Chapter 16
Eriri Ran Away!

“Long time no see, 澤村-san.”

“Huh!?”

Eriri widened her eyes, staring fixedly at the guy in front of her.

They remained frozen for three seconds.

Three seconds later.

Eriri gritted her teeth and ran away.

“Hey! Eriri!”

Seeing her daughter run away, Sayuri hurriedly called out.

Unfortunately, Eriri had no intention of turning back.

She was clearly not in a state to listen.

Seeing this, Sayuri turned to Yukimura and said, “Sorry, Yukimura-kun.”

Then she pretended to pull up the hem of her kimono, ready to chase after her.

Yukimura reached out to stop Sayuri.

“Sayuri-san, it would be inconvenient for you to move around like that, I'll go chase after her.”

Hearing this, Sayuri simply let go of the hem of her kimono.

In fact, that was her intention all along.

If Yukimura hadn't stopped her.

Sayuri was going to stage a scene of twisting her ankle.

After all, she was wearing wooden clogs.

Such an ‘accident’ would be quite normal, right?

“Then, I'll leave Eriri to you, Yukimura-kun!”

Sayuri said.

Yukimura nodded, then took off after Eriri.

Sayuri watched Yukimura's quickly disappearing figure.

She touched her cheek and smiled.

“A-la a-la...”

Eriri ran forward with her head down.

澤村·斯賓塞·英梨梨, was a shut-in.

She loved watching anime, playing second-dimensional games, and she was even a doujinshi artist who drew color pictures.

During the entire spring break, Eriri had never even stepped outside.

She stayed cooped up in the house all day, either drawing doujinshi or watching anime and playing games.

But today was different.

Today, there was a large anime convention at a commercial plaza in Osaka.

Although Eriri didn't plan to attend the convention.

But Eriri's mother, Sayuri invited her to go to the convention together.

As a shut-in, and with Sayuri's invitation.

Eriri readily agreed.

The convention wasn't very interesting.

After all, it was just a small-time convention, not even close to the level of Winter Comiket that she usually attended.

Eriri even regretted going out.

But.

When leaving the convention and getting ready to go home.

On the street of the plaza, Eriri stopped.

Her gaze pierced through the crowd, falling on a figure.

It felt like a dream.

It was like she was dreaming.

Eriri stood there, frozen in place.

Then, Sayuri followed her gaze, and called out.

When that figure turned around.

Eriri was incredibly glad she had gone out today.

‘If I missed this, I'd regret it for the rest of my life. It's a fated encounter!’

Such thoughts appeared in Eriri's mind.

Since they parted ways.

She had almost constantly thought of this figure.

Even in her dreams, they would meet.

But

“Long time no see, 澤村-san.”

Those words shattered Eriri's hopes, tearing the dream of their reunion to shreds.

‘What the heck! You were supposed to call me 澤村, yet you kept calling me Eriri, Eriri, like you were dying!’

Transparent tears fell behind Eriri.

They landed on the ground, shattering into glittering pieces.

The fantasy of meeting again.

Was completely shattered by those two words, “澤村-san.”

After Yukimura and 澤村·斯賓塞·英梨梨 met.

He had never called her by her last name.

Instead, he stubbornly called her Eriri.

Even though Eriri had protested and corrected him a few times.

He didn't listen at all, and kept calling her 'Eriri', 'Eriri'.

Eventually, Eriri got used to the name and stopped arguing.

So, this unfamiliar address completely overwhelmed the sense of familiarity in Eriri's heart.

Since they parted ways, for the first time, Eriri clearly understood.

She and Yukimura had broken up.

So, the girl's heart broke.

Those two light words, were like the call before a landslide, the last straw that broke the camel's back.

So, Eriri ran away.

The girl running away with her head down didn't notice the person coming towards her.

Then, with a 'bang' sound.

Eriri bumped into someone.

“I'm sorry, I'm sorry.”

Eriri apologized reflexively.

Although she was a tsundere, as a true lady, Eriri was well-mannered.

But, being well-mannered sometimes isn't a good thing.

“You, do you know what you're doing? You have no eyes, you jerk!”

The harsh curse reached her ears.

Eriri froze in place, shocked.

She had apologized immediately, and even didn't fall down.

Why would they say such things?

Eriri lifted her watery eyes to look over.

She saw two girls who were taller than her, wearing short skirts with their jackets tied around their waists, their hair dyed red, and their faces full of deliberately impatient expressions.

Delinquents!

They clearly looked like delinquent girls.

Reality is reality.

In light novels, delinquents might just be a kind of good-natured, cute attribute.

But seeing them in real life would make people want to avoid them, feel uneasy and troubled.

“What's that look on your face? It's really annoying!”

“Baka yarou, did you bump your head or something?”

They clearly thought Eriri was easy to bully.

The two delinquents took advantage of the situation.

“You guys... what do you want? My boyfriend is nearby, he'll be here soon!”

Due to her uneasiness, Eriri subconsciously said these words.

She had read online that when dealing with delinquents, it's best to make them afraid.

Two girls, should be afraid of guys, right?

“Tsk!” The two girls did seem to hesitate, they clicked their tongues in displeasure.

After looking at each other.

One of them extended her hand towards Eriri.

Seeing Eriri's puzzled expression, the girl rolled her eyes and said:

“We shouldn't just let you off, but we're in a good mood today, so we'll let you go this time. Pay a few thousand yen, be careful next time!”
