishes, they wouldn’t know when they would get it.

“Cousin, this is the latest remote-controlled car.” Dudley resisted looking at the food on the table, and handed the gift he was holding to Harry first.

Harry took the gift, he didn’t like these kinds of things at all, but it was Dudley’s good intentions.

“Let’s eat.” Harry said.

Announcing the start of the dinner.

“Woohoo...” Dudley cheered and jumped onto his chair.

The chair endured a weight it didn’t want to bear.

Dudley and Vernon Uncle’s eyes lit up, it was all meat!

It was all the meat they loved to eat!

Harry understood them.

This meal, Dudley and Vernon Uncle probably gained at least 5 pounds.

“Ugh.” Harry burped, stopped what he was doing, and took out a napkin to wipe his mouth.

He was full.

But Dudley and Vernon Uncle were still burying their heads in their food.

They were making snorting sounds, like two flower pigs rooting around for food.

The only difference was their weight.

In terms of appetite, Dudley always outweighed Harry.

“Aunt, remember not to let them eat too much, or they’ll end up in the hospital having their stomachs pumped.” Harry gave a reminder, seeing the speed at which they were eating, and went back to his room.

According to the rules of the martial arts world, the person who cooks doesn’t wash the dishes!

Aunt nodded, patted her own stomach, how could it be so weak, it was full so quickly.

She could only look at her beloved son and husband with envy as they ate.

As for Harry’s words about going to the hospital to have their stomachs pumped, Petunia shook her head and said, Harry still underestimated Dudley’s and Vernon’s stomach capacity.

Time flew by, and after a month, Harry finally completed his clear soup practice, and successfully made a pot of Great Achievement Clear Soup.

Peng Ying Zong nodded in satisfaction and told him that he could start learning the dishes of the swallow’s fin and shark’s fin banquet.

The next day, Harry got up, washed up, and went to the living room, where he saw a few presents on the table.

“Aunt, why are there presents on the table again?” Harry asked casually as he started sweeping the floor.

“It’s your birthday.” Petunia Aunt’s voice came from the kitchen.

Harry paused, was it his birthday again?

Yes, Dudley Cousin was born on June 23rd, and he was born on July 31st, so it had been more than a month, it was his birthday.

There weren’t as many presents as Dudley’s, but Harry didn’t feel disappointed, he wasn’t the kind of person who liked to compare.

Dudley was the one who liked to compare.

Harry put down his broom and went to the table to open his presents.

Dudley gave him a robot figurine, Harry didn’t know what this robot was called.

Petunia Aunt gave him a new shirt and trousers.

Vernon Uncle gave him a new pair of shoes.

They were all practical things, and Harry was quite satisfied.

He picked up the gifts and went back to his room to change into his new clothes and shoes.

After all, it was his birthday, he had to wear new clothes.

He continued to clean the house.

Then he took the letters from the door.

Petunia Aunt had already brought breakfast to the table, Vernon Uncle was sitting at the table reading the newspaper, and Dudley was sitting there, digesting his food, his stomach still full.

Seeing Harry wearing new clothes and shoes, Vernon Uncle and Petunia Aunt had a smile in their eyes.

“Vernon Uncle, your letters.” Harry looked at the envelope in his hand, he gave him all the envelopes, but he kept one for himself.

This one was for him.
