Chapter 26
Thrifty and Diligent for Three Months

“Wow, that’s amazing!”

“Dimo can actually glow.”

“How did you do that?”

“Can you teach me?”

“......”

Dimo’s antics disrupted the tender moment between March Seventh and Chu Chen.

March Seventh’s attention was immediately captured by Dimo.

She began to pepper it with questions, her curiosity insatiable.

At first, Dimo patiently answered each of March Seventh’s questions.

But as time went on, it began to feel overwhelmed.

March Seventh’s little head, heaven knows how it worked, seemed to be a bottomless pit of questions.

One after another, they poured out, seemingly endless.

And most of them were outlandish, impossible for Dimo to answer!

In that moment, Dimo suddenly regretted its earlier actions!

They were having such a lovely conversation, why did it have to butt in?

It had to draw their attention!

Now look at the mess it had created!

It had attracted the attention of the inquisitive March Seventh!

Now, listening to her incessant questions, Dimo’s head was starting to buzz.

“Dimo, you said you’re the first Light Spirit in the world.”

“So, how were you born?”

“Who gave birth to you?”

“Or did you give birth to yourself?”

“Or maybe, you actually popped out of a rock?”

March Seventh squatted in front of Dimo, her voice flowing endlessly, bombarding Dimo with every question in her head.

“Dimo? (Who gave birth to me?)”

“Dimo? (Did I give birth to myself?)”

“Dimo Dimo? (Did I pop out of a rock?)”

“Dimo?? (How did I even come about??) ”

March Seventh’s voice, like a demonic chant, caused Dimo’s brain to start to malfunction.

It had only been born for two months, at most.

In terms of understanding worldly logic, it was not much better than March Seventh at this moment.

How could it possibly answer these convoluted questions?

“Alright March, stop bothering Dimo.”

“Come here, I’ll teach you how to learn magic.”

Seeing Dimo looking like it was about to be overwhelmed, Chu Chen chuckled helplessly and stepped in to help Dimo out.

“Bothering?”

“I’m not bothering Dimo!”

“I was just asking it questions.”

March Seventh looked puzzled, unsure of what Chu Chen meant.

“Ahem, Dimo is actually still very young, its mind is not fully developed yet.”

“It’s not able to answer all of your questions.”

Chu Chen cleared his throat and explained to March Seventh.

“Ah? I see.”

“I’m sorry Dimo.”

“It’s my fault.”

March Seventh scratched her head, looking at Dimo, whose demeanor suddenly seemed deflated. She felt a little awkward.

She had been so engrossed in her questions that she almost drove it crazy.

“It’s fine, it’ll be alright after a rest.”

“But you, now that you’ve become a magician, you can’t not know any magic.”

“Come, I’ll teach you some magic.”

Chu Chen pulled March Seventh away, leaving Dimo, a single Spirit, to calm down on its own.

“Dimo Dimo. (Whew, they finally left.)”

Watching March Seventh and Chu Chen leave, Dimo breathed a sigh of relief.

.....

“Watch closely, I’ll demonstrate for you what magic is.”

Arriving at an open space, Chu Chen began to wave his wand, demonstrating various magic spells for March Seventh.

He wanted her to have a basic understanding of what magic was.

“Wow!”

“Such a big, shiny star!”

“I want to learn!”

“I want to learn this magic that can make stars!”

Chu Chen continuously demonstrated several magic spells, making March Seventh gasp in wonder.

When he performed the Star spell, creating a huge, dazzling star, he instantly captivated March Seventh.

The star created by the Star magic spell had a touch of dreamlike magic to it, perfectly hitting March Seventh’s aesthetic sensibilities, which leaned towards the fantastical and romantic.

“Heh, just a regular star, it’s nothing.”

“I can make many more beautiful stars.”

Seeing March Seventh’s interest in the Star magic spell, Chu Chen immediately had the urge to show off.

With a wave of his wand, countless colorful stars appeared in the sky.

These stars twinkled, radiating dazzling, multicolored lights, making the entire sky look like a beautiful painting from a dream, inspiring a yearning to reach out and grab the stars one by one.

“This… ”

“It’s so beautiful!!”

“Oh my gosh!”

“I can’t believe there’s such a beautiful sight.”

March Seventh gazed at the dreamy sky, momentarily stunned.

At this moment, she felt as if she had entered a fairy tale world, transformed into a beautiful princess.

She was admiring the beautiful scenery meticulously prepared for her by her prince.

Thinking about it, March Seventh’s gaze began to glaze over.

She unconsciously looked towards Chu Chen, a little flutter in her heart.

Dimo Dimo! (Here we go again, here we go again!)

“Dimo, Dimo. (Forget it, it’s none of my business, I’ll just not look.)”

The pitch-black sky was as if it had been redecorated by Chu Chen.

Such a spectacle naturally couldn’t escape Dimo’s notice.

But when it looked up, it noticed the atmosphere between the two was starting to get a little strange again.

This made it involuntarily turn its back, closing its eyes to go to sleep!

It simply couldn’t bear that strange feeling of being left out, so it simply chose to avoid it!

.......

Although it was unintentional, Chu Chen naturally wouldn’t miss this opportunity to cultivate a relationship with March Seventh.

So under March Seventh’s infatuated gaze, he used all his skills, all the magic he knew, to create a feast for her eyes.

He conjured up everything from gradient-colored lightning, to shimmering water waves like the Milky Way, to delicate ice crystals and snowflakes.

He did everything in his power to create something for March Seventh.

And in this process, his control over these spells actually skyrocketed.

This made Chu Chen couldn’t help but sigh in his heart, truly love could bring out one’s potential.

That’s right, in Chu Chen’s eyes, he was now in a relationship with March Seventh.

Even if it wasn’t, it wasn’t far off.

.......

After a while, Chu Chen put away all his magic, ready to get back to business!

He had gotten so caught up in wooing her, he had completely forgotten to teach March Seventh magic.

“Ah, is it over?”

Seeing the dreamy scenery before her gradually disappear, March Seventh came back to reality, feeling a little nostalgic for what had just happened.

“If you like it, I can make it again for you.”

“Now, it’s time to learn magic.”

Chu Chen reached out and pinched March Seventh’s little cheek, and under her slightly embarrassed expression, he handed her his wand.

“This is?”

March Seventh took the wand, looking a little confused.

“This wand will help you cast magic spells more easily.”

“It will help you learn magic quickly.” Seeing March Seventh’s bewilderment, Chu Chen immediately explained.

“Oh oh!”

“I understand!”

“I’ll cherish this wand!”

March Seventh held the warm wand tightly in her hand, feeling a little moved.

This wand, it was clearly something very precious to Chu Chen!

But to make it easier for her to learn magic, he didn’t hesitate to hand it to her, a newbie who had just become a magician.

It was truly touching.

“It’s fine, don’t be so formal.”

“Just use it freely.”

“It’s not going to break!”

“Besides, it’s not something valuable.”

Seeing March Seventh’s solemn expression, Chu Chen casually waved his hand.

Chu Chen didn’t know how March Seventh viewed this wand.

But in his eyes, it was just a regular Pet Magician-level wand worth 5,000 Locke Diamonds.

It wasn’t something valuable at all.

In fact, he was even a little embarrassed to be using this wand now.

He felt that he, a two-star Brave Magician, was using a wand of the lowest Pet Magician quality, which was simply beneath him.

So, he had already made up his mind.

Once he saved enough money, he was going to replace this set of equipment, which he considered shabby for him now.

He was going to get a new set that was more befitting his status.

“That won’t do, this is a precious magic wand!”

“I must take good care of it.”

March Seventh didn’t know that the wand in her hand was already looked down upon by Chu Chen.

Holding the wand in her hands, she felt that Chu Chen was just saying that to comfort her.

“Ah this… Alright.”

“Go ahead.”

Seeing March Seventh’s insistence, Chu Chen just let her be.

Being thrifty and frugal was a skill that a good wife and mother should possess, wasn’t it?

He wouldn’t want to discourage March Seventh’s good habits.
