Chapter 8
Can't You See Where You're Going?

Qi Tong Wei emerged from a men's clothing store.

He had transformed, sporting a gray hooded sweatshirt, casual pants, and sneakers.

Instantly, he seemed to have rejuvenated, resembling a dashing figure from his university days.

His discarded police uniform was stuffed into a backpack he carried on his back.

According to the radar, the A-level fugitive was fixed in a shop located in the clothing wholesale market.

He had remained motionless, his activities unknown.

Following the radar's guidance, Qi Tong Wei stealthily approached the suspect's location.

As he neared the shop, Qi Tong Wei discovered the suspect was playing mahjong with others.

Upon seeing this, Qi Tong Wei's eyes flickered.

He thought to himself: the suspect was outnumbered, it was not advisable to spook him.

He swiftly found a refreshment stall, purchased a cup of iced tea, and sat down to observe.

Inside the shop, there were five people, including the suspect.

Four men, shirtless, were engrossed in mahjong, while a woman with a perm served as lookout.

Occasionally, if someone had bad luck, the woman would step in to help.

Regardless, their vigilance remained, ensuring someone was always keeping watch.

The suspect sat near the back door, ready to make a quick escape.

They neglected their business, playing cards from noon until dusk.

Qi Tong Wei stayed at the stall, sipping iced tea, which he had already consumed several pots of, and also made a couple of trips to the bathroom.

Finally, the suspect, clad in a vest with a soaring dragon tattoo on his back, parted his hair in the middle, pushed his mahjong tiles aside and yelled, "I'm out, I'm out, I'm so unlucky today, I just keep losing!"

He pulled out his phone, scanned QR codes to settle the bill for everyone, and left.

A man with a crew cut called out, "Xiao Hu, use the back door, change your clothes and wear a mask when you go out."

The suspect, named Xiao Hu, replied impatiently, "I know, you keep nagging, you're like a long-tongued woman, so many rules!"

A burly man with a vest next to the crew cut roared, "Xiao Hu, watch your mouth!"

Another chimed in, "Yeah, you dare talk to our Kun Ge like that? Careful I cripple you!"

Xiao Hu was instantly annoyed!

He had already suspected these guys were colluding to win his money, and now their attitude was so arrogant, how could Xiao Hu tolerate it?

In three strides, he rushed forward, grabbed the fat man by his vest, lifted him up, and raised his fist, ready to strike the man's face.

The woman with the wavy hair quickly stood up, pulled on Xiao Hu's arm, and pleaded, "Xiao Hu! We're all on the same side, what are you doing?"

The fat man was furious, staring at Xiao Hu, "Go ahead, hit me! You're a lapdog who's come to seek refuge, do you really think you're a big shot?"

Provoked by the fat man, Xiao Hu instantly broke free from the woman's grip and hammered his fist directly into the man's face!

The fat man was knocked to the ground by Xiao Hu's punch, falling onto the mahjong table, sending tiles scattering everywhere.

Customers from nearby shops, upon seeing the fight, didn't flee, but instead crowded around.

This was a common occurrence in the wholesale market, and these onlookers weren't afraid in the least.

The wavy-haired woman, realizing the situation was escalating, quickly pulled down the shop's roller shutter.

The crowd, realizing there was no more excitement to be seen, dispersed immediately.

After beating the fat man, Xiao Hu said coldly, "Fatty, I've endured you for long enough, I'm not here seeking refuge, got it?"

The wavy-haired woman and the others stood aside, not daring to speak.

Kun Ge sat there the entire time, not intervening.

When Xiao Hu finished beating the fat man, Kun Ge stood up.

"Xiao Hu, Lin Can is my sworn brother, so I let you stay here to hide. I know you're in a dangerous business, but I'm willing to lend you a hand."

"But today, you hit my brother, so, I'm afraid, I can't accommodate you here anymore. Tomorrow, you'll have to find your own way."

Seeing Kun Ge issuing an eviction order, Xiao Hu spat on the ground and sneered, "Kun Ge, don't pretend, you know you deliberately set a trap for me!"

"You're a coward, you don't dare offend Can Ge, so you came up with this lousy plan to force me out, right?"

He pointed at Kun Ge, then at everyone present, "Fine, I'll leave! You guys wait for me!"

"When I, Hu Ye, get through this storm, don't let me see you guys in Dongshan, or I'll beat you every time!"

He turned and walked towards the back door.

The others wanted to stop him, but Kun Ge called out.

Xiao Hu left the shop through the back door, still indignant, muttering curses.

At that moment, a young man, wearing a baseball cap, a hooded sweatshirt, and carrying a backpack, was looking down at his phone.

He was walking towards Xiao Hu.

Whether it was deliberate or an accident, the man was so engrossed in his phone that he bumped into Xiao Hu!

Xiao Hu stumbled, and pointed his finger at the man, shouting, "You can't see where you're going..."

However, before Xiao Hu could finish, the man grabbed his right hand!

He quickly moved behind Xiao Hu, skillfully twisting his right arm backward!

"Ah!"

Xiao Hu was instantly subdued, his arm joint twisted, causing him to cry out in pain!
