Chapter 5
The First Gig, Carnival Nightclub

The scene fell silent. Hua Tian and Tai Ping were shot dead on the spot, both killed by a single shot. Yang Jun's master-level gunplay was no joke.

“Yang Jun, you…how did you kill them?”

Da Sao A Di was dumbfounded. She only wanted to rob them blind, just planning to kidnap Hua Tian. She didn’t expect Yang Jun to be so ruthless and directly kill the two bosses.

“Kill and steal goods, are you waiting for Hua Tian and his men to seek revenge?”

Yang Jun revealed a hint of ruthlessness. He picked up a pistol from the ground and handed it to the terrified Xi Gui.

“Take out Bao Zhu, and you’ll get a share!”

Yang Jun had his eyes on Xi Gui’s driving skills and planned to train him as a driver. Taking out Bao Zhu would be his loyalty test.

Xi Gui took the gun, gritted his teeth, and opened the safety. Thinking of his sister in the hands of Ma Fu, he pulled the trigger.

“Bang, bang, bang, bang~"

He fired four shots in a row, two of which hit Bao Zhu in the chest and abdomen. Bao Zhu was already dead, lying in a pool of blood, twitching and dying with his eyes wide open!

He was about to enjoy the fruits of victory, but died at the hands of his own people?

“What are you standing there for? Take all the gold onto the car, and wait for the cops to come!”

Xi Gui and A Di finally reacted. They both subconsciously regarded Yang Jun as their leader, obeying his orders.

“Who’s there?”

Ten strong men suddenly appeared at the door. The leader wore a trench coat, sunglasses, and white gloves, looking like a gangster from the Godfather movie.

A powerful and ferocious aura rushed towards them, making Da Sao A Di and Xi Gui’s faces turn pale. These people were definitely desperadoes, far beyond their capabilities to deal with.

“Don’t panic! It’s our own people.”

Yang Jun's eyes lit up. The system's reward, the Death Soldiers, had finally arrived. They really had an awe-inspiring presence. Their attire was enough to intimidate. It was a world apart from the gang members.

Ah! Our own people?

Just as Xi Gui and the others were confused, the ten men, led by Fu Guang, bowed uniformly at a 90-degree angle:

“Boss!”

Wearing the same trench coats, sunglasses, and white gloves, they looked like a mafia crew. They only showed respect and admiration towards Yang Jun.

Even if he asked them to commit suicide now, they wouldn't hesitate. Was this the power of the system's reward, the Death Soldiers?

Yang Jun was very satisfied. Fu Guang was indeed a talented person, even if he was a bit of a brotherly betrayer.

This man was ruthless enough to betray even his own brothers, but now his loyalty had been maxed out by the system. He couldn't betray Yang Jun even if he wanted to.

“Fu Guang, clean up the mess here. Don't let the cops find any trace.”

Fu Guang nodded, and his white gloves came in handy. Yang Jun smiled at Xi Gui and A Di who were stunned.

“Let's go! First, we need to deal with these gold bars. Leave this place to them.”

What is professionalism? Fu Guang and his men were the epitome of professionalism. After their treatment, the scene was spotless. There were no fingerprints, footprints, or even a single hair left.

Xi Gui’s eyes shone brightly. Thankfully, he chose to cooperate with Yang Jun. Otherwise, not only would he have lost his life, but his sister would have been in danger too.

On the other side, at the West Kowloon Criminal Intelligence Branch.

Li Cang Dong paced back and forth in his office. He was waiting for his informant's reply, but ever since the gold shop robbery, the phone had been silent.

“A Dong, is something wrong with your informant? There’s been no news for so long.”

His superior, Li Chang, had a heavy expression. He already sensed something was amiss.

“No! Xi Gui is the informant I carefully selected. I have his leverage.”

The reason why Li Cang Dong was so certain that Xi Gui wouldn't betray him was because he had his sister as leverage.

“Xi Gui must be unable to contact us now. Once he’s safe, he’ll definitely get in touch.”

That was all they could do. This time, Hua Tian's team had unexpectedly robbed a gold shop in Mong Kok, stealing gold and silver jewelry worth 30 million Hong Kong dollars and killing and injuring three civilians.

This incident shocked the entire Hong Kong. Even the Commissioner of Police was furious and issued a stern order for the West Kowloon Regional Headquarters to crack the case. The entire West Kowloon District Police were under immense pressure.

Especially the Serious Crimes Squad colleagues. After two days of investigation, they had no leads. These hardened criminals seemed to have vanished into thin air.

In a residential building in To Kwa Wan, A Di walked out with a handbag and got into Yang Jun's car, taking the back seat.

Two Death Soldiers struggled to carry two leather bags to the trunk, both filled with 1,000 Hong Kong dollar bills. It seemed like there was at least 10 million in there.

“How is it? Did those mainlanders who buy stolen goods cause any trouble?”

Yang Jun held a cigarette in his mouth. His calm tone was undeniable.

“Thankfully, we melted all the gold jewelry into bars. The mainlanders happily accepted them at half the market price. There’s 15.6 million Hong Kong dollars here.”

A Di exclaimed excitedly. This huge sum of money was incredibly tempting. More than 10 million Hong Kong dollars!

The deal went smoothly. The mainlanders didn't give any trouble. If anything unexpected happened, Yang Jun wouldn't mind another round of robbery.

“Let's go! We’ll talk about it later.”

Xi Gui drove. Yang Jun and Da Sao A Di sat in the back, while two other underlings followed in another Jinbei van.

“Ding~ Host has robbed and killed Hua Tian, Tai Ping, and Bao Zhu, rewarding the ownership of the Crazy Nightclub, located in Causeway Bay.”

Crazy Nightclub, 500 square meters, with a liquor license and operating license, ready to open.

Yang Jun's eyes lit up. The most valuable part of a nightclub was the liquor license, issued by the Hong Kong government. Without connections, low-level gangsters couldn't get one.

Even his boss, Chui Ji, didn't have his own nightclub. He only had the rights to oversee two bars and parking.

Most gang leaders, they were mostly security captains, getting paid a monthly protection fee for overseeing other businesses.

Now, Yang Jun had jumped straight to the top, with his own bar, surpassing most other low-level gangsters.
