Chapter 29
Gryffindor's Face of Wonder (4/5)

The incident in Flying class reached Professor McGonagall’s ears.

Harry was summoned to Professor McGonagall’s office.

Professor McGonagall said with heartache, “Mr. Potter, I thought you’d be the one I could trust the most.”

“And yet you led a bunch of first-year Gryffindors into a brawl!”

“This has never happened at Hogwarts before.”

Professor McGonagall looked at Harry, who was hanging his head, showing a good attitude of admitting his mistake, and then remembered the four mischievous Gryffindors.

Damn it, how could she believe that a bloodline from the Potter family would be a law-abiding person.

“You must take responsibility for your actions, Gryffindor loses 10 points.” Professor McGonagall said sternly.

“Also, every Wednesday and Friday night, you will come to my office for detention, for one month.”

Harry blinked his emerald eyes, detention with Professor McGonagall…

“Yes, Professor.” Harry nodded obediently, completely accepting any punishment.

This caused Professor McGonagall’s stern face to relax slightly.

She still wanted to believe that Harry was a good kid.

Out of the office.

Ron and Hermione were waiting for him anxiously outside.

“Harry, what happened, what did Professor McGonagall say?” Ron asked with concern.

“She took 10 points from me and gave me one month of detention.” Harry told him.

“Ah? We also lost 10 points?” Hermione bit her lip, her brows furrowed.

“You have to go for detention?” Ron completely ignored the point issue, only concerned about Harry's detention.

His two brothers had been in detention, and he said it was a very painful memory.

“It's okay, it's actually a good thing for me.” Harry shook his head and said.

Detention is a good thing? Ron didn't understand Harry's thoughts.

“You shouldn’t have fought, when you were called to Professor McGonagall’s office, Malfoy kept saying you would be expelled from school. If I hadn’t been watching Ron, he would have fought Malfoy again.” Hermione looked at Ron, somewhat annoyed.

“If you hadn't stopped me, Malfoy...” Ron said arrogantly.

“No, Hermione did the right thing.” Harry interrupted Ron.

Seeing that Harry was actually defending her this time, Miss Granger quietly puffed out her chest and raised her chin, looking at Ron with a confident air.

Before Ron could speak, Harry continued, “You may not be able to beat Malfoy.”

He glanced at Ron’s physique, although he was quite tall, he was thin, like a quail, at home, he must not have eaten as well as Malfoy.

It was only after he came to school that he gained some weight.

Ron retorted unconvinced, “No, Harry, how can you say that, didn’t you see it just now? I kicked Malfoy to the ground with one kick and rubbed his head against the ground.”

“You were attacking from behind.” Harry shook his head, seeing that Ron was still unconvinced.

He pondered for a moment and continued, “I just used magic to help you, so you fought so easily.”

Ron and Hermione looked at Harry in astonishment.

Ron said curiously, “Magic? Harry, I didn’t see you use your wand just now.”

Hermione also looked intently at Harry, wanting to hear his answer.

“Ah, it’s my own magic, I can use it without a wand.” Harry explained.

He didn’t want to hide the magic in the game, it couldn’t be hidden, unless he never used it in his life.

A flash of yellow in his eyes.

“Try moving your body.” Harry said lightly.

Ron and Hermione were curious after hearing Harry’s words, and tried moving their bodies.

“It feels so heavy.” Hermione said in amazement.

“It feels like I’m moving much slower, no wonder those Slytherins were moving so strangely.” Ron also realized.

A flash of blue in Harry’s eyes.

“Now?”

“So light, completely the opposite of just now.” Hermione said after feeling it.

“I thought it was my illusion when I was fighting.” Ron scratched his head and said.

“Malfoy is stronger than you, he has better physical fitness than you, and in terms of spells, your wand...”

“Alright, let’s not talk about the fight anymore.” Hermione said with a bit of annoyance, interrupting Harry.

“We’ve lost 40 points now, we should think about how to get those 40 points back!” Hermione looked at Harry with a bit of grit in her teeth.

“If you had listened to me and didn’t fight them... ”

“Hermione, it’s good to care about house points, but caring too much about them can be a bad thing, especially in Gryffindor.” Harry looked at her and gave her some advice.

“Is it for the glory of Gryffindor again? Now we’ve lost so many points, that’s when we have no honor!” Hermione shouted angrily.

Harry glanced at her, sighed, and didn’t say anything else, leaving.

Ron pouted, glared at her, and followed Harry.

Hermione followed closely behind, but she was still frowning and biting her nails, thinking hard about where she could get those points back.

It had only been a week since the school term started, and they had already lost 40 house points, which almost instantly reduced the Gryffindor gem, which had been leading because of Harry and Hermione's good performance, to almost last place.

Oh, not last place, there was Slytherin at the bottom.

Because of a certain headmaster who was blatantly partial, Slytherin was only 2 points less than Gryffindor.

But this also scared the other senior Gryffindor students.

Once you reach the senior grades, the professors give out points more sparingly, basically only 1 or 2 points at a time.

They also give points very carefully.

The same goes for deducting points.

The first few months of school were the best time to earn points.

They gathered together to discuss, and some suspected it was the Weasley twins, who finally achieved their dream - filling the entrance to Slytherin with dung bombs, successfully getting Snape to take the bait.

Or some seniors facing graduation exams, finally couldn't hold back, used a sack to cover Professor Quirrell, and then beat him up.

Because Defense Against the Dark Arts is a major subject, if you want to enter the Ministry of Magic or Gringotts after graduation, you must at least get an E.

And Professor Quirrell's level is really indescribable.

They had never seen such a terrible professor.

They felt that they were more qualified to be the professor than him.

When it was time for dinner, all the students gathered together, and the first-year freshmen proudly told stories about the afternoon Flying class, and they finally got the answer.

It was Harry, leading a group of Gryffindor wizards, who beat up Slytherin, so Harry was deducted 40 points and was also given a month of detention by Professor McGonagall, while the other wizards got no punishment.

Slytherin was also deducted 30 points.

Oh, Harry's extra 10 points were deducted by his own headmaster, they all knew Professor McGonagall's personality, she didn't care about the extra 10 points.

Moreover, because Harry saved Neville, Madam Hooch added 10 points, so it was like there was no deduction at all.

Simply, fantastic!!!

Students from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw were also curious, and came over to ask what happened.

Gryffindor students looked at them in surprise when they heard them ask why they were deducted points.

What, you know we beat up Slytherin today?

Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students slowly raised a question mark, I’m not asking about that.

Oh!

It turns out that was the case, no wonder Slytherin was so gloomy today.

That night, the Gryffindor common room held a celebratory party.

George and Fred snuck a lot of food from the kitchen, and even got a large barrel of butterbeer, they didn’t know where they got it.

“Haha, fellow Gryffindors, to our great Lion King!” George shouted, raising his glass.

The title of Lion King was spread by the first-year freshmen, and George and Fred heard it and praised it highly.

Fred put his arm around Harry’s shoulder and handed him a glass of beer.

Percy said disapprovingly, “Harry is only 11 years old!”

George laughed and put his arm around Percy’s waist, “Dear Prefect brother, today’s a day worth celebrating, don’t worry about that.”

“Besides, Harry has been growing up in the Muggle world, he must have had a drink before.”

In Britain, it’s not illegal for children over 5 years old to drink, almost all families won't stop their children from drinking, some even help their children buy alcohol back so they can drink because they can't buy it.

Harry had indeed had a drink.

During every holiday, Harry would have a small drink with Peng Yingzong.

White liquor.

According to his own words, he had been drinking with chopsticks since before he learned to walk.

Harry took the beer and took a sip.

The alcohol content was very low, it even had a smooth taste like juice, but it also had the unique malt aroma of beer.

“Not bad.” Harry nodded in appreciation.

“Come on, everyone, bottoms up.” George’s eyes lit up and he shouted, raising his glass.

Percy didn’t stop him this time, he even raised his own glass and took a drink.

The only one who didn’t drink was Hermione.

She felt a little dazed at this moment, feeling very puzzled.

She looked at those who were celebrating after being deducted 40 points.

She thought Percy would be on the same side and scold them for their reckless behavior, but now even Percy was joining in, a faint smile on his face.

She tugged on Percy’s sleeve, “But we’ve lost 40 points now, and Harry has a month of detention, we should try to get the points back, not celebrate here.”

Percy didn’t speak, George had already shook his head and leaned over, “So what, the most important thing is that Harry led us Gryffindors and beat up Slytherin!”

Hearing the words “beat up Slytherin”, those around them cheered again.

Fred laughed and said, “It’s not beating, it’s a sweep, it’s a complete victory! To our great Lion King!”

Everyone happily drank another glass.

Percy smiled at Hermione, “That’s honor, it’s something worth celebrating more than the House Cup!”

Slytherin had been holding the House Cup for 7 years.

Because they had a good Headmaster.

So Gryffindor had always been resentful, it wasn’t that they were envious of the House Cup.

Hogwarts has existed for a thousand years, which house hasn’t won the House Cup hundreds of times.

They were dissatisfied with the unfair treatment, which caused them to be constantly suppressed by Slytherin.

The appearance of Harry made them look forward to him blowing the horn of a counterattack.

And Harry didn’t disappoint their expectations, less than a month after entering school, he slapped Slytherin in the face.

It was like eating a piece of ice on a hot day, so comfortable!
