Chapter 32
The Kidnapping of the Princess

A coffee shop on the side of the street in London, England. The coffee shop wasn't luxurious, just a common chain store on the street. Roy, Erica, and Liliana sat at a window seat, enjoying the 'commoner's' coffee and a cake that Erica, the young lady, found a little too rich.

Erica and Liliana sat on either side of Roy. The combination of one man and two women attracted the attention of English gentlemen. Many men in the coffee shop who were working on their laptops would steal glances in their direction.

Erica had the passion unique to Italians. Her golden hair and the proud air of a noble girl, coupled with her delicate and beautiful face and her stunning figure, made her appear as elegant as a jewel. A woman like her walking on the street would be the center of attention.

Not to mention that beside her was a beautiful girl who was completely different in style but equally amazing. As an Eastern European, Liliana's skin was fair and white, like a lovely doll. Especially when she put on a serious face, her unyielding knightly spirit showed off a different kind of grace.

Naturally, Roy, who was surrounded by two girls with such different styles, became the object of other people's furtive glances and even envy.

However, Roy was not interested in the 'commoner's' attention. He simply looked out of the window, across the road, at a building that could be called a palace.

“This must be the residence of the Duke of Gaulting. To have such a palace as a residence in London, even if it's not in the center, shows the power of the Duke's ancestors.”

Roy clicked his tongue, taking a sip of the ordinary coffee in his cup.

“The Duke of Gaulting has a close relationship with the royal family. This palace belongs to the royal family and is the residence of the Duke of Gaulting's only daughter, Princess Alice, who is known throughout the European magic world. ... ‘King’, why are we observing here instead of going in?”

Erica heard Roy's sigh. Though she wanted to retort that Roy now considered the whole of Vatican City his own, the palace-style building of the Duke of Gaulting was simply nothing compared to the Vatican, she still suppressed her urge to do so and gave Roy a brief explanation of the Duke's ancestors' glory.

“Before kidnapping a target, you always need to scout the place. This is what we're doing now. We're scouting the place.”

Roy casually explained to Erica about her question.

“‘King’, aren't we supposed to request a meeting with Princess Alice, then meet with her and have her help the ‘King’ complete the ceremony?”

Liliana couldn't help but ask.

“What if Princess Alice doesn't want to do the ceremony for me?”

Roy asked back.

“I think Princess Alice wouldn't dare refuse the ‘King’s’ request.”

Liliana said from her own understanding.

“Haha, Lili, you're smart but a little naive. Even the ‘King’ isn't respected by everyone. It's not like everyone will just listen to you. This ‘White Princess’ has disrupted Alexander Gascoyne's affairs many times. With the precedent of this ‘Black Prince’, I don't want to meet a princess who is merely paying lip service to me.”

Roy gave a hearty laugh, but then he quickly stopped smiling and became cold. “ ... So when dealing with some people, you have to be strong, make her fear you, know that you can do horrible things without any bottom line. Only then will she be afraid to resist you.”

“ ... Moreover, I am the ‘King’, why would I need to request a meeting? Isn't that a blow to my face? When I arrive here, our Princess should prepare a welcome for me. I am not Alexander Gascoyne, who would make this Princess think she can handle me.”

“Hmph, two years ago, why did the Marquis of Woburn go all the way to the Far East to find the witch? If the Marquis had come to London to find this princess at that time, I wouldn't have to work so hard. I'm sure this ‘White Princess’ would have learned from the Marquis’s teachings how to flatter someone, so let's go, we'll go see this princess whose reputation is the best in Europe now.”

After saying that, Roy got up, pushed open the door of the coffee shop, and walked across the road. Erica followed him closely, while Liliana quickly got up to pay.

“‘King’, according to the news we received from Oceania, Sir Salvatore hasn't found the Unorthodox God, and he may be returning to Italy soon.”

Erica, following behind Roy, whispered.

“What do you think of Salvatore Tony, Erica? ... Do you think he will be angry with me for taking what is his?”

“From my understanding of Sir Salvatore, he wouldn't care about this ... Only he might come to challenge the ‘King’. He's just a combat maniac obsessed with swords.”

Erica answered without hesitation. Obviously, she had already thought about this answer.

“Well, Erica, you're right. That guy's brain is missing a screw. If he comes to find me, I'll just fight him ... I know what you mean, don't worry, I'm not a demon. I don't like making meaningless killings when it's unnecessary. If he wants to fight me, I'll choose a quiet place.”

Hearing Roy's assessment of the Sword King, Erica couldn't help but chuckle, but she had to admit that Roy was right. At the same time, Erica felt relieved. The Seven Sisters Alliance, after learning that Salvatore was returning to Italy, had urgently contacted Erica, hoping she could find a way to persuade the new ‘King’ to avoid causing too much damage to the Italian cities.

If the two Godslayers fought in major cities like Rome and Milan, it would be a war!

Erica had been worried about how to persuade the ‘King’, who was ‘cruel’ and ‘does as he pleases’, but now it seemed that the ‘King’, while a little strange in his thinking and actions, was not someone who liked to kill indiscriminately.

At this moment, Liliana, who had finished paying, hurried to catch up with the two. After seeing the hint in Erica's eyes, she also felt reassured. As the magic society was located in Italy itself, and they were both Italians, they naturally did not want to see this land and people suffer from a disaster.

“I'm sorry, this is private property. It's not a palace for public viewing. Please leave.”

As Roy and the others approached the gate of the palace-style building, security guards came forward to stop them.

These security guards were ordinary people, nothing to do with magic.

Before Roy could speak, Erica and Liliana exchanged a look. The two girls stepped forward at the same time, directly activating suggestion magic, allowing the security guards to pass. They were afraid that these people would annoy the ‘King’ and be turned into pillars of salt as a result.

The security guards, affected by the suggestion magic, quickly stepped aside, allowing Roy and the others to enter the estate.

Roy was not angry at Erica and Liliana's actions. He knew that the two girls wanted to minimize casualties.

Roy only cared about the result, not the process. It didn't matter if he had to fight his way in to see the White Princess or use suggestion magic to get to see her. As long as the outcome was unchanged, it was irrelevant.

Roy also didn't dislike the kindness deep down in Erica and Liliana's hearts. Whether they were kind or murderous killers, as long as they didn't defy him, didn't think they were superior, and kept their positions, and were capable, they would be pleased by Roy.

Since they had this kindness, he wouldn't twist their nature, he would let them bloom as flowers of kindness as much as possible.

Along the way, they were unobstructed. With the two great knights as vanguards, Roy easily passed through the garden and into the building.

Then, Erica and Liliana's suggestion magic finally failed. A middle-aged woman stood in front of them.
