Chapter 5
Aleister Crowley

Many people believe that The Book of the Law was written by Aleister Crowley, but in reality, the book was dictated by Aiwass to Aleister Crowley, and Aleister Crowley simply recorded it. Therefore, the knowledge recorded in The Book of the Law is not Aleister Crowley's own, but belongs to the "Holy Guardian Angel" Aiwass.

Apart from the few people who know about The Book of 777, Aleister Crowley's true achievement is The Book of Thoth.

Aleister Crowley, utilizing his knowledge of Egyptian mythology, Judaism, Hebrew symbols, the I Ching, alchemy, astrology, and numerology, created his own set of tarot cards—Thoth Tarot—and The Book of Thoth records his understanding of this tarot deck.

Thoth Tarot is arguably the most classic tarot deck in the world, holding a significant position in the occult and being an important tool for spiritual practice.

Now, Aiwass exists in the form of a "plurality" behind Roy. If Roy is willing, he can rewrite The Book of the Law through Aiwass.

The Book of the Law should have already been written by Aleister Crowley, right? If I write another Book of the Law, wouldn't it conflict with Aleister Crowley's original version?”

Roy sat in his chair, playing with a quill in his hand, and flipped open the Book of the Law in front of him.

Three-quarters of this Book of the Law was already written, with only a quarter of blank pages remaining. For a grimoire, before it is completely finished, it is just a normal book with words recorded on it. However, when a grimoire is finally completed, it will manifest an incredible magical power.

“So-called grimoire originals are simply a medium for a magician to record his lifetime's knowledge. If someone else copies the grimoire, since they don't understand the knowledge within, the copied book will just be an ordinary thing. However, if it's the original author of the grimoire, as long as they have the ability, they can write two identical grimoire originals.”

Aiwass's voice was still the same, obscure, like a distorted tape recorder. But Roy understood her meaning.

In other words, if someone else simply copied the contents of The Book of the Law, it wouldn't have any magic. But if a new Book of the Law was dictated by Aiwass herself, then two Book of the Laws would exist in the world.

Aiwass is a “Secret Leader” who has the power to create two identical grimoire originals.

“I understand. Then let's start copying it now. Today, let's complete The Book of the Law.”

As Roy's words fell, the Aiwass behind him transformed into rays of light and disappeared. Subsequently, Roy's gaze became vacant and empty, as if his body was being controlled by someone else.

That long hand holding the quill moved spontaneously on the paper, and as his lips moved, it was as if a “spirit” was controlling his body, transmitting “the only necessary parts of the necessary knowledge” to him by word of mouth.

“…”

The Book of the Law, Chapter 3, Verse 72: I am the master of the strong double staff, and it is the power of COPH.NIA, but my left hand is empty, for my right hand has shattered the universe and left nothing behind!”

“…”

The Book of the Law, Chapter 3, Verse 74: My hidden and honorable name is radiant, just as the midnight sun is always the son!”

The Book of the Law, Chapter 3, Verse 75: The word that ends all is: ABRAHADABRA!”

The Book of the Law is written, then hidden, AUM.HA, AUM.HA!”

When Roy's right hand, holding the quill, finished writing the last letter of The Book of the Law, the book suddenly moved without any wind, and the “rustle” of paper echoed in the bedroom. Roy's eyes remained vacant, his heartbeat was strong, his breathing steady, but his brain was immobile, as if his “spirit” had detached from his body, traversing the material world and heading to another “phase” unknown to the world.

This is a phase where only “spirits” exist, lacking any known matter. Neither physical laws nor familiar rules apply here; it has its own set of laws.

It was the first time Roy had come to this strange “phase,” and because of his unfamiliarity with it, his body could not move for the time being, and even the concept of “body” didn’t exist. All he had left was thought.

But Aleister Crowley was different. He clearly understood this “phase” and had conducted in-depth research. Not only could he easily speak here, but he could even materialize his form.

And just as Roy was engaging in the only thing he could do—thinking—a voice suddenly came from this “phase” where there should have been only Roy and no one else.

The voice sounded like both a man and a woman, as if filled with infinite possibilities. The owner of the voice was like someone who had discovered a new and fascinating animal, and exclaimed, “……Interesting, interesting. How did you get to this ‘phase’?”

“……Oh? Let me think. It should be through The Book of the Law, right? I remember that book should be in the hands of the Roman Orthodox Church. Are you one of the people sent by the Roman Orthodox Church to interpret The Book of the Law?”

“It seems I underestimated the Roman Orthodox Church. Someone actually managed to find the most correct path of interpretation amidst countless errors.”

The voice spoke to itself, its tone slightly frivolous. Then Roy “saw” a human form appear in this intangible phase. He had silver hair that reached his back, wore a magnificent black coat that looked like a military uniform, and on his shoulders, a long military cloak, which added a touch of solemnity to the man's luxuriousness.

This was a man who could make countless women swoon with just his face and aura.

Aleister Crowley. As soon as Roy “saw” this man, he recognized him.

His father, the father he had never met, the “Beast of Revelation,” the “King of Beasts,” the “Most Evil Man in the World,” and so on and so forth, were all his titles.

Upon seeing Aleister Crowley, Roy's surprise quickly turned into ecstatic joy. He had been wondering how to find this man, but never expected to meet him in this strange “phase” after completing the Book of the Law.

Roy wanted to speak, but couldn’t utter a single word. The rules of this “phase” were completely different from the material world. Before he adapted to and understood the rules here, even simple actions like “speaking” were impossible.

Right now, Roy didn't even have a body, he was just a spirit, a thinking spirit.

But Aleister Crowley was different. He clearly understood this “phase” and had conducted in-depth research. Not only could he easily speak here, but he could even materialize his form.

“This is the phase of imaginary numbers. It's your misfortune to meet me here, unknown person… 'The Fantasy Killer' was broken in the battle with Mathers. For the sake of my grand plan, it's not time for you to transmit my location information to the magicians yet.”

Aleister Crowley said this, and then, under Roy's bewildered gaze, the greatest magician of the 20th century slowly raised his right hand. He clenched his right fist and extended his thumb and index finger, making the well-known gesture of a shooter.

And that gun was pointed directly at Roy!
