Chapter 60
Borrowing Okada Wakako's Knife?

After arriving at the company plaza, Jiang Heng and Lucy parked their car and went shopping in the luxurious mall nearby.

The company plaza was truly the heart of Night City, with countless rich people coming and going. You could tell the difference in economic levels between this area and other parts of Night City just by looking at the cars driving on the streets.

Looking down the street, almost all the vehicles were luxury sports cars, including the Rayfield “Stone Sword” that Jiang Heng had his eye on.

The Stone Sword was undoubtedly the most beautiful car in Cyberpunk 2077, as well as the fastest.

Unfortunately, Jiang Heng didn’t see the pure black version. Otherwise, he would have borrowed one for a spin.

Jiang Heng preferred the pure black Stone Sword, as its crystal sphere technology, windshield, and windows were all made of pure black material, making the Stone Sword look like a single body, smooth and flowing. Combined with its unique engine roar, it instantly stimulated his masculine desire to conquer.

Even the Rayfield “Lake Lady”, which was much more expensive than the Stone Sword, couldn't compare. It was a mere showpiece. Apart from its price, it couldn't compete with the Stone Sword in any way, neither in appearance nor speed.

Of course, this was just Jiang Heng's personal aesthetic preference.

Time passed slowly. Lucy, who had become a regular girl while shopping, laughed and chatted happily along the way.

It seemed that shopping could make any girl happy, no matter what era.

Soon, dusk began to fall.

It was the end of winter and the beginning of spring, so it got dark early. By 6 p.m., the streetlights of Night City had already been lit.

Jiang Heng and Lucy parked their car in a parking lot near the company plaza and waited for David’s call.

Ding-dong~

Luckily, David was reliable and didn’t keep them waiting long. Soon, Jiang Heng’s phone rang, and it was David calling.

“Hey, where are you? I’m out of school.”

As soon as the call was connected, David’s voice came from the other side.

“Company plaza, west parking lot. It's a “Thunderbolt McKinnon Warhorse”, it should be pretty obvious, you'll see it when you arrive.” Jiang Heng didn’t beat around the bush, replying directly.

“Okay, I’ll be there in ten minutes.”

After hanging up, they didn’t even wait ten minutes before David appeared.

At the same time, David also saw the conspicuous “Thunderbolt McKinnon Warhorse” in the parking lot.

No way. The company plaza was mostly filled with luxury sports cars or luxury business sedans. The Warhorse, with its armored pickup truck size, stood out like a sore thumb, easily noticeable at a glance.

After spotting the Warhorse, David ran towards them and tapped on the window.

Jiang Heng rolled down the window and said, “Get in.”

Without hesitation, David opened the backseat door and got in.

“Got the latest equipment?”

David: “Got it.”

Jiang Heng: “Good. Give it to us. We’ll be back here tomorrow morning. I'll return the equipment to you.”

With things settled, David didn't drag his feet and handed the equipment to Lucy, who was sitting in the passenger seat.

“Okay, where do you live? We've got the car, we can give you a ride.” Jiang Heng said.

“Westbrook Neon Street. Drop me off at the Jig-Jig Street.” David replied, being cautious and not revealing his exact address.

Jiang Heng didn’t say anything more, and started the car.

He knew Jig-Jig Street like the back of his hand. He had been there often while playing the game.

Also, a very important NPC, Okada Wakako, was in Jig-Jig Street.

Thinking about Okada Wakako, Jiang Heng suddenly remembered the excellent katana she carried, “White Tiger.”

In the game, the “White Tiger” was a great sword, excellent to use. It was considered a divine weapon from the early to late game.

Of course, when Jiang Heng played the katana style, he usually went for the “Awakening” later in the game, because it had over 500% critical damage, truly overpowered. As long as he crit, whoever he hit would die.

Sian Weinstein, the protagonist, slashed at the enemy’s head, taking them out in one hit. When the time-stop effect ended, the battle was basically over.

“I guess I need to find time to talk to Wakako and see if she can lend me the White Tiger.” Jiang Heng thought to himself.

Besides the White Tiger, there were several katanas he had his eyes on, including the “Cocktail Stick” and the “Claw Grinder”, which were both in the hands of the Tiger Claw gang.

“Awakening” belonged to that old geezer, Arasaka, so he didn’t consider that for now.

Speaking of which, most of the immortal-grade katanas were in the hands of the Japanese. It seemed that the Japanese really had a thing for katanas. The Tiger Claw gang, whose members were mostly Japanese, loved using them.

Good swords were hard to come by. Jiang Heng decided that after finishing this job, he’d look for the Tiger Claw gang or Okada Wakako and see if they’d be willing to gift him a sword. That would be the best-case scenario.

Actually, Jiang Heng could also use his transfer ability to bring items from the game into reality, but it wasn’t necessary. The transfer opportunity was precious and shouldn’t be wasted on obtainable swords.
