Chapter 6
Entering the Monster Hunter World

Aurelia looked at her adjusted reflection and nodded in satisfaction.

Her golden hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall. When the wind blew, it gently lifted, sending strands dancing, making the already petite and adorable figure seem even more lively and beautiful, like a little fairy.

The girl’s large eyes sparkled with a vibrancy as if all the spiritual energy of the world was concentrated within them, exceptionally beautiful and alluring, like shining jewels that drew attention. At least Zhang Xing Yu had been staring at the little Lolita’s eyes for quite some time.

“A reflection of the spiritual energy within her, that’s why she possesses such a gaze,” the Dream Demon Lord explained.

Although the options to choose from were limited, Aurelia had made the most of them. For instance, she’d applied makeup to the corners of her eyes and lips. The most obvious, however, was a cute red doodle on her forehead, adding a mysterious touch to the little Lolita’s adorable image.

“Kuku————As expected of me, I’m cute no matter how I dress up~~” The little Lolita said to the mirror. You wouldn’t believe it, but she was a bit of a narcissist.

However, she soon frowned. She tugged at her chest… a very unfortunate flat plane.

“Waah————Why can’t I adjust my figure?!”

【Confirm image?】

Aurelia clicked confirm.

After Aurelia clicked confirm, the mist around her thinned further. She saw a path, approximately 20 meters long, appear behind the mirror. At the end of the path, there was an open doorway.

“This is telling me to enter this door…” Aurelia muttered, looking around. Except for the newly appeared gateway, everything else was shrouded in mist.

As a seasoned gamer, Aurelia had a strong urge to explore the mist first. If she were playing the game on her computer right now, she would have already done so. However, this was Aurelia herself. Although this was a dream, she was a bit afraid of entering the mist alone, so she ultimately gave up the idea of venturing into the unknown and headed towards the gateway.

Before Aurelia’s eyes, a flag billowed in the wind, and a male voice echoed through the air.

【So… fellow members of the Fifth Investigative Squad, time is almost up. Let’s cut the goodbyes. Once you board this ship, there’s no turning back. If you haven’t made up your mind, I advise you to turn back here.

Now, we set sail for the New Continent!

May the guiding Azure Star shine upon you.】

With the male’s final, somewhat excited, words, Aurelia seemed to vaguely see many others who had passed through the gateway as well.

The scene gradually blurred. When it came into focus again, Aurelia saw a goblet. Then, it was lifted, and a young man clad in armor gulped down the wine.

“Ah, finally awake, finally awake!” The young man seemed to notice that Aurelia had woken up. He laughed and said, “If you can’t hold your liquor, don’t drink. One cup and you’re out.”

“Wine?” Aurelia looked at herself and discovered that she was holding a goblet in her right hand, empty now.

“Where… where are we?” Aurelia asked.

“Hey, hey————Did you get so drunk that your mind went blank? This is the expedition ship. We’re about to reach the New Continent,” the man said.

“Eh? The New Continent? Hmm, the animation before… I think…” Aurelia muttered.

“Ah?” The man asked, confused.

“Don’t be surprised. She’s an Adventurer.” At this point, the woman who had been sitting next to the man, reading a book, put it down and said.

“I see… So you’re one of those legendary Adventurers… No wonder. I was wondering why someone as young as you could board this ship.” After hearing this, the man suddenly understood. He looked at Aurelia several times, as if it was his first time seeing an Adventurer.

“Eh? Adventurer?” Aurelia was bewildered.

“Looks like you’re really out of it, huh? Hey——” The man on the other side laughed and started drinking again.

The term “Adventurer” was what Zhang Xing Yu called the player community, distinct from the natives of the Dream Demon World. In the Dream Demon World, almost all natives had a certain level of awareness (setting) of these “Adventurers”.

Aurelia observed her surroundings. The place seemed to be like a small tavern. There were many people inside, some gathered together in discussion, some drinking, others sharpening their weapons, others reading books. It was very lively.

Aurelia felt out of place here. She didn’t know what to do.

“This lousy game doesn’t even have a main quest?” Aurelia checked again and couldn’t help but say.

“Do you think there will be secrets of the Ancient Dragon on the New Continent?” The young man in armor, having finished his drink, asked the woman beside him.

“Since the first investigation, this time the guild has sent our Fifth Investigative Squad, it seems they are very optimistic about solving the mystery of the Ancient Dragon’s migration.”

“Ancient Dragon… I hope that one day, I can hunt Ancient Dragons and become a legendary Hunter…” the man said.

“Hunt Ancient Dragons… Is this the main quest of the game?” Aurelia muttered.

After listening for a while longer, Aurelia left her seat and went to a window.

“It’s the sea… so vast…”

“Did you notice? Just now, the sound of the waves suddenly changed… It feels like we’re approaching land.”

Aurelia turned her head and saw a young woman (AIBO) in yellow leather armor, smiling and talking to her.

“Hello, Adventurer Miss, please be…”

At that moment, the ship violently shook.
