Chapter 43: Stunning Spell - Physical Edition
“Zhang Dong! Since you’re here! Let’s settle the score from last time!”
Malfoy, Goyle, and Crabbe immediately pointed their wands at Zhang Dong without hesitation!
“Disarming Charm!”
“Stunning Spell!”
“Leg-Locker Curse!”
The three spells were unleashed by the trio. This time, their proficiency had improved significantly compared to before. Both the casting speed and power had been enhanced.
However…
“Armor Charm!”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
It was the same spell that had always baffled Malfoy and his cronies, but this time, their spells couldn't even penetrate the shield of the Armor Charm, only creating ripples before fading away.
“Petrificus Totalus!”
A Petrifying Curse shot out, instantly stiffening their bodies, causing them to fall backward.
“All of you! Attack together!!” Pansy noticed something was amiss, she quickly commanded everyone to attack together.
Perhaps due to Zhang Dong’s overwhelming suppression or maybe because their spell practice finally came to use, these little snakes actually were ready to fight back.
“Going for it? Then don’t blame me.” Zhang Dong casually picked up a stone from the ground, and with a flick of his wand, transformed it into a smooth, sturdy bludgeon.
“It seems like it’s time for you to experience the true Stunning Spell!”
“Lumos Maxima!”
Swish!
The advanced Lumos Maxima erupted instantly, blinding the unsuspecting little snakes with a burst of light!
“My eyes!!”
Before they could react, a couple of screams followed by the sound of heavy objects hitting the ground echoed in their ears.
“Ah!” “Ah!”
Two screams, followed by the sound of heavy objects hitting the ground! After 100% strength boost from two Hagrids and one giant, Zhang Dong’s current strength was on par with an adult.
This was also why Zhang Dong chose to use a bludgeon instead of spells. After all, who needs to cast spells when you can knock someone out quicker?
As for whether this method of fighting was too un-wizardly… Zhang Dong would say, “Didn’t I cast Lumos Maxima? And it’s the advanced version too!”
“He’s next to me!”
Suddenly, a voice rang out, and without any hesitation, the still disoriented little snakes unleashed a barrage of spells!
“Stunning Spell!”
“Leg-Locker Curse!”
“Serpensortia!”
As they unleashed a torrent of spells, they could hear familiar sounds!
“Ah!! My head!”
“My legs are paralyzed!!”
“My biceps! Who the hell unleashed the snake?!”
A bunch of first-year little wizards, casting spells with their eyes closed, could only rely on luck. It would be a miracle if they hit anything.
And even if they did hit, it wouldn't matter. Was Zhang Dong's intermediate Armor Charm just for show?
The little snakes finally regained their composure, but before they could even catch their breath, they heard Zhang Dong's voice, like a demon’s whisper!
“Lumos Maxima!”
“Close your eyes!” Blaise Zabini yelled frantically. Unfortunately, he was too late.
Bang! Bang!
Two more little snakes fell into childlike slumber. This time, they had learned their lesson, at least they weren't randomly casting spells anymore.
“Don’t open your eyes all at once! Keep half of you with eyes open and the other half closed! Wait until you hear Zhang Dong finish his incantation before opening your eyes together! He can’t cast spells consecutively!”
Blaise, unlike Malfoy, was a lot more reliable, but unfortunately… Zhang Dong wouldn’t give them a chance.
“Lumos Maxima!”
Perfect opportunity!
Hearing Zhang Dong’s words, the little snakes simultaneously opened their eyes, only to see Zhang Dong smiling at them. Then, a blinding light erupted!
Silent casting! Lumos Maxima!
That yell just now was just Zhang Dong fooling around, but this one was for real!
At this moment, all the little snakes had only one thought!
Underhanded!!
Bang! Bang!
More and more little snakes fell. This scene made the older snakes feel a twinge of pain in the back of their heads.
Seventh-year snakes:
“Damn it! If my classmates weren’t all busy graduating, I wouldn’t let him get away with this!”
Sixth-year snakes:
“Are we just going to watch?”
“What else can we do? It’s a first-year issue, and we’re a bunch of seventh-years. Even if we win, it’s a disgrace.”
Fifth-year snakes:
“That Lumos Maxima! That range! It’s advanced, right?”
“Of course it is! Damn! What kind of people are there? You’re so proficient with a simple Lumos spell! What are you doing?!”
“Exactly! I’m still stressing over my O.W.L.s, and here’s a first-year using advanced Lumos Maxima to massacre everyone! How are we supposed to live?!”
Fourth-year snakes:
“Should we step in?”
“Wait a bit. The older years haven’t moved yet. What would it look like if we jump in?”
Second-year snakes:
“Should… should we go help?”
“Help? You think you’re better than the first-years?!”
In the end, it was the third-year snakes who were the most dependable. Although they weren’t confident in defeating Zhang Dong, they couldn’t bear to see their juniors suffer.
So…
“Professor Snape! Stop watching! Save them!”
Hearing the shouts, Zhang Dong knew his time was running out.
There were only about a dozen first-year Slytherin wizards, and Zhang Dong had already dealt with most of them. Now, only Pansy and Blaise were left standing in front of him.
So…
“Disarming Charm!”
With a wave of his hand, their wands flew into Zhang Dong’s hands. Then, Zhang Dong, holding his bludgeon, smiled as he approached them…
Bang! Bang!
Two sounds later, they followed in the footsteps of their classmates.
Thus, Zhang Dong vs. all the first-year Slytherins, complete victory!
As Zhang Dong finished his fight, a voice boomed from overhead:
“Harry Potter caught the Snitch! Gryffindor wins!!”
On the Quidditch pitch, Harry, holding the golden ball, circled the field!
Witnessing this scene, all the little snakes slumped in dejection.
Wow, Slytherin really wasn’t having a good day.
On the other side, Ron and Neville erupted in cheers.
Today was truly Gryffindor’s lucky day!
Was this what they called a double win?
