Chapter 26
The Big Red Rice Dumpling

Especially the Fatty, who was the most exaggerated, kept mumbling about getting rich; this time he really had struck it rich.

Not long ago, the Fatty was still struggling to make ends meet, and selling tapes was becoming increasingly difficult. Later, even a meal of hot pot had to be calculated, so his greed for money was mainly because he was afraid of being poor.

Old Hu, on the other hand, thought of his deceased comrades; after all, most of his demobilization pay had been sent to the widows of his fallen brothers.

In contrast, Yingzi had the least concept of a million; she only knew that a million was a lot of money.

Xu Lang also sighed, thinking that if he had had so much money earlier, his progress in cultivation could have been accelerated, and he wouldn't have had to toil for a living in those early years.

The few of them came back to their senses and hurriedly began to pack up their things.

Just then, Old Hu suddenly said, "Damn it, how did the candle go out?"

The Fatty walked over to take a look at the candle on the ground and turned to ask, "Hey Old Hu, can you stop buying candles that cost five cents each? For something so important, you actually bought cheap stuff?"

Old Hu, who knew the most about the tomb raiding business, felt a bit uneasy and said, "Next time I'll definitely buy imported ones; whichever country is expensive, I'll buy from there. But now that the candle is out, should we just put everything back as it was?"

Old Hu suggested putting things back, but his tone was more of a question; how could he be satisfied just putting everything back like that?

Yingzi looked at the others for a moment and said, "Why don't we just put it back and hurry up and leave?"

The Fatty immediately became anxious, "Put it back? I, Fatty, have exerted so much effort to get these things out. Now you want me to put them back? I tell you, unless it gets up and knocks me down, there's no way!"

After saying that, the Fatty turned to Xu Lang and asked, "What do you say, Xu kid?"

Xu Lang didn't hesitate and directly said, "I think you guys are overthinking it. Maybe the wind just blew out the candle. There's no way I'm leaving the stuff behind; absolutely not."

Old Hu also wasn't willing to give in, saying, "How about we relight the candle and put a few items back? If it goes out again, then we can put one more back?"

Bargaining while tomb raiding, this was indeed very Old Hu.

Xu Lang nodded and said, "I agree with Old Hu about relighting the candle, but we can't put anything back. I believe the candle was blown out by the wind. Most importantly, don't bother with your crappy candles; let's use mine."

After saying that, Xu Lang took out a glow stick from his pocket, using it as a candle; this was something he had prepared long ago.

Xu Lang was curious to see if this so-called ghost could blow out his glow stick.

Seeing the alternative candle in Xu Lang's hand, the Fatty was immediately delighted, "Wow, Xu kid, you're something! I can't believe you thought of this. I like it; let's use Xu kid's candle."

Old Hu looked dumbfounded, bewildered, "This actually works? I was trying to compromise, and you just pulled a fast one on the ghost."

However, this time Xu Lang didn't ask Old Hu for his opinion. He walked over, kicked the candle aside, and placed the glow stick in its place, finally unable to hold back his laughter.

"Damn it, you dare to blow out my candle? If you can blow this one out, I'll admit you're impressive."

At this moment, Xu Lang was also very curious if this big zongzi could really rise from the dead. In his two lifetimes, he had never seen such a situation; otherwise, he would have chopped off the corpse's head immediately and wouldn't have given it time to rise.

"Fatty, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and pack your things."

Hearing Xu Lang's words, the Fatty laughed, "Alright, just watch me."

Old Hu, however, picked up the candle that Xu Lang had kicked away, placed it next to the glow stick, and relit it, ignoring their packing and staring intently at the newly lit candle.

Suddenly, the flame of the freshly lit candle turned green, casting a greenish glow on Old Hu's face. Without any external force, the green flame flickered and then went out with a puff.

Seeing something was wrong, Old Hu immediately shouted, "Fatty, Xu kid, hurry up and run; something's about to happen."

As Old Hu spoke, he tightly grabbed Yingzi's arm and turned to head outside.

Bang!

Suddenly, a loud noise erupted as the heavy coffin lid slammed into the tomb wall with tremendous force, completely sealing off the exit.

Even the Fatty, who was usually bold, was startled by the sudden turn of events.

The Fatty quickly shouted, "Old Hu, go negotiate with it; let's leave some things behind. If it turns hostile and starts fighting, it won't be good for anyone. Peace is the priority..."

Old Hu shouted, "Negotiate my ass! The exit is blocked; it's clear they want us to stay here as company for the dead. Today, this stuff is going to be taken by Hu; damn it, brothers, grab your weapons and fight!"

A purple corpse jumped out of the coffin, and at some point, it had grown a layer of red hair.

Xu Lang frowned tightly; he noticed that this red-haired zongzi rose from the dead without any warning, and the speed of its transformation was utterly unpredictable.

The Fatty put down what he was holding, took out his military knife, and shouted, "Old Hu, stop telling stories; you and Xu kid are both jinxes. Yingzi, go hide; brothers, grab your weapons and fight!"

The three of them charged towards the red-haired zongzi from three different directions.

The Fatty was the first to throw a large handful of glutinous rice, then swung his shiny military knife, striking the zongzi's chest fiercely. However, it had no effect; the glutinous rice did nothing to the zongzi.

Even the military knife only left a white mark on its body, and when the steel knife struck the red-haired monster, it made a metallic clanging sound.

Old Hu swung his engineer shovel towards the head of the red-haired corpse, but the ancient corpse moved incredibly fast, simply sweeping its arms and sending both Old Hu and the Fatty flying.

At that moment, Xu Lang leaped and kicked the red-haired monster in the chest, sending it tumbling, but he wasn't feeling great either.

Xu Lang felt a fiery pain in his right leg, as if he had kicked a steel plate; this red-haired monster's body was just too damn hard.

Using physical strength to fight the red-haired monster, Xu Lang felt like he was losing his mind; since he would be exposed sooner or later, why not today?

Old Hu shouted, "Good job, Xu kid! This red-haired monster is getting back up. Quickly, stuff a black donkey's hoof in its mouth; this monster is impervious to blades and has immense strength; we can't win in a head-on fight."

Hearing Old Hu's words, Yingzi raised her hand and fired a shot at the red-haired monster while throwing the black donkey's hoof to Xu Lang.

However, the bullet hit the red-haired monster, and it got stuck in its body, having no effect on its movements whatsoever.

Once again dodging the red-haired monster's sweep, Xu Lang seized the opportunity to stuff the black donkey's hoof into the monster's mouth.

Just as Xu Lang was about to breathe a sigh of relief, he found that the red-haired monster seemed unfazed and continued to sweep its powerful arms.

Seeing this scene, Xu Lang couldn't help but curse, "Which bastard told me that the black donkey's hoof could ward off evil? This is totally useless!"

Old Hu behind him turned pale; he had no idea the black donkey's hoof wouldn't work; this red-haired monster was just too fierce.

At some point, Old Hu and the Fatty lifted the spiked club from the ear room and slammed it into the red-haired monster with all their might. Although they knocked the red-haired monster down, it had no substantial effect.

Just as Old Hu and the Fatty were about to continue attacking the red-haired monster, Xu Lang suddenly pressed down on their shoulders and tossed the heavy spiked club aside.

In the puzzled gazes of the three, Xu Lang actually lit a cigarette and then said, "Everyone step back; I'm about to show off."
