“The Yukinoshita family?”
Sawamura Sayuri’s expression shifted slightly, her eyes widening in realization. “So the problem with the Yukinoshita family was solved by you all?”
Yotsuya Miko nodded. “That’s right.”
Shiina Mahiru was confused, asking softly, “What are you all talking about? I don’t understand.”
Yurikawa Hana looked at Lu Li. “Lu Li, can you show Shiina-san?”
“Shiina-san, when you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you. Are you truly ready to accept the reality of the world?” Lu Li asked.
Shiina Mahiru took a deep breath, her expression turning serious. “Of course.”
“If that’s the case, Xiao Hua, you can show her.”
Yurikawa Hana nodded and stepped forward, placing a hand on Shiina Mahiru’s shoulder. Without needing any instructions, Shiina Mahiru rushed outside, then returned with a pale face.
“There are such terrifying monsters in the world? Did Sawamura-san disappear because of them?”
Lu Li shook his head. “It’s too early to draw conclusions. We need to go up and investigate to find out the truth.”
Sawamura Sayuri stood up and led the way forward. “Please follow me.”
She led the group upstairs.
“This is where I felt something amiss. These clothes, I definitely didn’t buy them.”
The group entered the room and indeed saw Toyozaki’s school uniform and a notebook that Eriri had not finished drawing.
Farlin suddenly spoke. “I sense the aura of a teleportation array.”
Lu Li nodded. “I feel it too. Hui-chan, give me the staff.”
Although he could cast spells without a staff, having one would at least save him some energy.
Taking the Dragon Bone staff, his magic flowed, and light appeared on the staff. Ripples began to form in the room, and gradually, a strange scene emerged within the ripples.
The scenery inside was quite similar to the real world, like a reflection.
“Where is that?”
Sawamura Sayuri was confused.
“I don’t know.” Lu Li didn’t act rashly. He picked an apple from the fruit platter on the table, carved it into a small bird, and used a summoning spell.
The next moment, the apple bird flew into the ripples.
Lu Li closed his eyes, sharing the bird’s vision, and softly described the world on the other side. “This world is unexpectedly large. I haven’t seen the end yet, but there are no humans, only those evil spirits. Now I finally know why the evil spirits are endless – they’re running out of this place.”
The apple bird flew at an incredible speed, covering miles in an instant.
In this space, the sky was dim, the earth was crimson red, like a molten lava hell. Only evil spirits and urban legends roamed.
Kato Megumi asked, “Have you found Eriri?”
“Found her!” Lu Li’s expression shifted. “Currently, she’s out of danger.”
He closed the vision-sharing with the apple bird and opened his eyes.
“Let’s go. We’ll consider this our training for today.”
With the ability to teleport, and nothing in the other world being too powerful to handle, Lu Li wasn’t afraid.
Yotsuya Miko said, “Our training is in this place today? Good, at least we don’t have to worry about being seen by ordinary people.”
She skillfully drew her longsword and staff. The longsword was unsheathed, held in her hand, while the staff was strapped to her back as a backup.
Shiina Mahiru was surprised. “Do all of you fight those monsters on a daily basis?”
Kashiwazaki Shiori nodded. “Of course, this is training. You’ll understand the benefits of training once you join a 眷族.”
The teleportation portal opened, and Sawamura Sayuri, seemingly remembering Eriri’s existence, her eyes filled with tears, said, “Can I go in too?”
Lu Li looked at Farlin and said, “Farlin, please help protect Sawamura-san. She’s our client.”
Farlin nodded. “Don’t worry.”
“By the way, Sawamura-san, we don’t know how long we’ll be gone, so you should tell your maid to stay with you.” Lu Li instructed. “I also need to make some preparations.”
He opened another teleportation portal, retrieved a pair of swords from his home, strapped them to his back, and grabbed some food just in case.
After doing this, he waited for a while, and Sawamura Sayuri returned.
“I gave the maid a day off, so that should be enough time.”
Lu Li nodded, taking the lead and entering the teleportation portal, followed by Kato Megumi and the others.
Upon arriving in the reflected world, everyone was stunned by the sight before them.
Due to the changes in the world, even without the Yin-Yang Eye, everyone could now clearly see the various evil spirits.
The sky was dark, the earth was blood red, like hell, making everyone feel their scalp tingle.
“Hui-chan, Miko, you two lead the way,” Lu Li commanded. “Kashiwazaki-san, you deal with the weaker evil spirits, and try to level up as soon as possible. Farlin, Marusic, you two just focus on healing.”
“Yes.”
This was not the first time they had worked together, so they responded in unison and rushed forward.
Sawamura Sayuri had now fully remembered.
“Eriri is actually in here. I wonder how much she’s suffered…”
Even though Sawamura Sayuri hadn’t spoiled Eriri, she was still a wealthy young lady who had never suffered hardship.
Seeing how harsh this world was, Sawamura Sayuri felt a pang of heartache.
“Sawamura-san, don’t worry, you’ll see Eriri-san soon.”
As he spoke, the longsword was already in his hand, its yellow crystal-like blade dazzlingly beautiful.
But its power was not to be underestimated. Those evil spirits that sensed the group’s presence, towering over thirty meters tall, were cleaved in half by Lu Li from afar, then turned into dust.
Kashiwazaki Shiori praised, “These two swords are really amazing, no wonder they cost over a hundred million to make.”
“Over a hundred million?” Sawamura Sayuri was surprised. “This weapon set is that expensive?”
“Of course.” Farlin, while casting spells to heal the fighting members, said, “These two swords used five hundred tons of steel and a pair of dragon horns, of course they’re expensive.”
“Dragon horns?” Sawamura Sayuri was shocked. “Dragons actually exist in this world?”
Upon hearing this, no one bothered to explain.
Shiina Mahiru followed closely behind Sawamura Sayuri, feeling that the events of today were more extraordinary than anything she had experienced in the past seventeen years.
Evil spirits and the world where evil spirits are born.
The ordinary world was merely a facade, and above this facade lay a hellish underworld.
Half an hour passed.
Lu Li and his group continued to fight their way forward, finally reaching a towering building of over ten stories.
Yotsuya Miko was curious. “Eriri is just an ordinary person, how did she manage to get so far?”
This was also a question in Sawamura Sayuri’s mind.
“Miko doesn’t understand teleportation magic, so you naturally have this question.” Farlin chimed in. “Space isn’t stable, so the previous teleportation location in Sawamura-san’s room is probably different from our current teleportation location. Precise teleportation is a difficult problem!”
Marusic nodded lightly. “If we could conquer the problem of precise teleportation, we could create teleportation devices. This is a skill only high-level mages can achieve.”
