Chapter 20
Professor, Is It Too Late to Drop Out Now?

“Of course, it depends on your progress, Harry. You should know that recklessly approaching advanced magic without sufficient knowledge is a dangerous thing.” Dumbledore, clearly noticing the joy on Harry’s face, reminded him.

“She is a good professor who is responsible and dedicated. If she determines that you can start learning this knowledge, she will definitely give it to you.”

“As for your mother, Lily, she was also an excellent witch. She excelled in potions and left many notes with Professor Snape.”

“Wait, why are they with Professor Snape?” Harry narrowed his eyes, his emerald green pupils flashing a strange light.

This guy could exude malice towards him.

But his mother's notes were in his hands.

Harry couldn't help but think of some melodramatic plotlines he saw during his break in the dining hall.

He loved her, but she didn't love him. She loved him, but he hated him. He also hated him, but he didn't hate her, so he hated himself, right?

He still kept her notes to this day.

Is this Professor Snape married?

A greasy middle-aged man was so sentimental about his mother.

Harry felt a little chill.

“There's one more.”

Harry saw a hesitant, uncertain expression on Dumbledore’s face.

But it quickly disappeared, and he took out a box from underneath.

He opened it.

“Your father’s belongings,” Dumbledore said.

Harry looked into the box, empty, seeing nothing.

Hesitating for a moment, he reached into the box.

Dumbledore wouldn't play tricks on a child.

Sure enough, there was something there.

Although he couldn't see it, he could feel it, cold and comfortable.

“Invisibility Cloak?” Harry looked at Dumbledore.

“It is an Invisibility Cloak.” Dumbledore nodded, confirming Harry’s thought.

He knew about the Invisibility Cloak, he had read about it in books, it was made from the hair of an Invisible Beast, but it would become visible under the effect of certain specific spells.

It was virtually priceless on the market.

Although it was precious, it wouldn't make this powerful being, who was second to none in the entire wizarding world, hesitate, would it?

“This isn't a regular Invisibility Cloak, is it?” Although Harry used a questioning tone, his voice was very firm.

Dumbledore was taken aback by Harry’s question: “Why do you ask that?”

“You hesitated. Any treasure that you would remember, how could it be an ordinary Invisibility Cloak?” Harry smiled, closing the box and holding it in his arms.

Dumbledore sighed: “You really are a perceptive little wizard.”

“Yes, you could say it’s unique, much stronger than the Invisibility Cloaks on the market. No spell can see through it,” Dumbledore said.

Then his expression became a little complicated: “Maybe, perhaps, I mean maybe in the future, I might borrow it. I hope you’ll agree.”

“No problem.” Harry readily agreed.

Dumbledore was taken aback: “Harry, maybe you don't know how precious this treasure is…”

“No matter how precious it is, you gave it to me, didn't you? If you didn't take it out, I wouldn't even know.”

“Professor, you were able to return it to me, I’m very happy. If you want to borrow it, why wouldn't I lend it to you?” Harry’s tone was sincere.

This old man, perhaps his taste was different from ordinary people, but in terms of morals, he was still worthy of affirmation.

After all, in TV shows, there are many stories about people taking over their property.

A smile reappeared on Dumbledore’s face.

“The second thing, I want to ask, is there any course in Hogwarts education that involves killing magical creatures?” Harry asked.

The smile on Dumbledore’s face froze.

“I mean, like, that practical class! Yes, that's right, a practical class that uses magic,” Harry saw Dumbledore’s expression, perhaps he was too direct, scaring the old man, so he changed his way of speaking.

Dumbledore looked at Harry deeply, then shook his head: “I'm sorry, Harry, Hogwarts is a school for educating wizards, and we don’t have such courses.”

No?

No way!

No courses on fighting magical creatures, what’s the point of going to school for 7 years?

To do housework?

Harry's plans to kill magical creatures and level up seemed to be falling apart.

Damn, what was the point of him coming to this school.

He might as well have stayed in the dining hall and learned about bird’s nest soup with his master.

Seeing Harry’s changing expression.

Dumbledore didn't want to delve deeper into this topic, he said: "What’s the third thing?”

Harry put away his emotions and put on a serious expression.

He lifted the bangs that covered his scar.

“My scar just suddenly burned during dinner, although it didn’t last long, it was the first time since I have memory!”

Dumbledore was startled and then his expression became serious as well, his bright blue eyes, behind his half-moon shaped glasses, stared fixedly at Harry’s scar: “Your scar burned?”

“The moment I made eye contact with Professor Quirrell.” Harry nodded and said, putting down his bangs, covering his scar again.

“Are you sure it was when you made eye contact with Professor Quirrell?” Dumbledore furrowed his brow.

“Yes, I’m sure.” Harry nodded.

“No one cast a curse on me at that time, and you were there, if anyone had cast a curse, you would have noticed. My senses are sharp, I can roughly feel other people’s attitude towards me.” Harry said.

“Professor Snape really hates me, I can feel it.”

“But Professor Quirrell wanted to kill me. Although the murderous intent was fleeting, it was very heavy,” Harry said calmly.

It was like he was discussing what to eat tomorrow with Dumbledore.

Dumbledore rubbed his temples.

“You must have guessed something, right?” Harry said to him.

Without waiting for Dumbledore to speak.

“Voldemort, he’s not dead, is he?” Harry said, revealing something that shocked the entire wizarding world.

“That’s what I think, but obviously no one will believe it, no one wants to believe it.” Dumbledore looked at Harry’s emerald green eyes.

“Anyone with a normal brain can guess that the only one who could cause my scar to react is the one who gave me this scar. This is not a special situation in magic.” Harry said.

“Yes, Harry, but they don’t want to hear this news.” Dumbledore nodded.

“Aren’t you going to solve it?” Harry looked at this incredibly powerful old wizard.

The magic aura he exuded was even stronger than the magical creature under the water.

Humans were indeed powerful, although their lifespan might not be as long as those magical creatures, but their strength was obviously not tied to their age.

Dumbledore was the most powerful wizard in the world today.

As long as he took action, Harry believed that Voldemort, who was hiding in Quirrell, would definitely not be able to escape.

“Thank you for telling me all this, it’s very helpful to me, but I have some guesses, I can't take action directly for now.” Dumbledore shook his head and said to Harry.

“But I assure you, you are absolutely safe, no one can threaten your safety, I promise!” Dumbledore said solemnly to him.

Harry fell silent, his fingers tapping lightly on the table.

After a long silence, Harry said to Dumbledore: “Professor, is it too late to drop out of school?”
