Chapter 28
Princess Alice

Greenwich is located southeast of Greater London, England, on the south bank of the River Thames. It is the home of the Prime Meridian, and within the Royal Greenwich Park on the banks of the Thames River, there is a world-renowned comprehensive observatory - the Royal Observatory, Greenwich.

This is an observatory with hundreds of years of history.

Although the Royal Observatory, Greenwich moved out fifty years ago, the original site remains. Ordinary people think that the observatory was abandoned because it was too old, but only those in the mystical world know that the observatory was moved because the original site was used as headquarters by a comprehensive magical society in England, namely the "Greenwich Council of Wise Men".

The origin of the "Greenwich Council of Wise Men" is quite funny and sad. It wasn't founded by a single person, but a group of busybodies who were too "nosy" and formed a small intelligence exchange group. Who would have thought that such a small group that wasn't even a magical society would eventually develop into a very famous organization in the mystical world.

The composition of the Council of Wise Men is extremely complex, including magicians, fairy doctors, mystical scholars, even technology experts, amateur researchers, clergy, artists, nobles, royalty, and some wealthy tycoons.

The Council of Wise Men cannot be called a strict organization, but rather a loose circle, used for exchanging intelligence. It is the best channel for people related to the mystical world to get the first-hand information about the mystical world.

And today, an extraordinary meeting is taking place at the Greenwich Observatory.

The Council of Wise Men is called a council because the organization's managers are a group of elderly wise men. They are named after the ancient Greek philosopher Diogenes and use a council model to decide the organization's direction.

"Today's emergency meeting is about another Demon King causing trouble, right?"

Among a group of old scholars with gray hair, there is a very special woman. She has a slender figure, shimmering white-gold hair, fair skin, and looks about twenty years old, but she has the elegant grace of a noblewoman while sitting still.

The woman exudes a charming aura like the world's most precious perfume. She wears a white velvet blouse with a flower knot embroidered on the collar, a precious shawl draped over her shoulders, her hands clasped together on either side of the chair. Her clear voice sounds slightly helpless, yet filled with curiosity and enthusiasm.

She is Alice. Louise. Ouve. Naffer, the former chairman of the Greenwich Council of Wise Men, now the special advisor, known as the "White Princess". People usually call her "Princess Alice".

Although Alice is the youngest member of the council, she is the most powerful witch in Europe. Her strength lies not in combat but in her psychic abilities. Coupled with her extraordinary talent and vast knowledge, she became the chairman in her teens.

Although for the Greenwich Council of Wise Men, the chairman's role is actually not that big.

Later, perhaps the princess lost interest in being the chairman, or perhaps she was truly tired, she resigned under the pretext of "ill health".

This is not a false reason, but because of the princess's strong magical power, she is much weaker than ordinary people, a weakness that cannot be cured by magic or science.

"Princess Alice, this emergency meeting is about the New King."

"Ah, old sage, please don't call me with such respect. It makes me feel embarrassed."

Alice sat up straight, her posture elegant as she spoke.

Then she smiled expectantly: "...We, the Council of Wise Men, still have very little information about the New King. Is there anything special this time?"

"This time, the New King successfully killed a Unwilling God on the Italian island of Ponza. According to our intelligence, this Unwilling God is the Archangel Metatron recorded in the Book of Enoch. We don't know about the powers obtained after killing Metatron yet, but we have already learned a little about the powers the New King gained from killing Michael."

"...This is the battle scene on Ponza Island at the time. We used the British government's military satellites to shoot it."

An old Diogenes scholar directly played a video using a projector. The magicians in this world are not averse to technology. On the contrary, they are very good at using technology. For example, when they know that they cannot get close to the battlefield of the Kingslayers and Unwilling Gods, they will use technological means to spy.

"The destructive power of the Kingslayers is still so powerful, whether it's the Old King or the New King."

Seeing Ponza Island completely annihilated under Roy's powers in the video, Alice exclaimed.

"Princess Alice, this video will be archived later. Only Diogenes-level council members can view it. Any information related to 'King' must be carefully preserved, lest we offend some 'King'..."

"...According to known intelligence, the powers the New King obtained after killing Michael are different from other Kingslayers' powers. It is a power with multiple uses. Now the New King has revealed four uses, we don't know how many are hidden."

"The first is an extremely powerful close-combat power;"

"The second is the large-scale celestial fire power that destroyed Ponza Island, as well as the same Magical Eye power as the Earl of Voban;"

"The third is the power to summon an angel army;"

"The fourth is the power to transform into an angel, which seems to be similar to the 'Black Prince's' speed."

"...It's impossible for Kingslayers to kill a god and gain multiple powers, so we suspect there are some restrictions on these powers. The details are a secret of the 'King', which we dare not pry into. The powers the New King uses are all related to Michael's deeds, but the Archangel has too many deeds. We can't guess what the New King's remaining powers are for."

The old scholar explained in a modulated tone to everyone present.

"Has anyone given a name to the New King's powers?"

Alice clasped her hands together in front of her abdomen and asked ladylike.

"We have inquired about the 'King's' opinion. At the New King's request, this power has been named 'Divine Right' ... And Princess Alice, please see, this is some information about the New King's personality that we obtained from your former knight Paul. Brantley."

"...As for more specific details, only the New King's current exclusive knight, Erica Brantley, knows. She is unlikely to reveal it. This Great Knight recently received the title of 'Deep Red Demon' from 'Bronze Black Cross'."

The old scholar handed a piece of paper to Alice.

Alice quickly skimmed the information, then said with a headache: "...This is the kind of Kingslayer I fear the most. You wrote in the information that the New King's personality is very similar to the Earl of Voban, but in my opinion, he is more like Alexander Gascoigne."

"...No, he is more difficult to deal with than both the Earl of Voban and Gascoigne. Gascoigne is calm and likes to plan carefully. But because of his caution, he will always act within his limits. As long as you grasp his limits, you can predict his actions. The Earl of Voban is ruthless and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. But he is also arrogant and self-willed. As long as you use gentle means, you may be able to win him over."

"But this New King is different. From his actions in Rome, we can see that he is not only sufficiently arbitrary but also has wisdom and strategy. He is the type I fear the most."

"...A terrorist who is cunning and loves to plot. A real disaster!"
