A boy playing a video game appeared on the screen.
Dudley: “What is this? Why is it showing a movie, and the movie is so clear! What is that running monster on top of it?!”
Harry Potter widened his eyes in surprise, because he realized that Dudley's words had turned into a string of English text floating from the screen.
Could it be that they just need to ask questions about what's happening on the screen, and their questions will materialize into text?
A man named Fenrir Greyback replied: “It's called a video game. Your words sound like those of an ancient person seeing an airplane for the first time.”
Frauster: “StarCraft? Blizzard's game. Is this guy the title's Lu Ming Fei? And what the hell is this screen? S-rank? I don't believe it.”
Brutus Edel: “Heh, how many years has it been since our school has had an S-rank? Is he the new S-rank?”
Albus Dumbledore: “May I ask, is S-rank a class in this story?”
Susie: “It seems that ordinary people can see this screen.”
Arthur: “Muggle things are already so bizarre! Heaven’s sake!”
.
.
In the dimly lit room, the boy typed “GG” in the chat channel.
On the screen, the swarm of Zerg turned into a pool of blood under the attack.
All the mixed-bloods looked at the boy playing the video game in amazement. Was this gaming boy the future S-rank?
Seeing this, Old Tang still held his gun but was startled. “This familiar offensive, this is my machine gun squad! So, this guy is Ming Ming?”
Could it be that Ming Ming has been revealed?
Old Tang was dumbfounded, but when he saw Lu Ming Fei being defeated by him again, he couldn’t help but raise a slight smile at the corner of his mouth.
“This is the first place in the channel, hmph, I defeated him just like that…” he thought.
However, before he could gloat.
The screen zoomed in, and Old Tang’s smile was instantly replaced by terror.
“Damn, this kid actually used a red dot! Damn it!” he couldn’t help but yell, then covered his head, looking like his worldview had collapsed.
Because using a red dot in StarCraft was no less than using a rolling pin to clean your ears; it could only be described as a freak among freaks.
.
Lu Ming Fei switched to QQ chat.
“Ming Ming, you actually played very well. Your tactical awareness is excellent, but your micro-operations are a bit lacking,” the person said smugly. “Next time, I'll be offline.”
“Okay.”
Then he switched to another chat box with a gray avatar.
“Chen Wen Wen hasn’t come online yet…” Lu Ming Fei mumbled.
“Lu Ming Fei! Go downstairs and buy half a pound of discounted bagged milk. And Ming Ze wants the latest issue, but you’re still playing games. What time is it? Don’t you care about your own things?!”
A very stern voice rang out from outside, and then the audience saw the boy playing the game hurriedly leaving the house.
“This is Muggle entertainment? Heh, it looks stupid.” Draco Malfoy.
“Not as good as Quidditch.” Miles Bletchley said.
“So, is this a documentary about Muggle life? And what is a Dragonborn mixed-blood S-rank?” Ron Weasley.
“Muggle? What does that mean?” Caesar Giulio Caesar.
“In the wizarding world, Muggle refers to ordinary people without magic.” Hermione.
“Magic? What kind of stuff is that! Magic! Are you playing pretend?” Vernon.
“See, that’s a Muggle, doesn't know magic.” Nymphadora Tonks.
“This guy’s gaming skills are so terrifying? Using a red dot, playing this way in this game, he’s a total freak.” Tang Sen.
“This is a game? Is it fun? It looks interesting!” Ron Weasley.
“Chen Wen Wen, look at your little lickspittle! It’s killing me, the way he’s waiting for you to reply, so silly!” Zhao Meng Hua.
“Damn…” Lu Ming Fei.
.
.
Cassel College, dormitory building.
“The wizarding world? Wizards? Magic?” Chen Mo Tong wore a strange expression. Wizards did exist in history, but most of the recorded wizard magic was actually the Speech ability of mixed-bloods.
But they said the wizarding world, not the mixed-blood world, which meant their understanding was different from theirs.
“Dragonborn and wizards… what does the term wizard represent?” He silently watched the boy in the picture being ordered by the woman's voice to go downstairs to buy things.
She knew this guy named Lu Ming Fei, of course. Last night at 8 pm, Professor Gudrun called her and said to go to China to find a high school senior named Lu Ming Fei.
Based on the known information about him, this Lu Ming Fei was indeed an S-rank.
But this strange screen that appeared out of nowhere labeled Lu Ming Fei’s rank as the title. Who created this screen and why were they spreading Lu Ming Fei’s identity?
.
The North Pole, the pure land of Nibelungen.
The snow stopped. Autumn had already begun, and the North Pole, approaching this time of year, had snowed endlessly for a week.
The woman stared blankly at the boy’s face in the picture. “Husband! Look! It’s our son!”
Lu Lin Cheng also suddenly looked towards the screen. “Yes, Ming Fei has grown so big!”
“Should we say something?” Qiao Wei Ni said softly.
Lu Lin Cheng shook his head. “No, it’s not the time yet. You know, our identities are special.”
A hint of sadness flashed in Qiao Wei Ni's eyes. Yes, they were both traitors. How could they have the right to acknowledge their son?
.
On the other side.
Lu Ming Fei took the letter and went to his favorite internet cafe. He didn't turn on the computer, just stared dumbfounded at the screen that followed him to the internet cafe.
This thing was still following him like a ghost?
But when the screen started playing the footage of him and Old Tang going head-to-head in StarCraft, Lu Ming Fei was dumbfounded.
“Damn, have I been targeted by some kind of ghost?” Lu Ming Fei felt a chill down his spine.
“Ghosts and demons, get out, ghosts and demons, get out!”
So, after the screen played the footage of him anxiously waiting for Chen Wen Wen to reply,
Lu Ming Fei couldn’t take it anymore.
He said “Damn it” directly.
He looked around nervously, realizing that most people in the internet cafe didn’t have much of a reaction.
He guessed they hadn’t seen the screen, or they wouldn’t be so calm.
That put him at ease. Otherwise, if his awkwardness was being played on the screen, then he would be caught red-handed. Lu Ming Fei felt he should just find a crack in the ground and die.
But next, the screen showed a scene from his childhood when he was separated from his other playmates. His classmates were all picked up by their parents’ cars, leaving him alone, walking down the road.
His former playmates were quite envious, saying that Lu Ming Fei’s family was so nice to him, never caring about him, so he could go to the pool hall to play pool and also to the internet cafe.
But after school, after spending enough time at the internet cafe, Lu Ming Fei would just follow the iron fence outside the old building to the roof, where he would sit alone and watch the sun set.
Spring came again, and Lu Ming Fei turned eighteen.
Lu Ming Fei thought that his parents were superheroes. Perhaps only when the plane he was on crashed on a foreign trip would they appear in front of him, wearing capes.
He could barely remember what his parents looked like. Occasionally, he would glance at the old family photo and barely remember those two figures.
His uncle and aunt were more interested in the living expenses that his parents sent back from abroad. With that money, his uncle could afford a small BMW, his aunt could play cards every day, and his cousin, Lu Ming Ze, could act like a little master at school and even earned the nickname “Ze Tai Zi.”
In the eyes of the people at school, he, Lu Ming Fei, was only “Lu Ming Ze’s brother.”
That was all.
Seeing this, Lu Ming Fei fell silent.
All the viewers fell silent.
“Why, why are you messing with me?” Lu Ming Fei mumbled. “Why, why show this, why…”
-
Zhao Meng Hua looked awkwardly at the screen in front of him. On one hand, he was gleeful about Lu Ming Fei’s miserable past. It seemed like Lu Ming Fei had a terrible family.
On the other hand, he was a little worried.
It seemed like this screen could predict the future, or it could monitor someone’s life. If his life was also being monitored, what would he do?
Even that kid Lu Ming Fei was being monitored by this screen, so there was no way he, Zhao Meng Hua, would be left out.
If his thoughts were known to Chen Wen Wen ahead of time…
-
Fenrir: “Poor thing… damn… poor… poor…”
Chen Wen Wen: “I never thought Lu Ming Fei grew up in such a family…”
Hermione: “That family is so bad… they used the money that should have been Lu Ming Fei’s on Lu Ming Ze. That should have been Lu Ming Fei’s wealth.”
Draco Malfoy: “Muggle are really that terrible, such a terrible family! If it were me, I’d teach them a lesson.”
Hermione: “No, not all Muggles are like that…”
Dedalus Diggle: “So, what exactly is this screen? Magic? And when did China become so advanced? I remember when I went on a trip there last time, I clearly remember that they could barely afford a TV.”
Liu Miao Miao: “?”
Su Xiao Qiang: “Come on, dude, you’re talking about what era? That was 1980, maybe. It’s 2009 now, almost everyone can afford a TV.”
Cornelius Oswald Fudge: “Heavens! 2009? We’re only in 1991! Is this screen a projection of the future!
Su En Xi: “Future projection? You mean, you’re from twenty years ago?”
Joue Ying Ji: “It’s so fantastical?”
-
The wizarding world.
Many people looked in disbelief, their eyes wide with wonder.
This screen actually projected the future in 2009 to 1991!
The plot played on the screen was from twenty years into the future!
Harry Potter widened his eyes.
Being shocked to know that the screen could predict the future was one thing.
The second thing was, when he saw Lu Ming Fei’s situation, Harry Potter strongly empathized with him.
His life, objectively speaking, was no less miserable than Lu Ming Fei’s.
Vernon and Petunia treated him like a servant.
A free, low-cost servant.
Therefore, he had never experienced what love looked like.
From childhood to now, he has always been beaten and bullied.
“Lu Ming Fei…” Harry Potter suddenly thought that if he weren't in Asia, China, twenty years in the future, if he were here now, and could even become his neighbor, they might become good friends.
Thinking about friends, Harry Potter showed a look of longing.
But Vernon and Petunia’s expressions were quite interesting.
“This… this is actually predicting the future?”
“How is that possible! How could something like that happen in the world!” Vernon covered his mouth in disbelief. His fat face was contorted by shock.
Petunia was pale. “Could it be… could it be that there are magical people…”
Vernon stared at Petunia in even greater shock. “Magic? What magic! My dear, are you saying… magic?”
Petunia snapped out of her daze and shook her head frantically. “I I. I don’t know anything, I don’t know what this thing is!”
Vernon let out a sigh of relief. Before he could recover, he saw that on the screen, a bunch of people were criticizing Lu Ming Fei’s uncle and aunt.
Although they were not Lu Ming Fei’s uncle and aunt, as Harry Potter’s aunt and uncle, Vernon and Petunia felt a little guilty.
Dudley didn’t have that self-awareness, and mocked Lu Ming Fei on the screen: “Haha, this guy is so stupid, so silly!”
Hearing Dudley’s mockery, Harry Potter’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“Hmph, every family has its own way of parenting, you meddling busybodies, why are you pointing fingers at other people’s family matters?!”
Vernon’s bad temper couldn’t take it. Although they weren’t criticizing him, a certain someone with a guilty conscience simply took it personally.
So, Vernon actually started arguing with a bunch of people on the screen, exchanging words like swords.
