Chapter 38
Leaving Clouds A Crane-Shaped Immortal Needs to Ride a White Crane?

“A Heavenly Domain…”

Ping Laolao let out a bitter laugh, closing her eyes slightly to sense the surrounding spatial barriers and environment. She shook her head and said:

“If this is a Heavenly Domain, then what have I been doing all this time?”

“This is practically a whole world…”

Jiang Yan smiled and shook his head.

“I haven’t yet reached the ability to create a world. It’s just slightly larger and more complete than before.”

Ping Laolao sighed.

“Mr. Jiang Yan is truly humble…”

“This is the entrance to Mount Shu. From now on, no matter where you enter the Heavenly Domain, you’ll appear here.”

As he spoke, Jiang Yan gently waved his hand. Countless white cranes appeared in the sky, lining up neatly.

“Come on, let me show you around this Heavenly Domain, especially the paths to the Seven Sects of Mount Shu.”

“The Heavenly Domain is quite large. Once you’ve started cultivating, you’ll be able to freely fly around with your swords. But for now, you’ll need a little help.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a large group of white cranes flapped their wings and landed near everyone.

They tilted their heads to look at everyone, then happily chirped a few times.

“Jiang Yan, are we going to the Seven Sects on these white cranes?”

Gan Yu gently stroked the feathers of a white crane. She had to admit, these white cranes were truly enormous.

They were taller than everyone.

If a certain traveler saw this, they’d probably be calculating how much meat these birds would make.

“Naturally.”

Jiang Yan nodded slightly.

“Without True Qi, you can’t freely control your swords. The best way to travel around the Mount Shu Heavenly Domain is by flying.”

“Right now, you can only rely on these little guys.”

“Don’t underestimate their size. I cultivated last night, and they absorbed a lot of spiritual energy from me. They’ll be able to carry you without any problems.”

“Of course, these little guys are very intelligent, so don’t be malicious towards them.”

“Otherwise, they might just drop you.”

“In the future, if you come here, you only need to call out to the white cranes, and they’ll come to pick you up.”

Liu Yun and Li Shui looked at each other.

These white cranes…

They were almost as big as their original forms!

And…

Having two immortals whose original forms were cranes ride on white cranes…

Was that a little…

But then again, if they transformed into their original forms and flew around, that would be even weirder.

Liu Yun and Li Shui remained silent out of reason.

“One more thing.”

Seeing everyone climb onto the backs of the white cranes, Jiang Yan reminded them:

“Many animals in the Mount Shu Heavenly Domain have been cleansed by spiritual energy and are incredibly strong, though they still can’t match the power of an Archon.”

“But they can easily deal with normal people and will become even stronger in the future.”

“So, don’t hunt them unless you’re sure you can handle it, especially the white cranes. They’re important transportation tools for Mount Shu.”

凝光 looked at the white crane beneath her, a flicker of insight appearing in her eyes.

If the Qixing could raise a group of obedient white cranes and send them to this world to grow for a while…

A Liyue Air Force?

Perhaps it could work!

However, she didn’t dare to mention it right now.

She would bring it up next time.

“Hold on tight.”

Jiang Yan sat on the largest white crane and reminded everyone.

In an instant, the white cranes all spread their wings and took to the sky.

They soared over the gates of Mount Shu and flew across the sea of clouds.

The air was slightly moist with clouds, and beneath them stretched a vast expanse of cloud.

Reaching out, it felt like they could touch the sky.

Even Zhongli felt a sense of exhilaration.

凝光 temporarily forgot all about Liyue’s political affairs and immersed herself in this rare experience.

For the first time in a long time, a genuine smile appeared on her face.

It seemed like she had smiled from the heart many times today.

Was it because she saw a promising future for cultivation?

凝光 wasn’t sure.

She didn’t want to dwell on it. It felt like she was making up for all the lost fun she had in her childhood.

Closing her eyes, 凝光 spread her arms as if she was embracing the sky.

At that moment, Mora wasn’t important anymore. It felt like she had found the perfect place for her in life.

She wasn’t worried about falling. As long as she could see the black figure in front of her, she wouldn’t be in any danger.

It was strange. 凝光, who always disliked placing her hope on others, didn’t find this feeling strange.

After flying for some time, the mountain gate behind them was no longer visible.

Suddenly, the white cranes all swooped down, causing everyone to cry out in surprise.

They could feel the clouds brushing against their cheeks, bringing a refreshing sensation of moisture.

Finally, after passing through a thick layer of clouds, they suddenly saw a vibrant expanse of green in front of them.

Everyone was speechless, staring at the scenery below in awe, their eyes filled with enjoyment.

Instead of the endless sea of clouds, what lay before them was a green tide.

Beautiful mountains and rivers, cliffs and ravines.

In the distance, countless mountain ranges stretched out, peaks rising and falling.

Below them lay a vast prairie, dotted with herds of horses that ran alongside the white cranes.

They flew across the hills of the grassland, over crystal clear pools.

It was easy to see that those horses were all tall and majestic, clearly first-rate steeds.

Further ahead, a vibrant peach forest bloomed in a riot of colors. Amongst the trees, wild boars, rabbits, foxes… all lay lazily.

There were even Fungus Beasts hiding under the roots of the trees.

The white cranes seemed to be in a playful mood, diving low over the forest. They startled clouds of peach petals into the air, and the wind swept across the grass. The wild animals only lifted their heads to look at the cranes before lying down again.

But the petals, swept by the wind, drifted around everyone, accompanying them on their journey.

Gan Yu reached out and picked up a petal. A faint fragrance entered her nose, and she tucked it away to use as a bookmark later.

They flew over the vast peach forest. As they continued, the Seven Sects of Mount Shu were getting closer.

Along their journey, they saw all the wonders, both visible and invisible, that existed on Teyvat.

Finally, after flying over a dense forest, the cranes brought everyone to a small mountain village.

It was quiet and peaceful, but sadly, there was no one around.

The cranes landed gracefully and dropped off everyone before spreading their wings and flying away. After a few chirps, they disappeared without a trace.

Everyone was still stunned.

Jiang Yan looked at them with a smile, softly saying:

“Everyone, what do you think of the scenery on Mount Shu?”

Jiang Yan’s words snapped everyone out of their trance. Gan Yu nodded repeatedly.

“It’s beautiful! Absolutely breathtaking! I’ve never seen such a beautiful place in Teyvat!”

“No! I should say that the entire Heavenly Domain is beautiful!”

Keqing, standing beside her, agreed.

“Indeed, this Heavenly Domain is absolutely stunning. Are you sure this isn’t a real world?”

Jiang Yan was a little helpless.

“Naturally. A real world needs to generate its own spiritual energy. This Heavenly Domain is still simply absorbing it from the outside.”

That was the fundamental difference between a Heavenly Domain and a real world.

But for now, Jiang Yan had no choice. He couldn’t create a world.

But if he could, he would add a few spiritual veins to this world. That would be great.

“The power of spiritual energy is truly remarkable.”

凝光 sighed.

“Every creature we saw along the way was much stronger than those in Teyvat.”

“I even saw some young Geovishaps. Their aura was much stronger than the young Geovishaps in Teyvat.”

“Could it really change so drastically in just one night?”

凝光’s thoughts about a Liyue Air Force arose once again.

Jiang Yan smiled but didn’t say anything.

Spiritual energy alone could achieve this, but it would take at least two years.

The reason why these animals and monsters were getting stronger was because Jiang Yan felt they were too weak to be considered a suitable challenge for the disciples of a cultivation sect.

Last night, Jiang Yan had given these creatures the opportunity to hear his first lecture.

Even the Archons had received a lot of benefits and were now happily helping Jiang Yan with his livestock.

Well…

They felt that they had food, shelter, a beautiful landscape, plenty of elemental energy, and a powerful figure who occasionally taught them cultivation techniques.

They believed that they had a bright future ahead of them.

Jiang Yan couldn’t really comment on that.

Perhaps the Archons in this world were simply naive, making him feel ashamed for placing soul-binding curses on them.

“Welcome to Mount Shu Village, but this isn’t our final destination.”

Hearing this, Gan Yu felt a little confused.

“Jiang Yan, why did you create a village in the Mount Shu Heavenly Domain? Could it be a dormitory for disciples?”

Jiang Yan laughed, shaking his head.

“No, this village is for mortals who can’t cultivate.”
