This was exactly what Na Jun wanted. He immediately drove his Tesla with Li Xiao Yue to the beauty company for an interview.
Li Xiao Yue's professional skills were quite good,
Plus, Na Jun's brother Na Wei, the vice president, was in charge of the marketing department. The interview was just a formality.
Na Wei immediately arranged for Li Xiao Yue to start working.
After sending Li Xiao Yue to the beauty company, Na Jun drove his Tesla to the IT giant where he worked.
As he entered the company gate, he discovered that his keyword system now had 860 points!
Na Jun directly upgraded his existing keywords. Each upgrade required 200 points, so he didn't hesitate to upgrade the few keywords that helped him slack off!
From "Gradually Improving" to "Gradually Reaching Perfection," Na Jun, whether acting with superiors or subordinates, whether managing upward, or even making promises, had greatly improved and became more comfortable.
Na Jun sat comfortably in front of his computer.
He glanced at his team members, a playful smile spreading across his lips, and began to assign the day's tasks.
"Tang Xiao Ping," he called, "these, these, and those, they're all yours."
Tang Xiao Ping saw the ever-growing task list. A hint of pride crossed his lips, but he feigned a bitter smile and said.
"Team Leader, are you trying to work me to death?"
"Those who can, do more," Na Jun chuckled.
Since Na Jun had dumped the negative keywords of "Workaholic" onto Tang Xiao Ping, the guy had completely changed his former attitude of lying flat, slacking off, and being useless. Now he was incredibly proactive, more eager to work than anyone else.
While he said those words, he actually carried a proud demeanor, boasting to other team members about how much their leader valued him.
Seeing Tang Xiao Ping receive so many heavy tasks and act so proudly, Na Jun chuckled to himself, "I'll work you to death, you son of a bitch."
Then, Na Jun assigned himself a seemingly critical but actually very easy task that could be completed in a few minutes.
After assigning tasks, Na Jun pretended to be serious and opened a document.
The document was filled with dense programming code, but a closer look revealed that the code was interspersed with novel plot lines.
This was his unique method of slacking off. As long as no one was right behind him, no one would be able to tell he was reading a novel.
Just as he was engrossed in the novel, the department director, Lu, walked over.
Na Jun's heart skipped a beat, but his face remained impassive. He tapped a few random keys on the keyboard, pretending to be diligently programming.
Lu glanced at Na Jun's computer screen, saw the screen filled with programming code, and nodded approvingly.
"Well, good, Na Jun, keep working hard."
With that, Lu turned and went back to his office.
Na Jun breathed a sigh of relief, grateful that his slacking off strategy had worked.
He looked around, making sure no one was paying attention to him, and then continued to read his novel with a clear conscience.
And so, Na Jun successfully achieved lying flat and being useless during work hours, while also reading an exciting online novel.
He touched his heart and found that it didn't hurt at all, so he felt even more at ease.
He continued reading for a full hour, and then the system prompted.
"Ding-dong! Congratulations, master! For successfully slacking off by reading a novel instead of programming, your points have doubled! Your current points have increased by 120!"
Then, Na Jun got up and went to the bathroom, spending half an hour watching short videos on the toilet.
"Ding-dong! Congratulations, master! For successfully slacking off using the classic "bathroom escape," your points have doubled! Your current points have increased by 60!"
As Na Jun came out of the bathroom, he bumped into Lu, who was also going to the bathroom.
Lu asked in surprise, "Na Jun, why are you squatting in the bathroom for so long?"
His tone was full of suspicion, clearly doubting that Na Jun was slacking off in the bathroom.
Na Jun replied confidently.
"Director Lu, I'm constipated. I can't poop. I can't blame gravity, I can only blame you!
You made me work overtime all the time, and I'm always sitting in front of the computer. Now I have hemorrhoids and constipation. My body is terrible.
If I die suddenly at work someday, you'll be directly responsible…"
When Lu heard this, his face turned pale, and he said.
"Na Jun, you must not say such things.
How about I give you another half day off to go to the hospital for a check-up?"
Na Jun shook his head and chuckled, "That's not necessary.
But if you bring up my toilet time again, I'll say this again. I'll let everyone in the company judge for themselves."
Lu was speechless and could only admit defeat.
"Since you have this problem, then you can squat in the toilet for as long as you want. I don't care anymore."
Na Jun returned to his workstation and continued reading his novel.
He had now figured out the system's rules. Slacking off at work doubled the points, so he might as well continue slacking off at work.
Even during overtime, Na Jun did not object.
He continued to work overtime and slack off. He assigned most of the work to his subordinates, only occasionally typing in key code.
Most of the time, he was reading novels or watching short videos in the bathroom.
The day went by just like that!
None of Na Jun's subordinates noticed anything because he now possessed the "Gradually Reaching Perfection" acting skills, which allowed him to play the part of a hard worker.
Furthermore, the tasks he assigned to each person were unknown to others, and eventually, they all ended up with him.
This allowed him to pass off a large portion of the work as his own.
"Ding-dong! Congratulations, master! For successfully slacking off within the company for eight hours, your points have doubled! Congratulations, master! You have gained 960 points!"
At 8 p.m., the other members of the team finally finished their work.
They were all exhausted, but they found their team leader full of energy. They couldn't help but marvel at how amazing their team leader, Na Jun, was. Even after working non-stop for so long, he didn't seem tired at all.
Moreover, they recalled that their team leader had camped overnight with his young, beautiful, pure, and sexy girlfriend last night, and yet he was still so energetic today. He was truly a gifted individual, someone to be envied…
Na Jun sighed slightly, if only he had a beautiful female boss like Andy (Ode to Joy), Na Lan (The Startup Era), or Su Mang (Across the Ocean to See You) or a beautiful secretary like Li Na, he could slack off in a more ambiguous way while at work, that would truly be the pinnacle of human pleasure…
