Chapter 15
Walking Mushrooms and Giant Scorpions, A Monster Feast

The three women were very happy to hear this.

After packing up, the four of them passed through the dimensional portal and entered the Labyrinth Restaurant world.

Lu Li used his divine power to bestow the common language and knowledge of this world upon the three women. He led them out of the alley and into a clothing store, where each of them bought a set of clothes from this world and changed into them.

As for armor, that was out of the question.

Twenty gold coins could buy some ordinary clothes, but it wouldn’t even be enough to buy a single set of armor.

“Let’s go meet up,” Lu Li said, waving his hand. “I’ve already made arrangements with an adventurer team. His sister was swallowed by a red dragon, and we need to rescue her before she’s digested and revive her.”

Yotsuya Miko was stunned: “Revive her?”

Hiragi Kawa Hua’s eyes shone brightly: “This world can actually revive people?”

Lu Li explained: “It can indeed revive people, but it’s usually limited to within the labyrinth. Due to the curse, the souls of those who die in the labyrinth cannot leave. As long as their bodies are mostly intact, they can be revived. Outside, there’s no curse, and the soul disappears, so the resurrection technique is useless.”

Kato Megumi: “That’s amazing.”

Even Kato Megumi, who didn’t care about anything, was incredibly curious.

It was magic, after all.

The four of them waited outside the town for a while, and then they saw Reios and his group running over.

“Lu Li, are these your teammates?”

Lu Li nodded: “That’s right.”

Reios was overjoyed: “That’s great. By the way, since we’re out of money, we can only eat monsters on our way. Are you okay with that?”

Marusicil looked dejected, clearly already knowing the plan.

Zilchak didn’t look too good either.

They had a natural aversion to monsters.

Lu Li’s eyes lit up with interest: “I’m actually quite looking forward to the taste of monsters.”

Hiragi Kawa Hua was shocked: “Monsters? We’re going to eat monsters?!”

Yotsuya Miko was equally astonished: “Can you eat monsters?”

“Of course,” Lu Li said. “Don’t you want to try dragon meat or something like that?”

The group was stunned, except for Reios, who looked like he had found a kindred spirit.

To be honest, he had been looking forward to this for a long time.

As they talked, they reached the entrance to the labyrinth and walked inside.

Hiragi Kawa Hua, Yotsuya Miko, and Kato Megumi were entering a labyrinth for the first time, and they were full of curiosity.

This underground labyrinth had its own ecosystem, something that didn’t exist in the real world. It made them feel like it was worth the trip.

“Help!”

At that moment, a group of adventurers came running for their lives, followed by a half-human-sized mushroom, the Walking Mushroom.

Yotsuya Miko’s eyes flickered, her long sword unsheathed. With a flash of cold light, the Walking Mushroom was instantly cut in half.

Reios stepped forward, picked up the Walking Mushroom, and a look of curiosity appeared in his eyes.

“Do you think this is edible?”

Hiragi Kawa Hua was amazed: “Such a big mushroom, and it can walk. Can you really eat it?”

As they were talking, Reios heard a strange sound and his expression brightened.

“That’s the sound of a scorpion.”

He quickly wrapped a cloth around the scabbard of his sword, reached into a nearby cave, and pulled out a two-foot-long scorpion as if he were grabbing a crab.

Marusicil’s face turned pale: “You’re not serious, are you? You want to eat that?”

Yotsuya Miko’s face also changed slightly: “Are we really going to eat that?”

Hiragi Kawa Hua was very curious: “Don’t you want to try it, Miko? Such a big scorpion, it’s rare to see!”

Yotsuya Miko was speechless.

Kawa Hua was such a foodie, even in the face of a monster, she wanted to try its taste.

While they were discussing, Reios, the man of action, had already gotten started. He cut the scorpion and the Walking Mushroom into the pot and started boiling them.

A moment later.

“Ugh…”

With a dry heave from Reios, the monster feast was declared a failure.

Marusicil looked speechless and exchanged a glance with Zilchak.

“I told you so!”

Lu Li’s eyes scanned the area and soon spotted the dwarf, Senci.

Senci saw Reios and his group making a monster feast and walked out as if he had found a kindred spirit.

“Boiling a scorpion? This method isn’t quite right.”

Marusicil was surprised: “Who are you?”

Senci didn’t answer. He stepped forward and skillfully began to process the scorpion.

He removed the scorpion’s legs and tail, and then removed the innards. He treated it like he was preparing a crab, and as he processed it, he explained the benefits of doing so.

Hiragi Kawa Hua cheered: “Miko, look, this scorpion meat looks like lobster and crab! It must be delicious.”

Senci smiled: “Not bad, the taste is indeed similar to lobster.”

Then he explained the method for processing the Walking Mushroom, wielding his chef’s knife and cutting off the outer layer of the huge Walking Mushroom, cutting it into chunks.

“This mushroom is too big, the outside is too old, and it needs to be peeled. And the Walking Mushroom’s feet have a special aroma, a rare delicacy.”

Marusicil: “Foot odor?”

Reios leaned closer: “It really smells good.”

“Right?” The dwarf was happy to be validated. He picked up his chef’s knife again and went to cut the roots that grew on the walls of the labyrinth, similar to mountain yam, and the vegetables that grew on the walls.

Marusicil yelled: “No way, right? Stuff that grows in a tomb can’t be eaten, right?”

As soon as the words left her mouth, a pile of slime fell from above. It was a Slime.

The Slime landed on Marusicil’s head, enveloping her cheeks. Marusicil couldn’t breathe, and she was reminded of the time she first died.

She had died at the hands of a Slime that time.

Lu Li’s eyes flashed, and he gently tapped the Slime, instantly killing it.

Dwarf Senci saw this and quickly stepped forward to pick up the Slime. He had a look of joy on his face as he introduced the method for making Slime jerky.

He finished speaking and took out some already-made Slime jerky, slicing it into the pot.

As the fire boiled, various seasonings were added, and a delicious aroma filled the air.

“It smells so good,” Hiragi Kawa Hua said excitedly. “Slime, Walking Mushroom, Scorpion, it must be delicious!”

Reios also looked the same way, his eyes never leaving the pot.

Only Marusicil felt her scalp tingle at the thought of eating monsters.

A moment later.

The scorpion pot was cooked, and Lu Li and his group each took a bowl and happily ate.

“There’s a very strange energy flowing, it’s very good for ordinary people,” Lu Li analyzed.

Of course, for him, or for those who were already accustomed to the magic in this world, this supplement wasn’t much.

But for ordinary people from the world of anime, it was a great supplement.

Hiragi Kawa Hua ate a bowl and felt a warm current flowing throughout her body.

Even Yotsuya Miko and Kato Megumi’s expressions changed from reluctance to joy.

“So delicious!” Hiragi Kawa Hua and Reios cheered. “I want another bowl!”

Marusicil listened and couldn’t help but be tempted: “I want a bowl too.”

She picked up a piece of scorpion meat that was like a clove of garlic. Her aversion to monsters finally lessened, and she tasted the Walking Mushroom and the Slime. She instantly became a prisoner of delicious food.

If she didn’t know this was a monster feast, she would definitely be enjoying it.
